Everything the New LG 65C1 OLED 4K TV Can Do

**E-ARC Option Enables Full Sound System**

One of the notable features of the LG 65C1 is its ability to enable E-ARC, which allows for a full sound system. To activate this option, you need to go into the settings and scroll down a little bit. Once you've enabled the E-ARC option, you can enjoy a high-quality audio experience.

**Motion Pro: Reducing Blur on Screen**

Another feature of the LG 65C1 is Motion Pro, which allows you to reduce any blur on screen, resulting in a smooth picture. This feature is particularly useful for those who don't like excessive motion blur while watching videos. However, it's worth noting that Motion Pro only works on HDMI inputs, and the built-in apps do not support this feature.

**Picture Settings: Adjusting for Perfect Quality**

The picture settings on the LG 65C1 offer a range of options to adjust for perfect quality. You can choose from various modes, including Vivid, Cinema, and Power Saving, among others. These settings allow you to customize your viewing experience and ensure that your TV is producing images that meet your expectations.

**Gaming Performance with NVIDIA Graphics Card**

I tested the LG 65C1 with a computer equipped with an NVIDIA graphics card, specifically the RTX 2060. The G-Sync feature was enabled, which allowed for smooth gameplay. I adjusted the settings to ensure that the game was running at 60 frames per second and enabled HDR for optimal visuals.

**Additional Features: AMD FreeSync, HDMI VRR, and 1-Millisecond Response Time**

The LG 65C1 supports various additional features, including AMD FreeSync, which helps reduce screen tearing and provides a smoother gaming experience. The TV also has HDMI 2.1, the latest standard for high-speed data transfer rates. Additionally, the TV boasts a 1-millisecond response time, making it ideal for fast-paced games.

**Streaming Capabilities with Twitch App**

The LG 65C1 offers seamless streaming capabilities directly from the Twitch app. This feature allows you to stream your online gaming experiences in real-time, without any lag or delays. The TV's processor and hardware work together to provide a smooth and high-quality video feed.

**Impressions with the LG OLED Panel**

After using the LG 65C1 for about a month, I'm impressed by its performance and features. The OLED panel provides excellent picture quality, with perfect blacks and a wide range of colors. The TV's processor is also impressive, handling various tasks such as streaming without any lag or buffering.

**Software Interface Lag**

While the LG 65C1 has an excellent picture quality, I did notice some lag in its software interface. Sometimes, it takes a little bit longer to load certain features or apps. However, this issue does not affect the overall viewing experience, and the TV's performance is still exceptional.

**No Lag with Streaming**

One notable aspect of the LG 65C1 is its ability to handle streaming without any lag or buffering. Whether I'm watching cartoons or other content, there is no artifacting or visual issues. The TV's processor and hardware work together seamlessly to provide a crisp and clear picture quality.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, the LG 65C1 is an exceptional television that offers impressive features, including E-ARC, Motion Pro, and advanced gaming capabilities. Its OLED panel provides excellent picture quality, while its software interface may have some minor lag issues. However, these drawbacks are minor compared to the TV's overall performance and features. If you're in the market for a high-end TV with the latest standards, I highly recommend considering the LG 65C1.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: entoday we're going to take a look at the 2021 edition of the lg oled c1 this is a 4k smart tv with oled technology built in it has the webos interface and much more and in today's video i'm going to show you everything it can do i do want to thank lg for sponsoring today's video and providing the tv so first let's talk about the specs as you can see there are a ton now you can check out the link in the description below to see all of those specs but we're going to go over and highlight the best things about this tv today let's start by talking about the unboxing experience now when you do unbox this tv and get it set up you do need to have two people that are available to do this i do want to mention that the port and the plug are opposite from samsung tvs that i've used in the past so here we have the power cable on the right side and we have the hdmi and other ports on the left side of the tv so when you're planning to put this in your home that might be handy to know now before we get this plugged in let's talk about the ports that we have on the back of the tv here we have 100 megabits per second rj45 port we have an optical port there's an antenna in and there's three usb ports two on the back one on the side and then we also have four hdmis now each of these hdmis do support hdmi 2.1 so that means that you can game at 120 frames per second at 4k which is just amazing now hdmi 2 does support e-arc so that's going to be great to be able to use adobe atmos so that you have the best sound possible now something that you can't see on the back of the tv is the built-in wi-fi and bluetooth where you can connect your different devices to as well as the a9 gen4ai processor now this processor is going to help with the tv to be able to process all of that high data images that we'll be talking about in a little bit now when you do use the tv stand you do have the option to route some of the cables right from the back here to have better cable organization now if you do want to mount the tv find a 300 millimeter by 200 millimeter mount to mount it on your wall now once we have this unboxed let's go ahead and plug it in and get set up now there are two ways in which you can do this you can either download the thinkq app on your mobile device or you can just use the magic remote that the tv came with to control and set up everything the thinkq app also gives you a remote to control the tv from your phone and it has a few other features as well now once the setup is fully complete we are brought to the home page now the home screen has been reorganized for the 2021 edition to be more comfortable to use now on the top row you have a few different notifications as well as a search option next after the top row you have some other recommended things that you can watch and then next you have your apps row now this can be customized you just hold down on the apps you want to move and then you can easily use the remote to move them back and forth or you can turn on intelligent edit where it will automatically organize the apps based on your usage scrolling through this list you'll see some of the top apps available you can simply click on the app or go to the app store to install those apps so i'm going to download any of the other apps that i typically use like youtube tv voodoo and there are quite a few now after the home row the next row shows the different hdmi inputs that you can get to you can also connect to media servers and other things that are connected to the device right here now one cool thing that you can do is holding down the input button it jumps right into the home dashboard app and this will show you what hdmi you're currently on you can quickly select other hdmis and you can set up your apple home kit and other things right from this app now back on the home screen it is showing some other promoted content that we could watch so here we have lg channels which is pretty much tv that you don't have to pay for that's included on the tv and so you can watch right there then if we scroll down you'll see more promoted content that you can watch and other recommendations that lg has for you now when you turn off the tv and you turn it back on you are greeted with the apps row again so you can quickly find the app that you want to go to if you prefer not to have that show up you do have the option to turn that off next let's talk about the magic remote for the 2021 model it has a brand new design with new features now this might be one of my favorite modes i've used on any smart tv because of this one feature you can see that back there there's a little mouse on the tv and it's how you interact with the tv is all you need to do is use this little scroll wheel and then you can move this around just like you would a mouse so this is really helpful when you're signing into different smart applications you are able to simply type in your email address just like you're used to instead of click click click click click click click you can use that if you want to but i find that that magic remote is pretty cool now this remote has all kinds of other things volume mute channel you have your home your voice assistant button now this is an lg voice assistant button right here play peter rabbit these are the results from peter rabbit which one of these would you like to view you have your input button back settings and then down here you have the option to jump right into netflix prime video disney plus lg channels and you can also activate your other voice assistants like google assistant and the amazon assistant right from the remote now in the middle you do have the scroll wheel and when you touch that that's what activates the magic remote and if you're trying to point directly at the tv and it's not working correctly you just need to kind of move to the edge and then go back and that will realign it with the scroll wheel it makes it super easy to scroll up and down the screen or through different menus and if you want to scroll to the left and right all you have to do is press the button down and grab it and then you can scroll it that way so i have found that magic remote and the scroll wheel to be super handy to have but sometimes then i'm just using the d-pad function where you can push left or right and up and down and so overall i'm very happy with how the remote has worked next let's talk about the smart home functions so as i mentioned on the remote you can instantly activate google assistant and amazon now this works similar to the voice decisions on other smart tvs so i just hold it down how far away is the moon and there you can see the assistant pops up at the bottom and it will respond to your request and then you'll see the response pop up on screen the same happens with the amazon assistant how far would it take to drive to the moon and there we can find out it's going to take us three days to get to the moon now you can control your different smart lights and other things and even search through the tv now to unlock the full potential of the c1 integrating with your smart home you do need to download the lg thinkq app once you've linked the oled into the thinkq app you can now control the tv all from your phone which is pretty cool you have the options at the bottom to scroll left and right and up and down and then you can scroll through and you can see all the same options as you would have on the remote now to get these set up with your smart home here in the google home app we're going to link the lg theme q app we're going to sign into our account and then that is going to add the tv into our home where then we can control it from the google home app by turning it on and off or we can control it by voice which it's so nice that you are able to do this hey google turn off lg tv sure turning lg tv off there the tv turns off now to set this up with amazon assistant you're going to do the same thing you're going to go into the alexa app you're going to go to the settings you're going to go to skills and you're going to search for thank you and link your account once you've done that you can now do this turn on lg tv okay and now the tv has turned back on now with that skill in action it only gives you the option to turn on and off the tv but to enhance what you can do you do need to use the ask lg command and then you can do all kinds of things like switch the hdmi change the volume and other things so let's go ahead and try and turn up the volume hey google ask lg to turn up the volume okay your tv volume has been changed and there the tv was changed ask lg to switch to hdmi one okay your tv input will be changed to hdmi one now you can also control the oled by connecting it to apple homekit now you do that by going into the home dashboard here and then you're going to go to the airplay option now once you go into the airplay option you do get the option to connect this through apple homekit so here on my ipad i just need to go to the home app go and add a new device and then i need to type in the code that is on screen now once i've done that the tv has been added into homekit and i can now power the tv on and off and now i have the option to change to the hdmis that are available so you can integrate that with other things that you can do within apple homekit if you have a supported airplay device you can mirror the screen on to the tv so here i'm able to mirror my ipad right on the tv and there is pretty much no lag at all so scrolling through the ipad you can see everything works so well and then you could even play movies on there and it's going to play right on the tv i know that's quickly been a lot of info but let's take a quick break and check out the screensaver when you leave the tv alone now this is used to help your oled tv last for a very long time it can be adjusted in the settings now before we get into the fine details about this tv one more thing to talk about is how thin this tv is now at the very bottom of the tv there is a little bit of a base that's 1.8 inches thick but at the top here you can see it is just absolutely thin compared to my foldable phone which is already very thin this tv is even smaller than that it's like a cracker smaller than a cracker oh my gosh this makes me so nervous now it's time to talk about what makes the oled tv different from all the other tvs and why the picture quality is so amazing so with an led tv you have a screen where the entire screen is lit and then certain pixels will show different colors but no matter what the whole tv has light coming through it so even if it's black you may still see a little bit of light well with the oled tv every single pixel that is on the tv is individually lit that means there's not a panel behind it lighting the whole tv that means every single pixel can turn on or completely turn off so when you have a dark video or something like that it's not showing a pixel that's turned off with a backlight it's showing a pixel that's off so it's completely black so this allows you to have some amazing contrasting colors when you are watching videos i've used a samsung phone for many years and they use an amoled technology which is a little different than the oled in the tv but samsung has never expanded that to their tv lineup that's why this lg oled is so amazing because you have that awesome pixel per pixel depth in color so here you can see the black is perfectly black because those pixels are turned off and it's only lighting up the other colors that it needs to to get that wide range of color now one of my favorite things has been the dolby vision iq every tv i've had has never had that dolby vision and i can say that it really enhances the quality of the picture i just can't wait for movie night where we can pull up a new movie with the kids and we have that theater-like experience probably even better than the theater screen here on the lg oled because it has such drastic colors and everything just pops and looks amazing and when we're watching a movie it is a brand new experience because its colors and contrast that we have never been able to see before here at home now with that this tv also has dolby atmos so built in it has a 2.2 system so you have a left and right speaker and different channels but for the most part i have plugged in my own dolby atmos system with this and it sounds absolutely amazing now i do want to mention that by default when you plug in adobe atmos system in the sound settings it did not recognize that i was using e-arc so you do need to go into the settings scroll down a little bit and enable the e-arc option and then you can have that full sound system now one video option you have is motion pro now this option allows you to reduce any blur on screen so that you have a really smooth picture and this really looks awesome if you don't like to have all that extra motion blur while you're watching a video now i wasn't able to test out motion pro now this feature only does work on hdmi inputs so you can't use the built-in apps and nothing i have does support that now in the picture settings you do have all kinds of options that you can adjust the picture too so they do have their built-in recommended options but you have a lot of different options available where you can do the best power saving option you have the vivid option cinema and so many more that you can select from and in the settings there's all kinds of different things that you can adjust to make the picture quality just look perfect for your home now i don't have a next-gen console yet but i do have a pretty good computer so i did pull out my computer and plug it in and wow i could not believe my computer could produce some images that looked so amazing so let's go ahead and test out forza horizon 4. now as soon as i loaded up the computer it automatically switched to game optimizer so this enables the g-sync option so that you can have some amazing gameplay while you're using an nvidia graphics card so here i have an rtx 2060. now once the g-sync was enabled we began playing and i was just blown away by what the oled was able to show while gaming on this once i got in the game i did go in and adjust any settings making sure it was set to 4k here i'm able to only output 60 frames per second with my graphics card and then i also enabled hdr and this just looks outstanding now a few other things the c1 supports is amd freesync and hdmi vrr now honestly i don't know exactly what those do so please let me know in the comments below so that i can know exactly how awesome those features are it also has a one millisecond response time which is extremely low now i did mention before but each hdmi port does have hdmi 2.1 so that's the latest standard and the fastest transfer rate so if you buy any of the new next-gen gaming consoles they will be able to support that on this tv and you will have the best picture quality that is available now one more thing about gaming is you can download the twitch app directly on the oled tv so you can stream all the online gaming right from the app we have now been using the lg oled for about a month and we are incredibly impressed by what it can do i absolutely love this oled technology how you can have the perfect blacks but then you have a wide range of colors so every video just looks amazing and really stands out versus any other tv that i've owned now one thing i've come to notice on built-in smart tv interfaces is even though they have really great processors the interface is sometimes laggy and that is no different here with the lg 65c one now it's not really a deal breaker here but every once in a while i'll click on something or it just takes a little bit longer to load but where i really notice that the processor stands out and maybe that's what the processor is really for is when i'm streaming anything sometimes on other tvs i've noticed a lot of artifacting around different things and i noticed this a lot in cartoons that my kids are watching but while watching those here on the 65c1 i saw none of that so it is able to pull in that stream and process it to make it look amazing and upscaler or whatever it's doing to give an absolute excellent picture quality even while streaming different data so even though maybe it's a little bit laggy here and there on the software interface when you're watching videos there is no lag there there's no buffering or anything while that is going on and the picture quality is just very crisp like you would want to see in a next-gen tv so if you are in the market for a brand new tv and you want something with the latest standards i can highly recommend the 65 c1 as it's going to be great for gaming watching videos and just casual tv watching if you do have any further questions about this tv please let me know in the comments below also check out the tv in the description to see all the full details now if you do want to see my samsung q90t qled review you can check out that video right here thank you so much for watching we'll see you on the next onetoday we're going to take a look at the 2021 edition of the lg oled c1 this is a 4k smart tv with oled technology built in it has game i did go in and adjust any settings making sure it was set to 4k here i'm able to only output 60 frames per second with my graphics card and then i also enabled hdr and this just looks outstanding now a few other things the c1 supports is amd freesync and hdmi vrr now honestly i don't know exactly what those do so please let me know in the comments below so that i can know exactly how awesome those features are it also has a one millisecond response time which is extremely low now i did mention before but each hdmi port does have hdmi 2.1 so that's the latest standard and the fastest transfer rate so if you buy any of the new next-gen gaming consoles they will be able to support that on this tv and you will have the best picture quality that is available now one more thing about gaming is you can download the twitch app directly on the oled tv so you can stream all the online gaming right from the app we have now been using the lg oled for about a month and we are incredibly impressed by what it can do i absolutely love this oled technology how you can have the perfect blacks but then you have a wide range of colors so every video just looks amazing and really stands out versus any other tv that i've owned now one thing i've come to notice on built-in smart tv interfaces is even though they have really great processors the interface is sometimes laggy and that is no different here with the lg 65c one now it's not really a deal breaker here but every once in a while i'll click on something or it just takes a little bit longer to load but where i really notice that the processor stands out and maybe that's what the processor is really for is when i'm streaming anything sometimes on other tvs i've noticed a lot of artifacting around different things and i noticed this a lot in cartoons that my kids are watching but while watching those here on the 65c1 i saw none of that so it is able to pull in that stream and process it to make it look amazing and upscaler or whatever it's doing to give an absolute excellent picture quality even while streaming different data so even though maybe it's a little bit laggy here and there on the software interface when you're watching videos there is no lag there there's no buffering or anything while that is going on and the picture quality is just very crisp like you would want to see in a next-gen tv so if you are in the market for a brand new tv and you want something with the latest standards i can highly recommend the 65 c1 as it's going to be great for gaming watching videos and just casual tv watching if you do have any further questions about this tv please let me know in the comments below also check out the tv in the description to see all the full details now if you do want to see my samsung q90t qled review you can check out that video right here thank you so much for watching we'll see you on the next one\n"
