Apple's Foray into Headset Technology: Expectations and Rumors Surrounding Apple Glass and Future Plans

In recent times, there have been significant developments and rumors surrounding Apple's plans to venture into headset technology, specifically augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). According to various reports and statements from tech experts, including Mark German, we can expect Apple Glass or a mixed reality headset to debut in 2022. This news lines up with what others are saying, and the first version is expected to focus on gaming, communication, and media consumption, which makes a lot of sense.

Apple has been pushing the boundaries of technology for quite some time now, and their efforts in this area have been particularly noteworthy. The company's push into AR and VR technology has been evident with the recent advancements made to iPhones, including the implementation of cameras that can sort of augment things over the top of them. This technology has been used to enhance various aspects of our lives, from gaming to communication.

The rumors surrounding Apple Glass or a mixed reality headset have been circulating for quite some time now, and it's clear that the company is serious about making a significant impact in this area. The first version of the headset is expected to be released in 2022, with the primary focus on gaming, communication, and media consumption. This makes sense, given Apple's track record of creating products that cater to a wide range of user needs.

Tim Cook has stated that Apple is really pushing the boundaries of this technology, which adds credence to the rumors surrounding the company's plans for a mixed reality headset. The fact that Apple lays out their plans years in advance also suggests that they have a clear vision for where they want to take this technology.

The announcement about Apple Glass or a mixed reality headset comes at a time when other tech companies, such as Meta (formerly Facebook), are already making significant strides in the field of VR and AR. However, it's worth noting that Apple's approach may be different from what we've seen so far. The company has been focused on creating products that blend seamlessly into our daily lives, which could result in a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.

In terms of how the headset will work, there have been various rumors surrounding its features and functionality. Some reports suggest that it may use Apple's AR technology to enhance user experiences, while others believe that it could be used for more advanced applications, such as virtual reality or mixed reality experiences.

Max Go is another area where we've seen a lot of news and rumors in recent times. Max Go has been positioned as Apple's next major product line, with the company expected to unveil new devices, including redesigns and new versions, that incorporate Apple Silicon. The latest rumors suggest that the Macbook Air will get a redesign, featuring different colors similar to those of the iMac, and an upgraded M2 processor.

The Macbook Pro lineup has also been subject to speculation and rumors, with some reports suggesting that they may be redesigned or released in new versions that incorporate Apple Silicon. The possibility of the Macbook Air being phased out altogether and replaced by a single product line, dubbed simply "Mac", is also a topic of debate among tech enthusiasts.

The Mac Pro and iMac Pro are expected to undergo significant changes as well, with some reports suggesting that they may be updated with new processors, such as dual M1 Pros or M1 Max CPUs, which could result in faster performance and increased capabilities. The Mac Pro's design is also expected to change, possibly adopting a more modern aesthetic reminiscent of the iMac Pro.

The upcoming release of iOS 15.2 is also an exciting development, with many users eagerly awaiting the latest updates and features from Apple. Once these updates become available, we can expect to see significant changes and improvements in various areas of the iPhone experience.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enHi everyone Aaron here for Zollotech and this past week was filled with a ton of news of what  to expect in 2022 everything from new macs to new iphones to new ipads as well as some things that  we should see fairly soon as well this is your news update for the week of december 5th 2021 and  the first thing is tsmc or taiwan semiconductor that apple works with regularly and helps create  the chips that are inside the recent iphones and macs has already started a pilot production  program or sort of a test production of three nanometer chipsets that's incredibly small but  will lead to added efficiency as well as smaller size and less thermal issues typically so all of  those things combined again will give more battery life and just add to the advance that apple has  over its competition at this point expect those in about 2023 though in iphones and max now apple  has apparently informed some of its suppliers that sales are slower than expected with the iphone 13  series models not just the regular iphone 13 but the pro models as well for this year while  pro models do seem to be in short supply interest seems to be lower than last year's major redesign  so maybe iphone 13 being that it's a sort of minor upgrade depending on if we're talking about the 13  or the 13 pro basically we have a bigger battery a better camera and pro motion on the pro models  everything else is fairly minor to most people with the a15 bionic and so iphone 12 series phones  were the big upgrade i think a lot of people are just waiting until iphone 14 to upgrade now back  in june at wwdc apple showed off not only ios 15 and ipad os 15 but they also showed off a new app  called swift playgrounds 4. swift playgrounds has been out for a while and it teaches you how to  code but the new version will allow you to create your app on the ipad and then export it from  the ipad directly to the app store and sort of bypass xcode altogether on the mac and the recent  versions of this apparently are being handed out to some developers to try out before its final  release or its first release and as you can see nine to five mac has sort of a first look at it  and it allows you to create directly on the ipad so you could learn how to code but also create  your app on the ipad itself and then export it to the app store according to apple so this should  come out hopefully fairly soon apple is not given an official date but this would be great for some  i know my daughter has gone through all of the different swift playground activities to learn  how to code and would love to be able to do more directly on here since she's familiar with it so  hopefully we'll see that sooner rather than later now this past week there has been a ton of news  from mark german of bloomberg about what to expect in 2022. there's been a lot of information from  him some of it is obvious some isn't but he has a pretty good track record as far as predicting what  apple will have or has a good inside knowledge of what they'll have and the first thing is airpods  pro 2. apple is expected to redesign their air pods pro maybe have a slightly different design  maybe some better noise cancellation additional features we don't know exactly what they'll be  like but we do expect a redesign since it's been a few years apple released the third generation air  pods this past year after the iphone announcement and we expect them to do the same with the pro at  this point so maybe in the early part of the year or later on we don't have an exact time frame but  expect them in 2022. so if you're waiting to pick these up or maybe you already have airpods pro i  wouldn't hesitate to pick them up now however we may see a different version of them a little  bit later now something i know a lot of people have been looking forward to is a new iphone  se and just like apple has done with this iphone sc second generation apple is expected to redesign  this in the early part of 2022 so before april or so in the first quarter and it's expected to look  very similar just like an iphone 8 and there could be a larger size although that's sort of  hit or miss depending on who you ask either way it should look like an iphone 8 or 8 plus  have a 4.7 inch display like it does now and some people are saying that it will have a home button  on the home screen just like it does now others maybe suspect it to be on the home button like we  have with the ipad air and ipad mini so either way it should have that with 5g with the new qualcomm  modem as well as an a15 cpu a 4.7 inch lcd display so hopefully we'll see a redesign and about the  same price 3.99 or so so it will be basically the entry-level iphone at a reasonable price with the  latest cpu now just like every other year apple is expected to come out with a new ipad this year  with updated specs it could be slightly thinner and just have sort of the basic ipad layout that  comes in at 329 just like all of the others so not a huge update is expected there some  are saying to expect it to be maybe a little bit thinner than it currently is but no major redesign  however with the ipad air apple is expected to update this but not really update its design  since it's already gotten a design update so with the ipad air fourth generation that i have here  we have the most recent design i would expect just a spec bump when it comes to that however there  were some rumors about it maybe having an oled display later this past year but it looks like  they're just going to keep lcd since they're pushing with mini lcd so hopefully we'll see  something like that with maybe an hdr display on it now when it comes to ipad pro this information  was a little bit curious to me so we'll have mini led like we currently do the display is great  it's one of my favorite devices right now but it's expected to get a slight redesign as well as maybe  wireless charging so maybe a wireless charging dock of some sort maybe through the back  but apple is said to be working still on air power so it could go along with that or maybe even just  wireless charging overall where you would have a base station and it would charge the  ipad wirelessly that way either way it's expected to get some big updates apple typically updates  their ipad pro line first and then pushes that out to max and things later on now when it comes  to ios 15.2 well ios 15.2 beta 4 released this past week so i would expect a release candidate  this week with a final release the following week based off what apple did last year so if we take  a look at what they did last year we had that release on the 14th i would expect it on the 13th  or 14th of this year as apple takes a vacation for the holidays in the later part of december  so maybe in a release candidate tomorrow could be as soon as today but tomorrow or wednesday  with the final release the following week based off what they've done in the past of course this  could change but that's typically what i would expect with this update then we'll see maybe ios  15.3 betas in the early part of january typically that's what apple does but again this is subject  to change as they've been changing a lot this past year just like every other year apple is working  on a new apple watch for 2022. expect a series 8 apple watch as well as an updated se model just  like they're expected to update the iphone se we do expect them to update the se model of the watch  as well since it's been a little while hopefully they'll get rid of the apple watch series 3 and  maybe just have an se a series eight maybe still keep the series seven and they're said to have a  ruggedized version as well for athletes that can stand up to maybe the harsh conditions of whether  that be rock climbing or playing football or something else or just harsh conditions in general  maybe diving and things like that so we could see a version like that it's been rumored for  quite some time that there would be a ruggedized version what it would look like maybe have a  different casing or something like that we don't really know but they are said to be working on a  more durable version now with the upcoming iphone 14 that we'll see in 2022 every year we see a new  iphone we can expect one this year and ming chi kuo is saying still to expect one without a notch  apple is said to be working on one without a notch but still integrating face id it said that they've  sort of gotten rid of touch id although i would love to see either under the display or on the  power button but they're said to be gotten rid of touch id and instead will still use face id  now they are also said to be using a hole punch display and i know some people really like them  i think they're okay as you see on a samsung s21 ultra the hole punch is at the top it's  inconspicuous and really doesn't get in the way so it's something that is there you could have that  under display fingerprint sensor but the notch does set it apart and with apple's move to putting  a notch on a macbook i'm not so sure it will go away but either way we can expect an updated cpu  maybe an updated design a little bit or just a minor update again it's hard to say until we  see it and get closer to the release where apple actually starts producing them and that's where  we get more information from the supply chain now just like i mentioned last week apple is working  on a headset apple glass or a mixed reality headset that would implement augmented reality  and virtual reality or one or the other and use the cameras to sort of augment things over the top  of them they've been pushing this on the iphones but tim cook has said that they're really sort  of pushing that technology and according to mark german we could expect apple glass or some sort  of headset to debut in 2022 this lines up with what others are saying and the first version is  said to focus on gaming communication and media consumption that makes a lot of sense and what  they plan for the future of course apple lays these out years in advance so maybe we could see  that this year it was rumored for last year but we do know they're working on something now as far as  max go there's a ton of news about those as well they're expected to get quite a few redesigns and  new versions being shown with apple silicon as apple is fully transitioning to that this year  now the first thing is macbook air macbook air is expected to get a redesign and have different  colors similar to that of the imac and we've shown this before here as well and feature an  upgraded m2 processor it would no longer have a wedge-shaped design and in turn would adopt the  new design of this macbook 14-inch the macbook pros maybe be a little bit thinner and some are  saying that we could see the macbook air sort of go away altogether and just have macbook instead  but that's hard to say because apple really likes the macbook air name and those seem to sell really  well so one rumor says they might get rid of it some say they might not but either way expect  a macbook air redesign and if they don't just call that the macbook we could see macbook pros  as well apple offers the 13-inch currently with the old design we could see them get rid of the  touch bar and be similar to this design with the 14 inch macbook pro maybe be a little bit thinner  have less ports and just offer an m2 as well mac mini is also expected to get a redesign since that  hasn't been updated as well with its design we've heard a little bit about that where it could have  some new ports maybe magsafe as well and just have maybe more pro options with the m1 pro and m1 max  and then of course imac pro and mac pro are the last two remaining macs to be shown that haven't  moved over to apple silicon yet so we can expect those i've talked about that the imac pro is said  to look similar between the pro display xdr and the current imac and then the mac pro also needs  to be updated whether or not that's going to be a full-size tower or something different is hard to  say some people have said it will be more like the g4 cube but we're waiting for that the big  news about the pro lineup though is that they're going to feature maybe dual m1 pros or m1 max cpus  and 20 or 40 compute cores so a ton of cores extra as well as up to 128 gigs of ram so we could see  that or maybe even more so some huge configuration changes that make it even faster than the current  m1 macbook pros or m1 max macbook pros let me know what you're looking most forward to in the  comments below and of course once ios 15.2 updates come out this week i'll be sure to let you know  if you'd like to get your hands on this wallpaper i'll link it in the description  like i normally do and if you haven't subscribed already please subscribe and if you enjoyed the  video please give it a like as always thanks for watching this is Aaron i'll see you next time\n"
