Galaxy Beam Projector android phone Unboxing & hands on

**Samsung Galaxy Beam: A Review**

The Samsung Galaxy Beam is a unique device that comes with a built-in projector, making it an attractive option for those looking for a device that can project content onto a screen. In this review, we will take a closer look at the features and capabilities of this device.

**First Impressions**

As soon as we turn on the device, we are greeted by its conventional design, which may not be new to Samsung fans. The Galaxy Beam is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor, which should provide decent performance for most tasks. The ROM size is 768 MB, which is relatively small compared to other devices in this class.

**Setting Up the Device**

The setup process is straightforward, with options to set up Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other connectivity features. However, we notice that the device comes pre-installed with Android version 2.3 (Gingerbread), which may not be the latest software available for this device. Fortunately, our research indicates that a newer update to Android version 2.3.6 is available, which should provide improved performance and security.

**Physical Overview**

The Galaxy Beam's design is quite functional, with a projector on top that can be accessed by pressing a dedicated button. This button is used for both the power on/off feature and adjusting the projector settings. Below this button, we find a microSD card slot, which is hot-swappable, allowing users to easily expand their storage capacity.

Moving towards the bottom of the device, we have a microUSB port for charging and syncing with computers, as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The device's back features a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash, which should provide decent photography capabilities. The front of the device features a 4-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, which is not HD but still suitable for most uses.

**Projector Capabilities**

One of the Galaxy Beam's standout features is its built-in projector. When we first turned on the device, we were impressed to see that the projector was functional and provided a decent image quality. The projector has a small light bulb that can be seen in the top right corner of the device, which serves as both the light source for the projection and a status indicator.

We tested the projector by moving it closer to a wall and adjusting its focus. To our surprise, the projected image was quite clear and well-defined, with minimal distortion or fading. However, we did notice that in brightly lit rooms, the image quality suffered significantly, requiring us to dim the lights to see any improvement. Nevertheless, this is a minor quibble considering the projector's overall performance.

**Conclusion**

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Beam is a unique device that offers a compelling combination of features and capabilities. While its design may not be particularly new or innovative, the built-in projector provides a useful functionality that sets it apart from other devices in this class. We are impressed by the projector's performance, especially considering its size and build quality.

As we conclude our review, we must note that the Galaxy Beam is not without its limitations. The device's small storage capacity and relatively slow processor may not be ideal for heavy users or those who require more power-intensive applications. However, for casual users who want a device with a unique feature set, the Galaxy Beam is definitely worth considering.

**Future Updates**

It's worth noting that Samsung has confirmed plans to update the Android version on this device to Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), which should provide improved performance and security features. While we don't know when these updates will be rolled out, it's reassuring to know that the manufacturer is committed to supporting this device for a longer period.

**Final Thoughts**

In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy Beam is a device that offers a unique combination of features and capabilities, including its built-in projector. While it may not be perfect, we are impressed by its performance and design. If you're looking for a device with a useful feature set and don't mind a conventional design, the Galaxy Beam is definitely worth considering.

200 milli ampere battery and the prominent projectors over here before we unbox the same let me give you an overview of the box it's a Samsung Galaxy Beam over here and here it says the pricing the MRP pricing in India it's quoted over here is thirty-three thousand nine hundred but you can get this phone in India for about thirty thousand or thirty thousand five hundred if you shop around and and the standard the USB to microUSB cable and nothing but the charger and also some extra your plugs so let me cut all these things to the side let's look at the phone itself it says Galaxy Beam let me just zoom in a bit and it says Galaxy Beam it says Android technology and it supports a one gigahertz dual-core processor and I believe the internal storage is in TV but we do have microSD card slot so you can expand the storage and it syncs dlp pipe extras instrument it has GPS and Wi-Fi and going towards the back we have one rear-facing camera that's a 5 megapixel with LED flash and it says we have hot swappable micro sd in a SIM card slot actually yeah we can just open this up let me talk about that a bit later on the front also we have 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera let me take out this and let us try to pop up the back cover and actually we have an indent over here and using that we can pry out the back cover it's actually pretty tight for the Samsung phone but because generally most of the sound through phones the battery cover comes out pretty easily and we're just going to insert the battery I hope it has some choose and you can see this speakerphone over here and this is the 5 megapixel camera and let me put back the cover actually we do need to remove this cover to insert the cell because we can insert the SIM from this area you can just insert the sim like this that's how you insert so let's see if we have some juice and we can power on this device and it's a GT one eight five three zero Samsung Galaxy Beam and this is the first boot of this device and it's taking quite a while to boot actually it supports a one gigahertz dual-core processor and the ROM is 768 MB and the design wise it's a little bit conventional that we have seen with older Samsung phones so it's not very new and just quickly set this up I'll just skip all these and I'll set it up later and I'll just press next next next and the screen size is a four inch screen on this one and the screen type is LCD not a Super AMOLED screen that we see on many Samsung phones so this is the boot as of now this versions ships with the Android version 2.3 that's Gingerbread but just let's see which one we get as of now it ships with Android version 2.3 point 6 at the time of making this video there is no confirmation or anything by Samsung regarding the update to ICS for this device but the hardware is pretty capable to run ICS without any issues and first let me give you an overview of the phone physical overview and we start from the top actually this top area is a little bit special here we get the projector that's over here and if we move towards this side we have a dedicated button actually this one and that's for the projector this is for the power on/off again we have the micro SD card slot over here we can open here and insert a micro SD card and I believe it's hot swappable that's a nice thing and towards the bottom if we go we have a microUSB slot and I'll be used for charging the phone and syncing up we also have the microphone pinhole over here and on this side we have the SIM tray the volume up and down and we have a 3.5 mm headphone jack it's a bit bulky the device compared to the modern Android phones but we should not forget that it is hosing what do you say a project and moving towards the back we have a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash and it says Samson and I like the fact that the back is texturized and we have this grill for the speakerphone and on the front we have four inches screen and the resolution of this screen as I believe it's 800 by 480 pixels so not the HD screen but pretty good for a 4-inch device and we have the standard the ambient light sensor proximity sensor your piece and the front-facing camera which is a 1.3 megapixel again at the bottom we have one physical home button and to touch that capacitive buttons that we have seen with a lot of Samsung phones so let me try and just open up this projector and see how it works and I press it and I can actually see the projected image I will just adjust it so that we can have a better view and I am little bit impressed because right now it's pretty bright you guys can't see then also I'm able to see that let me try to focus that and as you can see that that's the projected image I'm just going to bring the phone a little bit back and I'm going to adjust it I didn't think so it would happen I didn't expect it to be this good because it's pretty bright right now in this room and let me close the lights and see if it makes a difference oh my god yes I have to say to projected images very good the image that you are seeing right now is being projected by the Galaxy Beam and I have to say I'm really impressed with the image quality I am see but you have to darken the room because with a brightly lit room the image fades a lot and I'm projecting it as you can see this is the projector that small light bulb that you see let me focus that's the projector and it's about two and a half meters away from the wall and the projected image is about 60 to 65 inches in size I am pretty impressed I didn't think so it would be this cool so as you could see the projector works and I would say it's pretty decent it's not the best HD quality projector but it works and it's pretty nice and overall the phone is also pretty snappy in my opinion I did not see any lag or something like that I'll test the projector feature a little bit more and make a dedicated video regarding the projector capabilities of this phone so if you aren't subscribed to my channel hit the subscribe button also if you found this video useful hit the like button that's it for now this is Ranjit from tech tabasco and I hope to see you in
