The Top 10 Coolest Cars Seen in 2017
As we took to the drag strip and pitted some of the world's most unique and high-performance vehicles against each other, it was clear that this year was one for the books. From a Porsche 918 Spyder to a tiny Honda S600, each car on our list was a marvel in its own right.
First up at number seven is the Ford GT40. This 1960s-era supercar may not have been built for the drag strip, but it still managed to put down a respectable 156 miles per hour and a half-mile time. Its 427 cubic inch engine may be old school, but its performance more than held up.
Coming in at number six is a top fuel dragster from Streetcar Takeover Denver. The team behind this behemoth of a car told us that they wanted to bring "something stupid fast" to the track and were willing to do whatever it took to make it happen. With over 2,000 horsepower on tap, this car was a force to be reckoned with.
At number five is the fastest CTS-V video of the year, shot in Texas UK Houston. This video featured not only the world's fastest CTS-V at the time, but also an equally impressive "unicorn" car that had been tweaked to produce over 2,000 horsepower as well. The combination of American ingenuity and foreign flair made for a truly unforgettable viewing experience.
Fourth on our list is the Boosted Mini Cooper from Albuquerque, New Mexico. This tiny car may have only weighed around 1,000 pounds, but its rear-mounted boost engine was packing a whopping 13cc of turbocharged goodness. The result was a car that was equal parts adorable and utterly insane to drive.
Next up at number three is the Tiny Hondo, hailing from Australia. This 1965 Honda S600 had been modified with an incredible 88mm turbocharger that turned its 2JZ engine into a beast of over 1,200 horsepower. Despite its tiny size, this car still managed to put down a respectable 7.17 seconds in the quarter mile.
Coming in at number two is a radical racing Volkswagen Bus from Oak in Texas. This 1963 VW bus may have looked like just another vehicle on the pit lane, but it turned out to be hiding some serious secrets underneath its hood. A 468 big block engine paired with a 150 shot of nitrous oxide made for a truly unstoppable combination.
And at number one, we have the coolest car of all - Bradley Gray's Blown Mafia Camaro. This man was obsessed with boost and had spent years modifying his vehicles to take full advantage of its power. With twin turbos, nitrous, and even an f2 blower on hand, this car was a force to be reckoned with. Its performance was truly awe-inspiring.
Throughout the year, we saw a lot of amazing cars come through our doors, but these ten stood out as particularly noteworthy. From the smallest engines to the biggest supercars, each one brought its own unique brand of awesomeness to the table. Whether you're a fan of American muscle or foreign flair, there's something on this list for everyone.

coming up at number nine we have the junkyard Bugatti we caught this car at streetcar takeover Houston's last year the second gen Camaro it's got a six litre truck motor for LA te and 4ko 3 turbos on it makes about 600 horsepower and this guy was the king of sloppy mechanics that day at number eight we have three million-dollar drag race I went down to San Antonio we met up with Leo from performance HQ and Leo happens to have a Ferrari laferrari and a Porsche 918 Spyder and guess what he wanted to race him so he put his son in one car him in the other car and they went down the drag strip just to see one of these cars on the street is crazy and to see both of them together on the strip racing it's just insane coming in at number seven we have the gt40 not a Ford GT the gt40 like from the 60s we caught this thing a no-fly zone in Illinois it's a superformance gt40 car and a 427 of the moon block 450 horsepower but it went stupid fast for what it was 450 horsepower and went 156 miles an hour and a half mile and it's at number six we have the top fuel dragster from streetcar takeover Denver last year the guys with the dragster call it the guys from streetcar takeover and said we have something stupid FAST that we wanted to come test the track they said absolutely bring anything you want well it happened be a top fuel dragster full top feel set up they refresh the motor between rounds it was absolutely insane and this thing was stupid loud at number five we have the fastest cts-v video it's from TX UK Houston this year and included the world's fastest cts-v at the time with a mortar cubic inch LSX 106 millimeter turbo and made over 2,000 horsepower the other car in the video was the unicorn it also has a foreigner cubic inches in LSX twin 88 turbos and also made over 2000 this video included a whole lot of America a whole lot of days coming in at number four we have the boost of powered Mini Cooper this thing was frickin crazy we caught this thing in Albuquerque New Mexico this year it's a 1983 Mini Cooper as a rear-mounted boost of 13 or CC engine making about 240 horsepower and the car only weighed a thousand pounds I went for a ride in it and it looked crazy you got the motor right behind you that's awesome next up at number three we have the tiny Hondo with a huge turbo pile caught this thing in Australia it's a 1965 Honda s600 it's got a 2jz and a massive 88 military bow this thing look like a 180 melter bow on this car the car makes about 1,200 horsepower it only weighs about 12 2,500 pounds 79 inch wheelbase so it's super small it went seven 1768 and it was just absolutely insane coming in at number 2 we have the VW bus we were walking around the pits around million-dollar setups everywhere and this random 1963 Volkswagen bus rolls through the pits it's a radial race the car doesn't belong there and we had to check it out he opens the side doors and the thing happened to have a 468 big block out of a boat it made about 600 one the absolute Kulish we saw all year long was Bradley gray with blown mafia this guy is definitely addicted to boost he loves boost he loves forced-induction all that good stuff he had a Camaro that had twin turbos blower nitrous he had a pickup that had twin blowers on it he had another pickup that had an f2 beating at 871 blower this guy was just crazy about boost and we absolutely loved it some of the into stick three feet out of the hood but it's freaking awesome these cars were just the craziest things we saw oh you're definitely the coolest that you will see all day it's now but it's quiet that is unreal this ever feel normal too and you're staring at the boost page it's really simple in here to religion how many gauges shifter you don't need a radio you don't have much for
