**Galaxy A7 Review: A Gaming Powerhouse with a Few Quirks**
As I started testing the Galaxy A7, I noticed that it was warm to the touch, around 37 degrees Celsius. However, as soon as I started playing games like Tokyo and Modern Combat 5, the screen began to get warmer, particularly in the areas where I touched it. This warming up of the screen was not uncomfortable, but it was noticeable.
Despite the initial warmth, the Galaxy A7 performed well during gaming sessions. In fact, it was able to handle high-end games like Tokyo and Modern Combat 5 without any issues. However, with extended gaming, the device started to heat up, particularly near the screen area. The temperatures were recorded as high as 42 degrees Celsius in some areas.
**Overheating Issues**
I had also tested other devices with the same Snapdragon 615 chipset, and both of them exhibited overheating while gaming. While the Galaxy A7 did not have any issues in normal usage, it started to heat up when playing games for extended periods.
To confirm my findings, I took a break from gaming and checked the temperatures again. The results were consistent with my initial observations - the screen area was still warm to the touch, but the back of the device was not as hot. The temperatures recorded were 41 degrees Celsius near the screen area and around 4 inches on the back.
**Multi-Touch Issues**
One other issue I noticed during testing was related to multi-touch functionality. According to the specifications, this device should support five multi-touch points. While it did track well with two fingers, it sometimes struggled with three or four fingers being tracked simultaneously. However, in most cases, it worked smoothly.
**Conclusion**
In conclusion, the Galaxy A7 is a powerful gaming device that can handle high-end games without any issues. However, it does have some quirks - particularly related to overheating and multi-touch functionality. While these issues are not deal-breakers, they do warrant attention from users who plan to use their device for extended periods of gaming.
The device's performance is undoubtedly impressive, but its ability to handle heat during gaming sessions needs to be addressed by the manufacturer. With a few tweaks, this device could become an even more formidable player in the market.
I will be posting a full in-depth review of the Galaxy A7 soon, which will provide readers with a detailed analysis of the device's performance, features, and quirks. Stay tuned for that review to learn more about this powerful gaming device.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit and I have the Samsung Galaxy A7 with me and in this video we'll be doing the gaming review and we'll also be looking at the temperatures after doing gaming for about 15 or 20 minutes uh this A7 Sports a Snapdragon 615 chipset which is a octacore processor and it has 2 gigs of RAM so let's start the gaming and we'll start with some casual games and then quickly move to heavy games so let's start with Dead Trigger 2 so this is is Dead Trigger 2 and I have already posted the unboxing and initial overview of this galaxy A7 so you can check out that for more info and it's a pretty Sleek handset and though it has a single speaker it's actually pretty loud so let's just continue this is Dead Trigger 2 and it Sports a super amulet screen uh with a 1080p panel and as you can see it's pretty loud a let's lower the brightness uh sorry the volume a little bit okay let's take it to the Bri you okay room so let's continue and the speaker is actually pretty loud on this A7 I have also tested the A5 and the eer uh those don't have this loud speaker I would say so continuing and as you can see it is playing this uh game actually pretty well so as you can see it is running this dead trigger game pretty well and I see no lag whatsoever on this one so you'll have a good experience playing this game car so let me just get out of this one and let's move to some other heavy games so this is Asal let me show you the graphics settings first uh by default let me lower this music volume by default it was at the medium Graphics setting but I have kept it to high graphics setting as you can see and we'll play with this one uh it is actually pretty much playable even on the high graphics setting so this is the Iceland level and uh we'll play this and if you see some lines on the screen don't worry uh the handset is perfect it's just my camera sometimes it happens and the screen quality actually is very good it's a very good 1080p AMOLED panel that Samsung has used on this A7 and as you can see we're doing the drifts Etc it's running it without any issues and as you can see it's running this game actually pretty well I have complete control over the cars I do notice some frame drops at time at this high graphics setting but with the medium uh Graphics setting that was uh the default setting I did not notice any frame drops so as you can see it is running this game actually very well one thing I do notice sometime is the touch sensitivity issue on this uh unit I'll actually show you that with a multitouch tester later on maybe it's just the unit that I have but sometimes it simply does not register all the five finger points so it's been around 9 odd minutes since we were gaming and uh the back is actually not getting that warm but the screen is getting and as you can see it's around 37 de C 39 yes it is touching here it did touch about 39 but here on the screen it is getting a bit warm now and again yeah it is around 39° C but let's just continue so we'll just play this Tokyo level for a minute or two then we'll move to Modern Combat 5 which actually actually stresses most of the phones out there so we'll also play that game now I do notice slight warming up of the screen but we'll check the temperatures later on actually I had tested other two devices also having the Snapdragon 615 chip set and both those devices exhibited overheating while gaming uh one was the HTC desar 820 and the other was the Micromax U urea uh this A7 in normal usage is not exhibiting heating but uh with gaming uh I'm noticing it is heating up a little bit now no major doop frames or anything like that and we are still at the highest Graphics setting now it's been almost around 12 odd minutes since we were gaming and I noticed the this portion around the screen is getting a bit warm now to my touch not very uncomfortable but yes it is getting warm we'll check the temperatures in a minute or so still it's running this game actually pretty well as you can see so we'll just check the temperatures and then move to Modern Combat 5 it's been 30 KN minutes and yes as you can see now it's touching around the 40° cus Mark around the screen near the gear piece it's around 41 and that's why this area was getting a bit warm let's look at the back the back is not that warm uh thanks to that aluminium back it's dissipating the heat actually pretty easily it's just around 4 fish yeah 41 that we are seeing Max uh so let's just move out of this one also and then move to Modern Combat 5 so this is Modern Combat 5 uh this is a paid game and as you can see it is able to handle it strike two this is Monarch advance to extraction point B over you heard him come on get out of here and it's able to handle it fine but sometimes I noticed touch response is a little bit way off I'll show you that after we finish this game let's get out of here but I don't notice any lagginess still now keep on firing Chopper more incoming hang on keep on fireing godam it I think we're in the clear and as I mentioned this uh this area of the screen is getting a bit warm to touch now but uh the back is not very hot like some other devices which had the Snapdragon 615 chip set they're all over us and it's been just around 18 minutes since we started this gaming session um this level is also done in the clear and it's been around 18 minutes so let's look at the temperatures now again as you can see uh near the screen it's around 40.5 it registered 41.5 which is actually pretty high I would say hence this area was getting a little bit uncomfortable almost 41.9 Max it resisted that's almost 42 uh near the uncomfortable levels and back was again it did touch about 41 over 41.6 around this so we can take a Max of around 42° C it is not as bad as the HTC Desire 820 or the urea which touched 50° C which was very uncomfortable but certainly it is getting a little bit uh warm I would say uh particularly this area of the screen uh now let me actually show you one more thing uh that is the multi-touch points on this device which is a sort of a worry technically speaking it should support five multi touch points and as you can see with two fingers it tracks actually very well with even three it tracks very well but when I start putting the fourth and the fifth finger sometimes it won't track properly most of the times it does track properly all the five fingers but sometimes I notice one finger tracking is a little bit we off I notice that it does not happen every time but it is happening sometimes maybe the just the unit that I have is faulty but I just wanted you guys to know about this issue that I was facing but regarding gaming as you can see this device is actually pretty good it could handle any game we threw on it without any issues but the thing is that with extended gaming it is getting a bit warm particularly here uh near the screen area it was touching around 42° C which is not very hot but can be a little bit uncomfortable I'll also be posting a full in-depth review for this galaxy A7 very soon so stay tuned to my channel thanks for watching this video this is Ranjit
