DOLLAR TREE DIY _ FRESH FARMHOUSE DECOR _ LEMON CANDLE WREATH

**DIY Lemon Wreath from Dollar Tree**

When it comes to decorating for spring, one of my favorite DIY projects is creating a beautiful wreath using lemons and other greenery. In this article, I'll show you how to make a stunning lemon wreath using items from Dollar Tree.

The idea for this project came about when I stumbled upon a willow wreath at Dollar Tree that caught my eye. I thought it would be the perfect base for my DIY project. To start, I purchased two lemons from the same bag at Dollar Tree for $2.50 each. As you can see, the lemons are not cheap, but the quality is great and they're a beautiful addition to any room.

To begin creating my wreath, I started by securing the willow wreath with some hot glue. It's essential to stabilize the lemons since the wreath has a bumpy surface. I wanted to add a bit of texture and visual interest to my DIY project. The hot glue was necessary to secure the lemons in place. I applied it in small amounts, making sure not to overdo it, as this can cause the lemons to become misshapen.

I added a few smaller lemons to fill in some gaps, but overall, the wreath has a lovely balance of size and shape. The hot glue was used sparingly to prevent any lumps or bumps from forming. With every addition, I made sure to secure it firmly in place, adjusting as needed until everything felt stable.

The next step was adding some greenery to complement the lemons. I found a beautiful bouquet at Hobby Lobby that had leaves similar to those on the garland from Dollar Tree. However, upon closer inspection, I realized that the leaves from the hobby store were almost identical in appearance to the ones from the dollar tree. So, I decided to use the leaves from the dollar tree instead.

To add the greenery to my wreath, I picked a few of the leaves and plucked them off the garland, taking care not to damage any of the stems. I then added some hot glue to secure their ends in place. The goal was to create a cohesive look with a more yellow tone than green. Therefore, I didn't add too many leaves to this DIY. By clustering the lemons together, you can achieve either a mostly yellow or a mix of yellow and green color scheme.

The final touch for my wreath was adding a small candle from Target as its centerpiece. I chose a white candle because it would highlight the beautiful yellow of the lemons and add an elegant touch to my DIY project.

This lemon wreath is perfect for decorating your home, parties, luncheons, or even weddings. The willow wreath from Dollar Tree can be used as a base for other DIY projects, such as creating a more elaborate wreath or turning it into a real wreath that you can hang on your door.

One of the best things about this project is its versatility and affordability. With just a few items from Dollar Tree, I was able to create a beautiful piece of art that adds some spring charm to any room. The total cost for this DIY was approximately $5.50, which includes the willow wreath, lemons, greenery, twine, books, and candle.

**Tips and Variations**

If you want more greenery than yellow in your wreath, simply cluster a few of the smaller lemons together and add an equal amount of green leaves to fill in any gaps. You can also use this technique to create a mix of colors by clustering larger lemons with fewer leaves or vice versa.

Another idea for creating a beautiful centerpiece is to stack several books of your choice on top of each other, wrapping some twine around the edges to secure them in place. This creates a unique and eye-catching display that adds visual interest to any room.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enI have been really feeling lemons lately you guys know I love yellow and I wanted to do some lemon DIYs for around the house and of course I'm gonna share those tutorials with you guys I wanted to create this really beautiful I'm calling it a candle wreath but I got my inspiration actually from kirklands and I would have done another dupe video because I've done dupe videos in the past but the lemon the little mini lemon wreath little mini really the mini lemon wreaths at kirklands that I got the inspiration from is completely sold out not available so I don't I don't think I'm gonna call this a dupe but this is all Dollar Tree stuff but I it with the exception of the lemons which I got at Hobby Lobby which was such a much better deal you guys Dollar Tree does sell lemons but one dollar per lemon so you're definitely gonna get a better deal at your local craft store especially when they have coupons and I got a little bag and a larger bag of lemons and both were way better than dollar trees one dollar for a lemon the smaller bag which is what I use this wreath for was $4.99 but I had a 50% off coupon putting this at two dollars and fifty cents for the lemons alone and you can see how many lemons I got out of it so that is the one caveat but I did want to show you guys that lit that Dollar Tree does sell lemons as well anyway so what I basically did was I took the willow wreath from Dollar Tree and I started adding the lemons securing it with some hot glue takes a little bit of patience because the wreath is kind of bumpy it's not a flat surface so you really kind of have to stabilize the lemons and keep adding hot glue so that it will just kind of stick to where it's at I wasn't trying to be perfect I made sure my lemons were facing different ways and I was gonna fill in the spaces later and then I took some Dollar Tree leaves I wanted to show you guys I also got a bouquet from Hobby Lobby as well but I want to show you guys that the leaves were almost identical from the garland from Dollar Tree versus Hobby Lobby and so I picked the ones from Dollar Tree plucked off a couple of those and then added some hot glue to the ends and then secured them in random spots I wanted it to be more yellow than green so I didn't add too many leaves to this DIY so that's something for you to consider if you want more greenery than yellow just add a couple of lemons maybe cluster them in one little corner and then add a bunch of like greenery around it but I wanted my wreath to be more yellow than green or you can do an equal amount of the same amount of lemons and the same amount of green leaves so totally up to you and I think the total cost of this project is gonna be closer to the end when I show you guys what I did with it but I thought it would be really cute to make it excuse me into a candle wreath I thought it would be beautiful to just put a candle in the center of it and the candle that you're gonna see here in a minute is going to be from Target I decided to go with a white candle which you're gonna see because basically what I'm doing oh by the way is I am once I was starting to add the leaves I could see where I had little spots that I needed to fill in so I kind of went back and added some of the smaller little lemons to it but yeah I decided to go with a white candle because I thought it would look really beautiful and highlight the yellow of this brief and also I just want to point out these are perfect as centerpieces you can make multiples of these I use this smaller willow wreath from Dollar Tree you could definitely go with the larger willow wreath and make even bigger ones you could actually turn this into a real wreath and hang it on your door so lots of cute little options here for you guys to do and this would be even beautiful for like luncheons and parties and even weddings I think this is really beautiful so originally this was supposed to be in a video with three different DIYs but we're gonna in this after this one so there's only be two in this video the third one is coming and I'm gonna group it with a bunch of other spring DIYs but for this one I spotted this cute little topper while I was picking out the bag of lemons from Hobby Lobby was $2.99 but again 50% off and so it was a dollar 50 and for me that is all I spent for this one DIY because I already had the books and I already had the twine so if you are someone that makes a lot of DIY is using Dollar Tree stuff you most likely have some twine laying around or just in general maybe but otherwise if you don't have any of this the total cost was about five dollars and fifty cents I just picked out some books that I already had on hand I wanted originally a green book and I tried to find one a Dollar Tree but I couldn't but then I thought lavender looked really beautiful kind of broke it up and gave it a different color that I'm not used to using in my house I stacked them in the order of color that I wanted and then as you saw I just wrapped some twine tied it up and that is it you guys so that's it for my DIYs today thank you guys so much for watching if you're interested in
