A Tour of My Apartment: A Personalized Space

As I walk through my apartment, you can see that it's not just a place to rest, but also a space where I express myself and make memories with loved ones. The hallway is a bit dull, but I don't really use this area much, so it's here in case anyone needs it. My favorite feature of this apartment is the unexpected little office nook that I've claimed as my own. I love working from home, and this cozy space allows me to keep all my office supplies organized and out of sight. Over there, you can see my UV light for my gel manicures – I do my own nails at home because it's less expensive and effective than going to a salon. My printer is always stocked with water to keep it running smoothly, and I have a cute little DIY laptop case that I got from a YouTube video tutorial. It was easy to make and looks really pretty and personalized.

As you enter the master bedroom, you can see my massive king-sized bed – it's huge! And if you're wondering about that weird thing on the headboard, it's just my beauty pillow. It helps prevent sleep wrinkles and keeps my hair looking nice while I sleep because of its satin texture. I added some white Christmas lights to add some interest and ambiance to the room. You can also see some magazines, a blink notebook, and my phone charging station, as well as my new Kindle Paperwhite, which I recently purchased and am obsessed with. I'm trying to read a book a week for the rest of the summer, so follow me on Twitter if you want to see what I'm reading.

My dresser is just holding some clothes that I got for my birthday recently. I have a Dyson bladeless fan in purple, which is my favorite color – it's pretty cool and efficient. Over there, you can see some filming equipment that I use for work or personal projects. The mirrored closets on either side of the hallway are shared between me and my boyfriend – mine has all my tops, purses, dresses, while his has a random face on a lamp to help focus our camera.

The master bathroom is definitely my sanctuary. It's huge! As you can see, it has two vanities, a little side nook for my pring space, where I get ready every morning. The station is over there, and all my makeup is stored in another area. The toilet is on this side, and the tub is, of course, the best part – it's huge! And over here, you can see all my shampoos, body washes, hair masks, and other bathroom essentials. I have a little jewelry collection hidden away, mostly Forever 21 pieces, as I'm not much of an expensive jewelry girl.

The last but certainly not least is the shoe closet – I found it when I saw that there was one available for rent. It's led to me having an amazing storage space for my boots and shoes. As you can see, I line them up neatly, and it's become a part of my daily routine to put away my shoes after wearing them. And, as you might expect, this is where my boyfriend likes to hang out with his friends – they're having their nightly bonding time right now.

we're almost done decorating I feel like it's in good enough place that I can show you all and our approach to decorating has really been twofold one is decorating on a budget so I will have some tips throughout the video of how we saved money in decorating and the other thing we're doing is we picked a very neutral palette a lot of Grays and whites and then we have a pop of our accent color which the tour this is kind of the initial view you get and I'll just go over a few of my favorite pieces in here the couch is from Ikea I was a little hesitant about getting an Ikea couch but I checked out some reviews and this one in particular had a lot of positive things written about it and it's quite comfortable nice and big all of the accent pillows are from Pier 1 Pier 1 has the best pillows this is Baux who's going to be modeling this new rug which is from overstock.com I had a 20% off coupon so I think it was only like $150 it's a nice high quality rug and I have got to make a shout out for these light curtains you can't really see them cuz it's so bright right now I will input a clip when it's night time just just to show you how gorgeous of an Ambiance these give the room they were super easy to make I will link below my DIY Decor video just to show you how I make these but they are possibly my favorite thing in the entire apartment it just brings that wow factor now looking from this angle at the room we have our gas fireplace it turns on with a button which is nice and convenient some candles on the mantle and then this wall art piece piece which was from Target now this wall art piece it is a mirrored Mosaic from Pier 1 I always get good discounts at Pier 1 I wait for the sales so this was about $150 I believe but I just think it is gorgeous and moving over to the dining area so what I'm really proud of in this area is the fact that we came up with a creative way to fill this ginormous wall got the idea to put these three mirrored window window on here they were from Target under $50 each and I think that they just give this really cool shabby chic vibe to the room the table and chairs are from West Elm my boyfriend had these originally so I inherited these and this chandelier I love this chandelier I got it from a craft store they were on sale now moving outside to the patio area we have quite a big patio which I love this dining set is from Home Depot it's a little big for the space but we love to sit out here and enjoy the nice Sunset and there's a pretty view it's also quite private with these trees in front next we will move on to my favorite space in the apartment which is the kitchen now my favorite thing about this kitchen is this giant Island it makes cooking so much better and this is actually a real orchid my mother bought this for me as a house Waring and I just think this blue color is stunning and surprisingly I have not killed them yet over here is our gas stove this was a must for my boyfriend I don't really care our microwave the two appliances that we really use a lot and have out is the rice cooker that has a steamer on top then our toaster and over here is our coffee and tea station possibly the best thing that I own is my Braille tea maker I make tea two to three times a day I'm kind kind of an addict here is our sink area and I picked up this little wall decor from Pier 1 as well you'll notice a Pier One theme because they were having a sale and then our fridge nothing too exciting here but there are some cool magnets from all of the places that Ryan has been and some of them we've been to together but this is just a little collection which I think is pretty fun so another item I will mention is this customized dog bowl that has Baux my dog's name now we're going to move on down this hallway this is kind of the guest SL laundry area on the left is our guest room not going to show you that it's not too interesting and it's not fully Done Yet over here is our fullsize side by-side washer and dryer and this is just amazing to have side by side nice large washer and dryer now the guest bathroom here is in this hallway not a lot interesting to see here we don't really use this wash I actually use this Herbal Essences as a body wash cuz I love the smell and it's not that great for my hair but it's great as a body wash I've been liking this L'Oreal total repair extreme because I bleach my hair so it needs extreme repair and then along those lines this is my little hair mask station I do a hair mask every other night it's that serious and I use coconut oil extra virgin olive oil and then a little bit of a professional mask mixed in so so here are all of my bathroom essential goodies here's my little jewelry collection and I don't have expensive jewelry I get most of my jewelry from Forever 21 most of my earrings especially I'm me earrings kind of a girl so pretty much everything you see here is from Forever 21 this is Ryan's area he's much more of a minimalist than me and basically looks kind of like a phantom boyfriend right now because he doesn't have a lot of stuff I saved the best for last this little door right here this leads into a Shoe Closet when I saw this I was sold so I have my boots on the bottom and just line up all my shoes as you can see I kind of claimed this as my own guys just don't have the need for this like we ladies do here is the man the myth himself I told you he was not a phantom boyfriend he exists they're having their nightly bonding time okay and that is it for my apartment tour I really hope you guys liked
