Doug DeMuro and Tyler Hoover's Favorite Cars They've Ever Owned _ Hoovie and Doug Talk About Cars
The Evolution of Car Design: A Discussion with Doug and Vee
When it comes to car design, opinions can vary greatly from person to person. For some, certain models are considered classics, while others are seen as ugly or unattractive. In this episode of "Who Vee", Doug and Vee discuss their personal preferences when it comes to car design.
Doug's Favorite Car
For Doug, one of his favorite cars is the C 36. He loves its bold design and says that it's beautiful. However, he agrees that some models from the same era may not be as appealing. "I had a CLK 55, I liked it too," he says. "But I think the C 36 is just beautiful." Doug explains that his C 36 has only 213,000 miles on it and is still in great condition. He's willing to part with it for $900, but warns that he's already spent a significant amount of money keeping it up.
A Different Perspective
Vee takes a different approach when it comes to car design. She doesn't care about the aesthetics of some models, as long as she's comfortable driving them. "I don't have to see it," she says with a laugh. When shown pictures of certain cars, Vee is unimpressed by their designs. "Who cares?" she asks. However, when she sees her own car, the SLC, in action, she's a different person. She admits that her SLC may not be to everyone's taste, but it's still a beloved part of her collection.
A Conversation About Ugliness
The topic of ugliness comes up when discussing certain car models. Vee mentions the rx-8 SLC as one of the ugliest cars ever made. Doug takes this in stride and explains that some people may not appreciate certain designs. However, he also admits that some models from the same era may have been more aesthetically pleasing. "The pagoda was a nice-looking animal," he says.
Paring Down a Car Collection
If one had to pare down their car collection to just one vehicle, which ones would they choose? For Doug, it's between his C 36 and the Cayenne Turbo. However, if he had to pick just one, he'd drive the truck that comes with him. "I'd probably sell them all and then get one nice car," he says with a smile.
Doug's Story
Doug explains that his company truck is actually provided by his employer. He takes it for work-related tasks, but admits that driving around in a pickup truck isn't always the most stylish experience. Despite this, he loves his truck and wouldn't trade it for anything.
A Final Thought on Car Design
In the end, it's clear that car design is highly subjective. What one person finds beautiful or unattractive may be different from another's perspective. For Doug and Vee, their personal preferences are rooted in their own experiences with certain cars. Whether you're a fan of bold designs or classic models, there's no denying the importance of aesthetics when it comes to cars.

looks enough like a Fiero I guess yeah it's cards now are also write saying and that one was from an era when that style was concerned saying but it wasn't as insane as they've got yeah I mean there's a few like how much does that cost and I get to say more than you can afford pally you know that kind of stuff but but no it's not bad was it a black spider it was a black spider with with the the estate yes those are fantastic cars I get emails from from people offering me to review those MIT ones yeah cross the country I got to do it someone because it's such a crazy part of course wood paneling on the side wood paneling the pillowtop seats yeah 94 to 96 they were scaling down production they're like we don't have a motor to put in these things so they put in the lt1 right look at detune Corvette engine right in it and it's it's so much fun it's so comfortable dying to ride suspension Ryan concert sound to steer giant rear end you could put it anything in the back of that oh yeah no that is a you the one you owned was exported to Germany that's apparently that's what the CARFAX says I tried to find it and that's where it went that sort of man to Bremerhaven it said it imported I am in DC there was always one in Georgetown on the same spot when his walk around I'd see it and it had diplomates on it that we're German and that's the kind of car that I think the practice those people because it's like the American car yeah wood-paneled v8 rear-wheel drive massive station wagon that is like America sir I hear of him so what else is on your list I always loved I had a 2001 Mercedes e55 AMG which was the 210 - mm-hmm that car I loved deeply mm-hmm because it was just so cool and interestingly more than the 500 e I remember reading that yeah the 500 e I thought was a little outdated and it was kind of boring if Porsche didn't have a hand in the 500 e note that car would no one would care about that card right no one care about it's so over height to this point so over and the people are like they someone are trader arbitrators people ask an 80 grand for it's ridiculous right and and and any 55 a little more under the radar it's starting to get a little over 15 yeah they're very reliable there master if Porsche hadn't been a part of that no one right heard of it it was a Mercedes engine people handles a 928 didn't know it is and it's the same five-litre v8 from the S salad wasn't anything the e55 was the coolest car yeah and it was reliable and and it was from an Arab when they were still reliable and solid and right problem is just not the best-looking it's it's a little bit I mean it's it's kind of that weird in-between of the boxy and the round II kind of boldness thing at least the nose it's a little it's a little weird see because mine the C 36 I still have it that's my favorite I had a CLK 55 I liked it too some I didn't yeah I get my favorite yeah I agree I agree I like that car though but I think the C 36 is just beautiful oh yeah beautiful so cool yes such a nice looking car they problem when the e55 was that have had the same box he looked better had the circle headlights right that's what I'm talking about yes mm-hmm but who cares I don't care when I'm driving the car I don't have to see it yes I do a picture of the car in the car so I'm looking at one right at the scene 36 you don't have to there's no you don't have to sell that mine has two hundred thirteen thousand miles on it is still beautiful oh my gosh good what do you want for that car it's fine I'll give you 800 cash today I paid 5 grand for it yeah great and I probably spend another five grand keeping it up but 900 oh boy okay let's see 36 I've lost more money on my youtube ventures so yeah well here's another tree to lose a little more right now your SL you loved that that hug the ugly era SL well it's it's sort of the family heirloom was my first car I still have it do you like it only because it's a family owned do you admit that it's ugly no it is not ugly come ons the European mine's the Euro I people say that to me like it makes a difference it does I know the bumpers were bad but headlights well but I mean it still has that the front end looks like a Viper it's so long and in the rear the wheel arch doesn't go over the whole wheel why is that that's the common thing back then yeah the pagoda was a nice-looking animal yes yes yes there it's an evolution of that it's it's yeah I I mean it's it's weird but it's not you are offended by it and I don't understand why you were still offended by it and I'm tremendously offended and the SLC yeah is one of the truly ugly cars that is existed in our lifetime yeah rx-8 SLC the rx-8 yeah yes okay we read something we agreed on this is great if you had to pare down your fleet into one automobile like in other words which company get how many cars here right now 16 and a half or something like that okay if you count the LeBaron that I have buried 69 all right you got 16 and a half cars yeah there's no access to a bear and I assume we wouldn't choose that one anyway which you know if you had to pare it down to one like you moved in New York City a1 parking space what are you driving just I'd rather die then you move to New York yes people ask me this it's impossible absolutely impossible I guess this is I mean the C 36 or the Cayenne Turbo so you 30 feet you take a 2,000 mile C 36 yes I would probably sell them all and then get one nice car you know early afford one decent cool the secret about you is you have one decent car and you have this GMC pickup the it's a company truck it's a company provided yeah but you're self-employed you take one step into the store that is my percentage of the company but would that buy yourself the truck so that's this you know so the answer is if you could pare it down you would get continued driving the truck with the ventilated seats and the doll the other stuff yes so but yeah it's a tax thing yeah I got the hoop B flee but I'm driving around or like a pickup truck you just call me C 36 to the Cayenne Turbo that's that's the answer okay really yes that would be really yes yeah probably add a really nice guy in termina those are good ties I'll accept that from you great okay so this is over and that's been another episode of who Vee and Doug talk about cars thanked about
