Refried Bean Egg Roll

The Art of Tailgating: A Delicious Refried Bean Egg Roll Recipe to Try

Hey there, fellow football fans! It's that time of year again - tailgating season is upon us, and we're excited to share one of our favorite recipes with you. Today, we're going to dive into the world of refried bean egg rolls, a delicious and easy-to-make snack that's perfect for game day gatherings.

Our tailgate might be a little different than yours, but that's what makes it so special. We're rocking an old 1876 Stud Baker wagon, which adds to the rustic charm of our tailgating setup. But hey, tailgating is all about having fun and enjoying good food with friends and family.

To make these tasty refried bean egg rolls, we'll need a few simple ingredients. First, we'll start with a can of reff fried beans - four cups of goodness to get us started. Next, we'll add in some sour cream (a half cup should do the trick) and chopped green chilies (four ounces, optional but delicious). If you like a little kick, feel free to add some jalapeno to the mix.

We'll also need diced yellow onion, egg rolls (about 10-12 will get us started), and a package of pepper jack shredded cheese. Don't worry if you don't use all of the egg roll wraps - this recipe can easily be doubled or tripled if you want more.

Now that we have our ingredients, let's get started! In a bowl, we'll mix together our reff fried beans, sour cream, and green chilies until everything is nice and combined. Then, it's time to assemble the egg roll wraps. Take a tablespoon of bean mixture, add some diced onion, and sprinkle in some cheese - that's right, just like an envelope! Roll those bad boys tightly up, make sure they're secure on all sides (we don't want any oil sneaking in there), and get them ready for frying.

Now, the fun part: frying our little rascals! We'll use high-temp oil (peanut oil or creamy fry oil work great) and aim for that golden brown color. Cooking time is about 2-3 minutes total, and trust us, it's worth the wait.

Finally, we get to taste these delicious refried bean egg rolls - Mmmm... It's real good! The combination of beans, cheese, and green chilies is absolute perfection. And don't worry if you want to make more; just double or triple the recipe for a bigger batch.
