be bringing you all the highlights in this video as well as a tour of this world class drag racing facility it's also attached to I70 Speedway here they've got massive pits over here drag SHP over here we're going to be showing you all of it in this video as well as the highlights from the weekend street car takeover here we go one thing I just found out about this drag specifically the grand stands these were actually recycled you remember the Atlanta Dragway that closed down about 3 years ago we made a video on it they were actually there disassembling these Grand stands when we were there to bring here to Missouri to open this track these are some really nice Grand stands they're very expensive so it's really cool to see these being used at a world class facility once again the main show here Saturday night is the small Tire class behind me $5,000 to win we've got some really fast cars here here lad to Mid 4 second passes we're going to be seeing that here momentarily check out some of the cars and then hit the track Andel tell I see a Steve Morris engine in there you mean business small block Chevy 3/4 race cam double hump heads anytime you see a stamp on the engine you know you know it can go fast what's the quickest the car has been so far 410 at 190 really dang what do you think he'll run here it's a lot better surface I don't know we're as fast as we need to you know I'd love to run a three but we got to race the surface yeah but car's pretty dialed in right now got to be all right who'd you draw first round um Rodney Dow oh okay Fox budy next to you so he's got Lane Choice it's a good guy too cool both cars make the trip we appreciate everybody putting the definitely this a good turnout for small Tire abely good luck man I was peeking in the little hole here I was like oh this car is this car is serious we're going to see this thing fly if it hooks up can't wait for this all right coming at you right now we have first round of eliminations for small Tire not going to lie and I'm a little partial but this Spar except is probably my favorite car in this class as an FC owner I just really appreciate the aesthetic of this thing and the fact that it's got a badass s TI V8 under the hood of this thing very excited to see this thing make a fast right seven and R Lane doing a heck of a job hold that thing together put your hands together close call on that the Mustang was out on the RX7 when he lost traction the RX7 just shot right by that was a close call that was entertaining yeah it was that's first time I've ever done that really yeah did it do any damage not that I'm aware of more bugs than anything they're soft when you touch it but not when you hit him yeah Wild Ride luckily not too not luckily not too sideways no it did it s sh a little bit I was just telling myself I was like uh let it get clean before you hit the brake like it's moving let it get clean and then as soon as I was going straight again I thought okay now fly the brake you know and and uh but yeah that's the first time it's ever saw shade like that for me so yeah that was a good run you had him at half track I did I did we were talking about it I know Craven we raced before and he's F you know what I mean so we put a little tune up in it and uh so but I had him on the 6 or the the tree I was out on him at the half and here he come I could hear him coming yeah you know and just I was just like hard out run those 98s it is man that was nuts at the Finish Line holy crap I think that was probably about a half car that was that was Wild by the way shout out to Flying H for the lights here we love good lighting at track this is the best lighting I think I've ever seen in a drag strip it's like you're in a football stadium here it is great for video I hope you guys agree oh wow that's crazy like 34 of a car I could hear them but like right there but couldn't see anything yeah I figured you could see it but I was hovering over the scramble boost and because if I saw him I was going to hit the button but you know I never did see him and I wanted to get like data of just a clean pass without me altering anything too so I was trying to hold on without hitting the button and luckily eded them out so that was a great race yeah definitely nice work thank you we'll see who you draw next round yep going into third round for our small tier class we have Justin Heckman going against the RX7 then we got the white nitrous Camaro going up against the fox body 4 I Fox body and then Brandon Carter is going up against James short in the Camaro Brandon Carter winning by about 3/4 of a car just about as close as that last race we saw it was super close down here this small Tire class is super entertaining tonight turns on the wind that was the closest race of the night right there 2.2 ft is what cliff in the announcers booth just said is the margin of Victory between those two cars the ARX 7 winning by 2.2t that's literally this far all right up here in the staging Lanes they just drew and Justin Heckman getting the buy that means the Camaro and Brandon Carter racing each other in the semifinal and then one of them is going to race Justin to see who's taking home the money wow yeah all right well easy win for the left lane there as there's like a nitrous backfire coming out of here on the right lane it's going to be two Mustangs in the final a small Tire who would have thought at least one of them's not a fox body $5,000 on the line small Tire final here at street car takeover see a lot of these guys race tomorrow as well Brandon Carter Hickman I believe this Perfect final down Justin Heckman $5,000 going home to Justin Heckman we'll probably be seeing him race tomorrow when we do all the classes eliminations tomorrow we also have Roll Racing there's a burnout party there's a concert street car takeovers even bigger tomorrow we'll see you guys then Joey did you put a little more power in it for that final well we we did add add a little bit to that last one just to uh seal the deal maybe $5,000 yeah that was a good one 3500 tomorrow so nice you guys racing tomorrow too no are you tomorrow is going to be a little more challenging though it's going to be in the daytime so the track got really good after the sun went down oh yeah I'd say uh the track prpp was very good we we usually have to travel to Texas to get similar results but it's kind of nice not having to travel too far to get the same kind of track prep it was really awesome nice work this place is cool thank you guys for coming out yeah drag strip the lights just shut off at the track here just all of the sudden I was on the scooter and then all of a sudden I couldn't see anything this is a perfect time to see the Northern Lights apparently supposed to be crazy tonight they're U right over here but I can't see them right now maybe that's why you shut the lights off all right so I just took a picture of my phone and you can see the Northern Lights that's pretty cool been sweet good morning from flying H drag we're here for day two of street car takeover and today we got Roll Racing kicking things off we got a burnout contest after that and then drag race eliminations for all the other classes here at street car takeover Casey actually lost their drag strip about 12 years ago kcir track that I went to a lot when I started my channel come down here for some street racing for the tractor the day and it closed 12 years ago but now this track is open and the local community is supporting it in a big way and what perfect timing because Topeka just closed this year as well so make sure you stop by here go check out sport track get some we're going to show you more of the facility here show you why this is a world class drag racing facility as you may or may not know every drag strip has a tower whether it's a little Shack or a big tower or a massive structure behind it like bandam used to have or Houston used to have we've got a balcony up on top VIP suits on the third floor then we have the timing system and announcer on the second floor and I'm not sure what's on the first yet but it's still under construction not much in here let's go check it out oh yeah hi Cliff how are you sir how's it going pretty good I like the new digs is the music better the air conditioner is working better than yesterday it is man always that's why that's why I chose to do what I do here's the voice of street car take I'm overweight and I like air conditioning and I like controlled environments and I can talk so this is this is how I got my job being the street car takeover announcer You' probably heard Cliff at import Face Off too y import Face Off fl2k ice Cru Cru yeah this isn't too far from home for you either what do you think of the new track I love it 4 and a half hours away I've already tried to put in my my uh resume like I can kind of talk a little bit of smack maybe if you guys have an event you need an announcer come up here and uh work with these guys and GS great crew great facility they're I mean they're spending money hand over fits they're Paving all the pits this weekend there's some of the upper levels of the pits that are still gravel but like in 2 weeks those are all supposed to be paved they got glass in the tower now like it's it's a it's going to be an amazing topnotch facility when it's done it's already and the surface is amazing the surface is flat as a pool table it it's sticky it's working great yeah the weather this weekend has been absolutely amazing so yeah we're uh I I can't think of anything that I would even remotely complain about this track is topnotch and now for the best view on the property up here on the balcony welcome welcome to the top of the track pretty freaking sweet and figure out where you f in so we've got some massive Grand stands I mentioned those are from Atlanta Dragway and then over on the right they're going to put even more Grand stands and further on down from out they're going to do a 40ft wide projection screen and at the bigger events we're going to have a live feed and an announcer going around talking to people so people in the stands can see what's going on in the pits and watch racing right in front of them pretty badass the KC kickoff party that we're here at started as KC 2K years ago with a pretty big car show in 2012 and then it grew to the size of about 2,000 cars over the years unfortunately there's not enough asphalt on the property to have a massive car show this year but next year the track will have a bunch and we can have them big car show again to keep that tradition our i' been cruising through the pits check out some of the cars that are out here this one's not racing but check out this unicorn tribute car this thing is wild looking what what is going on here I love this it's a 2008 Chevy pickup truck wait wait you said it's a Chevy pickup truck yes sir that's not a Chevy pickup truck yes sir how is it a Chevy pickup truck it's a crazy deal I don't know how like I'm trying to make a four-wheel drive unicorn tribute car okay as cheap as possible and I normally just soup up you know Chevy pickup trucks like the crazy redneck and uh this is this is what I came up with in 90 days in my backyard so the chassis is a Chevy pickup truck yeah come look at the back what but the the frame is from a Chevy pickup truck the whole frame is just chopped and shortened anded and it's factory leaf springs Factory body mounts they're just relocated work with the car a truck Mustang oh my God look at look at the floorboard the floorboard is like no way so you had to shorten this right yeah I cut like 3 and 1/2 ft out of the frame oh my gosh put it together I cut everything else off that we didn't need and I just tried to make it a functioning driving thing um I don't have a lot of money so I had to go back to work and make some more money to put a sequential in it but we're about to do that here in the next couple weeks oh abouty what trans is in it right now uh right now it's a 4 l80 and a transfer case out of like a 2500 HD with a big converter and stuff so you're babing it right now yeah I mean like it it would rip if we wanted it to but it's not it's not 100% like how I want it so I'm not trying to go tear it up yet yeah what's the power plant under the hood uh it's a Thompson Motorsports 408 stroker LS and a F1 proar charger kit hell yeah local boy Kansas City redneck unicorn you know uhhuh no way I don't I can't afford a NASCAR engine so this is best thing I like how you have the itbs just on there for show a lot of it's a lot of it is just you know for show but it's definitely for function too this thing is built to Boogie this isn't a fake tricky car like this thing is meant to rip it's got the wheels on there and everything the side Pipe exhaust these are actually the Huna truck wheels and they it makes sense cuz it's a truck right yes they won't sell you the wheels for the car but they will theck and they're six lug they're the Huna truck wheel yeah got a Terminator in there tuned or nothing it's running on the basement just hand yeah ien I haven't got all that hooked up yet but she's a run and driving deal the glove box opens they're little things like that we got to fix oh yeah it gives it character but it's a hot rod I built it to come do some craziness you know yeah thanks again man thank you sir appreciate the ride appreciate the props never know what you're going to run into here at street car takeover it's time for eliminations for roll race here at street car takeover we got about 60 70 cars in the lanes I'm standing by the king of the breaker cars the fastest qualified cars on the property they're be going first pair out and Justin has qualified first at his own event yeah at least you don't have Chase to cheat and be yeah I start at the I start at the flag are you loving this new car it's awesome man been been running really good went 184 and qualifying and went at 820 at 184 last nine drag RAC nuts super consistent yeah yeah super happy with it 36 speed man those guys built me exactly what I wanted who you racing first pair uh I'm going to be running the pink GTR oh okay cool which is funny cuz that's Tyler who bought my obs trucks my first two oh no way you can't beat a customer right yeah I know you can yeah you can yeah probably going to happen here number one qualifier and you drag racing later too yeah man I'm doing it all sweet yeah sweet yeah I can't wait ke left side of the track taking on this not just not much of a race for the first pair out 183 from Justin very consistent 184 in qualifying let's see who else we got from King of the bakery next up Aaron from enth Moto up against CTR come around the B she GTR vers Viper GTR sne you wow GTR first with that Viper said wait hold on viper at 183 he's going to get Justin a run for his money here I think hopefully they meet in the final what's up Jeremy not too much how are you doing Kyle good how do you like the new track this is one this is the best track I've ever been on sweet it is really nicely set up did you get a mile an hour on your first P pass no I let out early because I didn't know where the end was oh yeah yeah yeah the shutdown's nice and long oh yeah I'm I'm giving a full Sim this time what are you hoping for M hour wise 165 to 170 I'll be real happy with that perfect they're making me put the top up this time did you do top down earlier top down at Kansas airstrip attack last year it was weird it created a vacuum over the car so stuff got sucked out not good not good we'll see you soon Jeremy coming from Omaha along with Justin Preston Z1 Jeremy's got a, 1400 horsepower turbo he's also got a hard toop building that's going to be 2,000 plus horsepower that'll be done Jeremy Freeman pulling up against this mustang here first pair out he's at the top of his class and the second class here in the roll race so should do really well as long as he doesn't break out not sure what the mile hour is here I think 160 something for the the breakout down to get 1461 mph Mustang goes faster Becca's up here in the baby R8 salmon colored Audi TT she won our Invitational roll here let see how she doesn't get all right FCO versus Mustang hoping he can push her out the back she goes one all right here we go first pair second round we got stain killer going up against the GTR they're both 180 mph in the roll Race So this should be good left lane GTR turn 189 another win for a staying killer is he going to win his own race again we're going to find out say see you later to that R Jeremy fredman taking home the win again I heard him off on and off the throttle hopefully doesn't catch up to him little little bit of sandbag in there what's up John well hopefully we keep this belt on we can do something oh blower problems yeah you see how it's turbo but just just got everything going but you see all the rubber it's just like it's just spinning in there what is it the rubber my belt it just spinning my belt out oh so hopefully it'll stay on this time does this thing turbo yeah I forget okay what's the combo in this thing UH 60 it's got a 88 104 big old turbo Big Turbo down 1087 and a man brother who are you racing the Mustang uh one of these yeah I one of these cars hell yeah hopefully I win John racing a very uh nonstandard vehicle here in the race running the blazer with the turbo LS nice get to race this busting see how it goes come on Blazer come on bler yes sir he does it again he had to pull him on the top end but John does it again probably throwing a belt at the top of the track again 128 mph 2 mph slower than the left lane but you have to get to the Finish Line first to win the race here we go King of the bakery final is it going to be stain killer or enth Moto Aaron and the Viper that's not the kind of RAC we want to see but just is going to get their first ah the Viper having issues half track that was a race for a second I really wanted to see that maybe they'll run it again at the end of our roll races stain killer wins street car over King of the bakery here in Kansas City the inaugural race at the brand new drag strip pretty badass all right in our next class we have a challenger on a buy run and then we have Becca going against Jeremy in the semifinal who's going to race the Challenger in the final Lan you know you can't lose to a girl right uh it's very possible awesome I respect the hell out of it no pressure no pressure they're bone sand baging so this will be very interesting to see how it goes Lamborghini going get first toward the end there what was the breakout in your class 160 I think she went 150 and broke out or no she went 160 she went 16097 oh so she just barely broke out with 160 yeah I was ahead of her either way out this little bit of cars I don't know it it was so she had to play catchup she was playing catch up that makes it tough to be perfectly honest I pedal it because I was far enough ahead of her I didn't want to push it all right so you and the challeng are in the final yes sir hell yeah good luck Jeremy thank you very much s Blazer John yeah that looks like nice dude Gap by the Blazer that has to feel weird watching an SUV pull past you especially an old one I love that thing another interesting thing about flying H drag strip is the surface here most tracks are concrete at the beginning and the top in to save some money but this concrete is one single pour from this expansion joint all the way down to 700 ft there's only a few other tracks in the world like that uh Enis was the first one ever and it's an entire quarter mile of concrete one single pour uh us60 in Kentucky that we were just at for a no prep they are single port as well and the way that works is they have this real thick expansion joint here that in the winter when the concrete shrinks that pulls apart and then in the summer when it expands it pushes that expansion joint together but it makes track prep way easier when you're scraping the track dragging the track there's no bumps and cracks and a very smooth ride for the racers we got jery oh no and the Char sorry get their first and upset the Mopar taking down the lambo in the final that was a close ass race nice job boys our next final we get the ZL1 going up against the ZR1 oh my God talk about a freaking nail biter dude Justin taking on the win in the right lane he was really really close to the break out there back of i' I don't know it's a new setup photographer down there pictures that the uh I have like first time on the new setup so what have you been trapping uh 1 what's breakout this class 131 or 132 so burnouts have become propelled by Cletus McFarland it's just a great party here and the crowd loves it let's head on back to the drag ship for the end of street car takeover we got all of our eliminations in our drag racing classes what happened of course I want to see we saw a lot of white smoke out of Jam's car last night I haven't touched anything but you can see I'm missing some paint here oh my gosh that's for motor pieces look at this one right here that's part of the block oh and there's the hole oh my God wait wait wait wait wait wait that's part of the block right there the you broke it right this hole was here but all this was like freshly pain so earlier we saw the Ken Block tribute car I've got another interesting vehicle in the car show I want to show you guys check this thing out I have no idea I think this might be a Blazer or something look at this it's like straight out of Mad Max T turbo blowr setup this yours wait till you see the Mercury we're doing oh rainstorms up in here bud you got to make sure you can that's great oh hell yeah is that niter air right air okay you're just so we're all the way out that's sweet little Chevy small block yep blow through twin turbo yeah two little turbos off eBay you know just kind of slapped them on there and kind of played with a little bit and made it work the passengers sit way the hell back here they got chokers back there too you know they stay in this thing is sick Kansas City is a massive car show Community the street car takeover car show has been over 2,000 cars in the past you never know what you're going to find this is one of the wildest Things I've seen in one of the car shows here cas sandbagging son of a whatever it just like that much oh so close no need to sand back now you got to crank this up for this class I do I do what she going to run I don't know I'm hoping what's your what's your quickest quarter so far today at this event 88 what and before this 87 87 okay you're not too far off no good luck Becca Becca going out earlier against Jeremy our friend from Omaha just by like a few T of a mile hour in the roll race 87 is her best so far in the car 88 this weekend maybe been racing this thing for like 10 12 years see how he does Super 908 you're not going to get much better than that in the 90 class you can't go any quicker than I know break 7 hurt the baby we've seen this charger at tx2k before he's been as quick as like a 740 I believe he's got the overdrive Transmission in here now a little bit slower maybe we'll see him like below eight maybe High seven there's three Mopars in the class in the eights 789 179 mph the the only 7sec pass in the heavyweight class that car is super impressive it'll be interesting to see who he races the second round in the 10no class I got a car that's caught my attention this old Dodge pickup truck a sneaky little turbo here over here on the side got some good character here as well cut out exhaust on the side they even trim it he got the metal out here got some old war memor on the back and the wood bed with some room for the fuel system getting back to our tour of flying H drag strip about the only thing left I can think to talk about is the staff we've been here for a day and a half and I extremely impressed one of the biggest factors on whether a drag strip succeeds or not is the people behind it I've talked to about 15 to 20 people across the facility from Tech to the burnout box The Starting Line the ET Shack the front gate that is extremely important role you got to be happy and it was all smiles we rolled in here yesterday and no one has made me feel unwelcome it's all smiles and that's going to be very key for making this track succeed for the next 20 30 40 50 years and I hope it does because this track is badass the facility is amazing the staff is amazing and I hope you guys come check it out let's get back to racing we started this video off with a small Tire notime eth Mile shootout and we're back with another one here on Saturday night this is going to be badass we got a lot of the fast cars from last night and a few more including this gbody over here with massive turbos under the hood got some cars ranging anywhere from High 3 second e mile passes to somewhere in the five a little bit of variety we're going to test pass right now we're do first round shortly after that here we go we've got a new car in the field I saw you were having some issues last night yeah smoked the head gasket so yeah but we got to put back together yeah yeah we pulled a head gas pulled the heads off put some gaskets on and got it back together we'll give it a world again today what's the quickest pass been on the car uh 4 417 189 mph that's sweet and a gbody yeah I love it hopefully we get a little more we start trimming on it I didn't really in that first 60 area we'll get her going though so what engine does it have 540 big block good mixture of 41 X's Big Blocks few small blocks mixed in here and there yeah there's there's a full field of anyone can get it done for sure good variety there is very much so cool well good luck okay appreciate it man thanks buddy there I've been buzzing around on my scooter all day and running past the grand stands and I just got to say Kansas City came out here in a big way to support this new track Kansas City hasn't had a drag chip for 13 years to PE was the closest thing in and it's clear that they needed this so I'm really excited that flying open big shout out to all the fans that came out here to support street car takeover and support the track shout out to you guys this is amazing it's been a great weekend some great racing and I hope you guys enjoying this video Yeah Boy we got an 8sec charger going up against 8C charger here oh 7c charger here in semifinal for heavyweight this the thing it did 797 oo 797 in the left lane throwing the parachute early that was sick that car is fast over 4,000 lb for a seventh all right the Dodge pickup truck is back up here for his second pass in the 10 class can he take down this Jeep it's pretty serious looking Jeep I'm not going to lie he's got his cut out we're about to see he'll go on to round three right here right now well played play by the Dodge truck right lane breaking out by 4 hundreds of a second that is rough cuz that was almost a perfect time slip for him the Dodge truck's going to move on to the next round back down here on the top end of the track by the time slip Booth literally right next to the quarter mile I was talking to a friend that runs a jet rster MC McCormick and Miss L how much he loves the shut down at the end because they didn't run fast enough in the eight to need to use their parachute so he just Co up the hill and then without even stopping didn't have to wait for his crew to come back down the return road is downhill coming back he was able to Coast down the hill back into his pit spot over here without waiting for his pit crew he literally just did it himself in his jet car that's pretty sweet all right we're finishing up trip ra for first round here in small Tire be pulling up here in just a second 11 cars in small Tire it's going to get good going down right now right first pair out we got James short in the Camaro and Craven in the RX7 this is going to be a really good race damn James short going up on a wheelie coming down and the car died AR s made a really good look right there our buddy in the full size Chevy pickup getting a tough draw first round he's racing the nitrous Camaro then we got two white fox bodies going up last pair out here in small Tire nobody getting traction out here oh my gosh the nitrous car spinning off the line square body going in second round he got lucky on that one can he do it again in the next pair talk about lucky I know I know holy trying to find some noise oh okay you you get lucky again I'm going to try I was like yeah oh oh yeah yeah me against against Giants exactly up Bill battle having fun oh yeah yeah for sure I love this truck I wish there was a class that would fit better like a tailgate class but he's out here racing with these monster small Tire cars it's just so beautiful runs it out this is the last car right here for small tire and he just had a whole bunch of attempts to get this thing started and to no avail so they are pushing this thing up here as we speak to get him to go into the beams I'm not sure what the rules are or if he has to break the beams under his own power or if they can push him but I'm no expert but that doesn't sound like it's in good shape yeah that thing's uh going to need some attention once they get it back to the Here Comes our street racer heads up unlimited class no ET cap on this this is the final going down right now two Mustangs new verse old who's going to take it home4 740 out of the fox body she was flying taking home win here so we got the good old Battle of gas versus electricity I'm still impressed that this is here because when you're going up against cars like that you would think cars like that would be this silent killer going back home 908 on the tried to tame it down a little bit and keep it uh consistent and it's worked out for us today badass have you raced Scotty before with this thing no this will be a first dude so what's funny is this morning we were supposed to race each other and then everything got mixed up so now we're doing it in the finals that's hilarious so that'll be cool dude it's going to be fun we just turn it up around at the back and see what happens you should ask me you can get rid of the uh if if you're get rid of the break 50/50 we'll just split it 50/50 and then we'll just since you're both sandbagging right here that was a race y looked at the looked at my camera EXA a car length and most of that was due to the perfect reaction triple o reaction on the starting line it's hard to beat that if you got evenly match cars all right here comes the Malibu and the RX7 I want to see the RX7 go around here another nitrous backfire we saw one last night too that one halfway down the track that was pretty cool to watch but not good for racing I want to see a close race on that one RX7 making another clean hit oh no no okay can the full size pickup get lucky again and make it into the semifinals we're going to find out oh no oh oh There are pieces of that car flying all over the track the Mustang having some major problems half track I thought maybe the truck could blow past him but he had enough momentum to keep ahead of the truck and there was something that blew apart maybe a carbon fiber drive shaft and went flying in front of the pickup truck I'm not sure what it was hopefully it didn't hit the truck Street racer Mile 10 class the fox white going up against the Dodge two friends Red Hat Scotty in the engine builder for his other car racing here at the final Trier take over this is the final no way 106 for Scotty he had that thing dialed and it paid off for him hell yes congratulations Red Hat Scotty what no way dude got him no way dude I thought you got this thing dialed in dude I thought for sure I broke down I know 10 six oh my God I insane dude I grabbed third and I was like we're too fast we're too fast right at the strip amazing nice work Scotty that's sweet by the way about 8 years ago Scotty hit me up he's like you got to make a red hat for me if you guys ever got a red hat we sold for about 2 or three years it's because of this man right here does that mean we can bring him back now you know like we might have to I actually won a race in like dude it's been like 10 years that's amazing congrats dude hell yeah if you guys watched race we Dragon week any dragon drives you've probably seen Red Hat Scott he's such a nice guy every time you run into him he's helping people out thrashing on his car but he's always it congrats to Red Hat Scott he said I think he said first RAC won in like 10 years amazing I'm really excited for this race we got the final for the small Tire shootout the RX7 who was flying last night flying again tonight against the sn95 who took down Justin Heckman the winner from last night these cars are close to 3 second passes if not in the threes already it's a notime race we don't really know both super fast here we go right let go and that's what we live for that was a close ass race I swear the right lane was ahead was that a red light 03 margin of Victory and one foot so about a one foot of the stripe no wonder my eye couldn't calibrate to that let me look at the Finish Line real quick see how close that was all right after reviewing the Finish Line shot my eye could not see who won there because I was just like a couple feet off of the angle it was not right dead center on the Finish Line they said a foot margin of Victory from the tower but I think it was just a few inches that was absolutely insane congrats to Craven Moore for winning that race what a badass final we had in the small tire race that's going to do it for this video we had such a blast here at flying age drag strip I hope you guys minutes outside of Kansas City we're here for street car takeover Kansas City we're going to be bringing you all the highlights in this video as well as a tour of this world class drag racing facility it's also attached to I70 Speedway here they've got massive pits over here drag SHP over here we're going to be showing you all of it in this video as well as the highlights from the weekend street car takeover here we go one thing I just found out about this drag specifically the grand stands these were actually recycled you remember the Atlanta Dragway that closed down about 3 years ago we made a video on it they were actually there disassembling these Grand stands when we were there to bring here to Missouri to open this track these are some really nice Grand stands they're very expensive so it's really cool to see these being used at a world class facility once again the main show here Saturday night is the small Tire class behind me $5,000 to win we've got some really fast cars here here lad to Mid 4 second passes we're going to be seeing that here momentarily check out some of the cars and then hit the track Andel tell I see a Steve Morris engine in there you mean business small block Chevy 3/4 race cam double hump heads anytime you see a stamp on the engine you know you know it can go fast what's the quickest the car has been so far 410 at 190 really dang what do you think he'll run here it's a lot better surface I don't know we're as fast as we need to you know I'd love to run a three but we got to race the surface yeah but car's pretty dialed in right now got to be all right who'd you draw first round um Rodney Dow oh okay Fox budy next to you so he's got Lane Choice it's a good guy too cool both cars make the trip we appreciate everybody putting the definitely this a good turnout for small Tire abely good luck man I was peeking in the little hole here I was like oh this car is this car is serious we're going to see this thing fly if it hooks up can't wait for this all right coming at you right now we have first round of eliminations for small Tire not going to lie and I'm a little partial but this Spar except is probably my favorite car in this class as an FC owner I just really appreciate the aesthetic of this thing and the fact that it's got a badass s TI V8 under the hood of this thing very excited to see this thing make a fast right seven and R Lane doing a heck of a job hold that thing together put your hands together close call on that the Mustang was out on the RX7 when he lost traction the RX7 just shot right by that was a close call that was entertaining yeah it was that's first time I've ever done that really yeah did it do any damage not that I'm aware of more bugs than anything they're soft when you touch it but not when you hit him yeah Wild Ride luckily not too not luckily not too sideways no it did it s sh a little bit I was just telling myself I was like uh let it get clean before you hit the brake like it's moving let it get clean and then as soon as I was going straight again I thought okay now fly the brake you know and and uh but yeah that's the first time it's ever saw shade like that for me so yeah that was a good run you had him at half track I did I did we were talking about it I know Craven we raced before and he's F you know what I mean so we put a little tune up in it and uh so but I had him on the 6 or the the tree I was out on him at the half and here he come I could hear him coming yeah you know and just I was just like hard out run those 98s it is man that was nuts at the Finish Line holy crap I think that was probably about a half car that was that was Wild by the way shout out to Flying H for the lights here we love good lighting at track this is the best lighting I think I've ever seen in a drag strip it's like you're in a football stadium here it is great for video I hope you guys agree oh wow that's crazy like 34 of a car I could hear them but like right there but couldn't see anything yeah I figured you could see it but I was hovering over the scramble boost and because if I saw him I was going to hit the button but you know I never did see him and I wanted to get like data of just a clean pass without me altering anything too so I was trying to hold on without hitting the button and luckily eded them out so that was a great race yeah definitely nice work thank you we'll see who you draw next round yep going into third round for our small tier class we have Justin Heckman going against the RX7 then we got the white nitrous Camaro going up against the fox body 4 I Fox body and then Brandon Carter is going up against James short in the Camaro Brandon Carter winning by about 3/4 of a car just about as close as that last race we saw it was super close down here this small Tire class is super entertaining tonight turns on the wind that was the closest race of the night right there 2.2 ft is what cliff in the announcers booth just said is the margin of Victory between those two cars the ARX 7 winning by 2.2t that's literally this far all right up here in the staging Lanes they just drew and Justin Heckman getting the buy that means the Camaro and Brandon Carter racing each other in the semifinal and then one of them is going to race Justin to see who's taking home the money wow yeah all right well easy win for the left lane there as there's like a nitrous backfire coming out of here on the right lane it's going to be two Mustangs in the final a small Tire who would have thought at least one of them's not a fox body $5,000 on the line small Tire final here at street car takeover see a lot of these guys race tomorrow as well Brandon Carter Hickman I believe this Perfect final down Justin Heckman $5,000 going home to Justin Heckman skid pad we've got a concert it's a big party here at street car takeover flying H drag strip the lights just shut off at the track here just all of the sudden I was on the scooter and then all of a sudden I couldn't see anything this is a perfect time to see the Northern Lights apparently supposed to be crazy tonight they're U right over here but I can't see them right now maybe that's why you shut the lights off all right so I just took a picture of my phone and you can see the Northern Lights that's pretty cool been sweet good morning from flying H drag we're here for day two of street car takeover and today we got Roll Racing kicking things off we got a burnout contest after that and then drag race eliminations for all the other classes here at street car takeover Casey actually lost their drag strip about 12 years ago kcir track that I went to a lot when I started my channel come down here for some street racing for the tractor the day and it closed 12 years ago but now this track is open and the local community is supporting it in a big way and what perfect timing because Topeka just closed this year as well so make sure you stop by here go check out sport track get some we're going to show you more of the facility here show you why this is a world class drag racing facility as you may or may not know every drag strip has a tower whether it's a little Shack or a big tower or a massive structure behind it like bandam used to have or Houston used to have we've got a balcony up on top VIP suits on the third floor then we have the timing system and announcer on the second floor and I'm not sure what's on the first yet but it's still under construction not much in here let's go check it out oh yeah hi Cliff how are you sir how's it going pretty good I like the new digs is the music better the air conditioner is working better than yesterday it is man always that's why that's why I chose to do what I do here's the voice of street car take I'm overweight and import Face Off fl2k ice Cru Cru yeah this isn't too far from home for you either what do you think of the new track I love it 4 and a half hours away I've already tried to put in my my uh resume like I can kind of talk a little bit of smack maybe if you guys have an event you need an announcer come up here and uh work with these guys and GS great crew great facility they're I mean they're spending money hand over fits they're Paving all the pits this weekend there's some of the upper levels of the pits that are still gravel but like in 2 weeks those are all supposed to be paved they got glass in the tower now like it's it's a it's going to be an amazing topnotch facility when it's done it's already and the surface is amazing the surface is flat as a pool table it it's sticky it's working great yeah the weather this weekend has been absolutely amazing so yeah we're uh I I can't think of anything that I would even remotely complain about this track is topnotch and now for the best view on the property up here on the balcony welcome welcome to the top of the track pretty freaking sweet and figure out where you f in so we've got some massive Grand stands I mentioned those are from Atlanta Dragway and then over on the right they're going to put even more Grand stands and further on down from out they're going to do a 40ft wide projection screen and at the bigger events we're going to have a live feed and an announcer going around talking to people so people in the stands can see what's going on in the pits and watch racing right in front of them pretty badass the KC kickoff party that we're here at started as KC 2K years ago with a pretty big car show in 2012 and then it grew to the size of about 2,000 cars over the years unfortunately there's not enough asphalt on the property to have a massive car show this year but next year the track will have a bunch and we can have them big car show again to keep that tradition our i' been cruising through the pits check out some of the cars that are out here this one's not racing but check out this unicorn tribute car this thing is wild looking what what is going on here I love this it's a 2008 Chevy pickup truck wait wait you said it's a Chevy pickup truck yes sir that's not a Chevy pickup truck yes sir how is it a Chevy pickup truck it's a crazy deal I don't know how like I'm trying to make a four-wheel drive unicorn tribute car okay as cheap as possible and I normally just soup up you know Chevy pickup trucks like the crazy redneck and uh this is this is what I came up with in 90 days in my backyard so the chassis is a Chevy pickup truck yeah come look at the back what but the the frame is from a Chevy pickup truck the whole frame is just chopped and shortened anded and it's factory leaf springs Factory body mounts they're just relocated work with the car a truck Mustang oh my God look at look at the floorboard the floorboard is like no way so you had to shorten this right yeah I cut like 3 and 1/2 ft out of the frame oh my gosh put it together I cut everything else off that we didn't need and I just tried to make it a functioning driving thing um I don't have a lot of money so I had to go back to work and make some more money to put a sequential in it but we're about to do that here in the next couple weeks oh abouty what trans is in it right now uh right now it's a 4 l80 and a transfer case out of like a 2500 HD with a big converter and stuff so you're babing it right now yeah I mean like it it would rip if we wanted it to but it's not it's not 100% like how I want it so I'm not trying to go tear it up yet yeah what's the power plant under the hood uh it's a Thompson Motorsports 408 stroker LS and a F1 proar charger kit hell yeah local boy Kansas City redneck unicorn you know uhhuh no way I don't I can't afford a NASCAR engine so this is best thing I like how you have the itbs just on there for show a lot of it's a lot of it is just you know for show but it's definitely for function too this thing is built to Boogie this isn't a fake tricky car like this thing is meant to rip it's got the wheels on there and everything the side Pipe exhaust these are actually the Huna truck wheels and they it makes sense cuz it's a truck right yes they won't sell you the wheels for the car but they will theck and they're six lug they're the Huna truck wheel yeah got a Terminator in there tuned or nothing it's running on the basement just hand yeah ien I haven't got all that hooked up yet but she's a run and driving deal the glove box opens they're little things like that we got to fix oh yeah it gives it character but it's a hot rod I built it to come do some craziness you know yeah thanks again man thank you sir appreciate the ride appreciate be yeah I start at the I start at the flag are you loving this new car it's awesome man been been running really good went 184 and qualifying and went at 820 at 184 last nine drag RAC nuts super consistent yeah yeah super happy with it 36 speed man those guys built me exactly what I wanted who you racing first pair uh I'm going to be running the pink GTR oh okay cool which is funny cuz that's Tyler who bought my obs trucks my first two oh no way you can't beat a customer right yeah I know you can yeah you can yeah probably going to happen here number one qualifier and you drag racing later on viper at 183 he's going to get Justin a run for his money here I think hopefully they meet in the final what's up Jeremy not too much how are you doing Kyle good how do you like the new track this is one this is the best track I've ever been on sweet it is really nicely set up did you get a mile an hour on your first P pass no I let out early because I didn't know where the end was oh yeah yeah yeah the shutdown's nice and long oh yeah I'm I'm giving a full Sim this time what are you hoping for M hour wise 165 to 170 I'll be real happy with that perfect they're making me put the top up this time did you do top down earlier top down at Kansas airstrip attack last year it was weird it created a vacuum over the car so stuff got sucked out not good not good we'll see you soon Jeremy coming from Omaha along with Justin Preston Z1 Jeremy's got a, 1400 horsepower turbo he's also got a hard toop building that's going to be 2,000 plus horsepower that'll be done Jeremy Freeman pulling up against this mustang here first pair out he's at the top of his class and the second class here in the roll race so should do really well as long as he doesn't break out not sure what the mile hour is here I think 160 something for the the breakout down to get 1461 mph Mustang goes faster Becca's up here in the baby R8 salmon colored Audi TT she won our Invitational roll here let see how she doesn't get all right FCO versus Mustang hoping he can push her out the back she goes one all right here we go first pair second round we got stain killer going up against the GTR they're both 180 mph in the roll Race So this should be good left lane GTR turn 189 another win for a staying killer is he going to win his own race again we're going to find out say see you later to that R Jeremy fredman taking home the win again I heard him off on and off the throttle hopefully doesn't catch up to him little little bit of sandbag in there what's up John well hopefully we keep this belt on we can do the track again 128 mph 2 mph slower than the left lane but you have to get to the Finish Line first to win the race here we go King of the bakery final is it going to be stain killer or enth Moto Aaron and the Viper that's not the kind of RAC we want to see but just is going to get their first ah the Viper having issues half track that was a race for a second I really wanted to see that maybe they'll run it again at the end of our roll races stain killer wins street car over King of the bakery here in Kansas City the inaugural race at the brand new drag strip pretty badass all right in our next class we have a challenger on a buy run and then we have Becca going against Jeremy in the semifinal who's going to race the Challenger in the final Lan you know you can't lose to a girl right uh it's very possible awesome I respect the hell out of it no pressure no pressure they're bone sand baging so this will be very interesting to see how it goes Lamborghini going get first toward the end there what was the breakout in your class 160 I think she went 150 and broke out or no she went 160 she went 16097 oh so she just barely broke out with 160 yeah I was ahead of her either way out this little bit of cars I don't know it it was so she had to play catchup she was playing catch up that makes it tough to be perfectly honest I pedal it because I was far enough ahead of her I didn't want to push it all right so you and the challeng are in the final yes sir hell yeah good luck Jeremy thank you very much s Blazer John yeah that looks like nice dude Gap by the Blazer that has to feel weird watching an SUV pull past you especially an old one I love that thing another interesting thing about flying H drag strip is the surface here most tracks are concrete at the beginning and the top in to save some money but this concrete is one single pour from this expansion joint all the way down to 700 ft there's only a few other tracks in the world like that uh Enis was the first one ever and it's an entire quarter mile of concrete one single pour uh us60 in Kentucky that we were just at for a no prep they are single port as well and the way that works is they have this real thick expansion joint here that in the winter when the concrete shrinks that pulls apart and then in the summer when it expands it pushes that expansion joint together but it makes track prep way easier when you're scraping the track dragging the track there's no bumps and cracks and a very smooth ride for the racers we got jery oh no and the Char sorry get their first and upset the Mopar taking down the lambo in the final that was a close ass race nice job boys our next final we get the ZL1 going up against the ZR1 oh my God talk about a freaking nail biter dude Justin taking on the win in the has been over 2,000 cars in the past you never know what you're going to find this is one of the wildest Things I've seen in one of the car shows here cas sandbagging son of a whatever it just like bit slower maybe we'll see him like below eight maybe High seven there's three Mopars in the class in the eights 789 179 mph the the only 7sec pass in the heavyweight class that car is super impressive it'll be interesting to see who he races the second round in the 10no class I got a car that's caught my attention this old Dodge pickup truck a sneaky little turbo here over here on the side got some good character here as well cut out exhaust on the side they even trim it he got the metal out here got some old war memor on the back and the wood bed with some room for the fuel system getting back to our tour of flying H drag strip about the only thing left I can think to talk about is the staff we've been here for a day and a half and I extremely impressed one of the biggest factors on whether a drag strip succeeds or not is the people behind it I've talked to about 15 to 20 people across the facility from Tech to the burnout box The Starting Line the ET Shack the front gate that is extremely important role you got to be happy and it was all smiles we rolled in here yesterday and no one has made me feel unwelcome it's all smiles and that's going to be very key for making this track succeed for the next 20 30 40 50 years and I hope it does because this track is badass the facility is amazing the staff is amazing and I hope you guys come check it out let's get engine does it have 540 big block good mixture of 41 X's Big Blocks few small blocks mixed in here and there yeah there's there's a full field of anyone can get it done for sure good variety there is parachute early that was sick that car is fast over 4,000 lb for a seventh all right the Dodge pickup truck is back up here for his second pass in the 10 class can he take down this Jeep it's pretty serious looking Jeep I'm not going to lie he's got his cut out we're about to see he'll go on to round three right here right now well played play by the Dodge truck right lane breaking out by 4 hundreds of a second that is rough cuz that was almost a perfect time slip for him the Dodge truck's going to move on to the next round back down here on the top end of the track by the time slip Booth literally right next to the quarter mile I was talking to a friend that runs a jet rster MC McCormick and Miss L how much he loves the shut down at the end because they didn't run fast enough in the eight to need to use their parachute so he just Co up the hill and then without even stopping didn't have to wait for his crew to come back down the return road is downhill coming back he was able to Coast down the hill back into his pit spot over here without waiting for his pit crew he literally just did it himself in his jet car that's pretty sweet all right we're finishing up trip ra for first round here in small Tire be pulling up here in just a second 11 cars in small Tire it's going to get good going down right now right first pair out we got James short in the Camaro and Craven in the RX7 this is going to be a really good race damn James short going up on a wheelie coming down and the car died AR s made a really good look right there our buddy in the full size Chevy pickup getting a tough draw first round he's racing the nitrous Camaro then we got two white fox bodies going up last pair out here in small Tire nobody getting traction out here oh my gosh the nitrous car spinning off the line square body going in second round he got lucky on that one can he do it again in the next pair talk about lucky I know I know holy trying to find some noise oh okay you you get of attempts to get this thing started and to no avail so they are pushing this thing up here as we speak to get him to go into the beams I'm not sure what the rules are or if he has to break the beams under his own power or if they can push him but I'm no expert but that doesn't sound like it's in good shape yeah that thing's uh going to need some attention once they get it back to the Here Comes our street racer heads up unlimited class no ET cap on this this is the final going down right now two Mustangs new verse old who's going to take it home4 740 out of the fox body she was flying taking home win here so we got the good old Battle of gas versus electricity I'm still impressed that this is here because when you're going up against cars like that you would think cars like that would be this silent killer going back home 908 on the breaks hard I'm guessing that's probably an 850 car right there taken down the Tesla so it's going to be that car versus this Mustang in the final 10 class semi-final coming up Red Hat Scotty one of our friends racing the Wago van Red Hat was I think less than a tenth off of the dial for 10 o class so it's going to be a good race Lego van I think like 1050 so far so let's see if he's found some more power cuz he's been trying to fight these clutch issues maybe he's got it sorted out 103 with red hat Scotty moving on to the final in the 100 class yeah the Dodge pickup sandbagging as you can hear going into the final 10-1 he'll be racing Red Hat Scotty in the final here momentarily yeah be you and the Dodge truck in the final oh it's me be a first dude so what's funny is this morning we were supposed to race each other and then everything got mixed up so now we're doing it in the finals that's hilarious so that'll be cool dude it's hard to beat that if you got evenly match cars all right here comes the Malibu and the RX7 I want to see the RX7 go around here another nitrous backfire we saw one last night too that one halfway down the track that was pretty cool to watch but not good for racing I want to see a close race on that one RX7 making another clean hit oh no no okay can the full size pickup get lucky again and make it into the semifinals we're going to find out oh no oh oh There are pieces of that car flying all over the track the Mustang having some major problems half track I thought maybe the truck could blow past him but he had enough momentum to keep ahead of the truck and there was something that blew apart maybe a carbon fiber drive shaft and went flying in front of the pickup truck I'm not sure what it was hopefully it didn't hit the truck Street racer Mile 10 class the fox white going up against the Dodge two friends Red Hat Scotty in the engine builder for his other car racing here at the final Trier take over this is the final no way 106 for Scotty he had that thing dialed and it paid off for him hell yes congratulations Red Hat Scotty what no way dude got him no way dude I thought you got this thing dialed in dude I thought for sure I broke down I know 10 six oh my God I insane dude I grabbed third and I was like we're too fast we're too fast right at the strip amazing nice work Scotty tonight against the sn95 who took down Justin Heckman the winner from last night these cars are close to 3 second passes if not in the threes already it's a notime race we don't really know both super fast here we go right let go and that's what we live for that was a close ass race I swear the right lane was ahead was that a red light 03 margin of Victory and one foot so about a one foot of the stripe no wonder my eye couldn't calibrate to that let me look at the Finish Line real quick see how close that was all right after reviewing the Finish Line shot my eye could not see who won there because I was just like a couple feet off of the angle it was not right dead center on the Finish Line they said a foot margin of Victory from the tower but I think it was just a few inches that was absolutely insane congrats to Craven Moore for winning that race what a badass final we had in the small tire race that's going to do it for this video we had such a blast here at flying age drag
