The 3D Mark Benchmark: A Comprehensive Comparison of Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia ZR, and Samsung Galaxy S3
In this video, Ranit from Tas.com takes on the task of comparing the performance of three popular smartphones: Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia ZR, and Samsung Galaxy S3. The test is conducted using the 3D Mark Benchmark, a widely used tool for measuring gaming performance.
As Ranit explains, the 3D Mark Benchmark is an outdated tool, but it provides valuable insights into the gaming capabilities of each device. To run the benchmark, Ranit disables the volume on two of the devices, the Xperia ZL and Galaxy S3, to ensure that they are not distracting during the test.
The devices are then placed in a specific configuration, with the Samsung Galaxy S4 positioned in the middle. The Benchmark is then activated, and the process begins. As the benchmark runs, Ranit notes that it can take some time to complete, as it tests various aspects of the device's performance.
During the wait, Ranit comments on the different screen technologies used by each device. The Xperia ZL features an LCD screen with Bravia Engine technology, while the Samsung Galaxy S4 boasts a 1080p Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy S3 also has a Super AMOLED screen, but its performance is significantly lower than that of the other two devices.
Once the benchmark is complete, Ranit reveals the scores for each device. The Galaxy S4 achieves a score of 10,000 and 228, which is considered good news as it indicates that the device is among the most powerful on the market. The Xperia ZL scores slightly lower, with a score of 9,166, but still demonstrates impressive performance.
The demo score for the Galaxy S4 reveals an additional level of performance, with a value of 44.8 FPS. Ranit notes that this is a notable achievement and demonstrates the device's capabilities in real-world scenarios.
In contrast, the Galaxy S3 scores a significantly lower amount, with a score of 269 T. Although this may not seem like a significant difference, Ranit explains that the S3 is an older model and therefore its performance is naturally lower than that of newer devices.
Throughout the video, Ranit provides valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each device, highlighting their respective features and capabilities. He also takes time to explain the results of the benchmark, providing detailed information on what each score means and how it relates to real-world use cases.
In conclusion, this video provides a comprehensive comparison of the Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia ZR, and Samsung Galaxy S3 using the 3D Mark Benchmark. By examining the performance of each device, Ranit has provided valuable insights into their respective strengths and weaknesses, helping viewers make informed decisions when choosing their next smartphone.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is ranit from tas.com and in this video we're going to do the 3D Mark Benchmark for the Samsung Galaxy S4 I had already done the benchmarking for the Samsung Galaxy S4 but uh for what do you say gaming I run the Nina Mark 2 and yes it's an outdated Benchmark as of now so we're going to run the 3D Mark Benchmark on all these phones and this is the Sony xeria ZR which has a quadcore processor the Samsung Galaxy S4 the 1 and half is the octacore version and this is the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is again a quadcore version so let's run 3D Mark test on all of these and I ran it on the Sony xeria a bit later and we're going to use this run ice storm uh Benchmark uh on all of them 1 2 and three I've disabled the I'm going to disable the volume for uh these two that is Xperia ZL and the Galaxy uh S3 and let's place the phones like the this let me adjust the camera angles a little bit the sound is coming just from the uh what do you say Galaxy S4 which is in the middle and Benchmark is as you can see running on all these three actually this Benchmark does take quite some time to complete again this Benchmark is uh primarily for gaming because this uh test the gaming performance of the phone also just look at the screens because the screen technology is a bit different uh the Xperia ZL has the uh LCD screen but it has the Bravia Engine again the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a 1080p panel and that super amulet and again the S3 is also super amulet so it seems like the Galaxy S4 and Xperia ZL are neck to neck it's just a second or so or difference but again as we can see the Galaxy S3 uh is uh really far behind in the benchmarks as of now again this Benchmark is going to take some time to complete so I'll just quickly skip to the uh scores now and the bench marking is almost done the Galaxy S4 finished almost uh 1 to 2 seconds before the Xperia ZL and first let's look at the score of this uh Galaxy S4 uh and we get a score of 10,000 uh 228 and it says good news this is one of the most powerful devices around and everything seems to work normally and these are the detailed scores and uh here it gives some uh what do you say bench Mark results it says that LG nexus4 got a score of 10,176 and our Galaxy S4 that's the Octo version got a score of 10,44 uh and the demo score is 44.8 FPS so let's look at the score that the xeria ZL got and as we can see the score that it got was 9,166 again it says good news this is one of the most powerful device around and everything seems to work normally and uh in the demo FPS we got a FPS of 49.3 FPS that's a little bit higher and again uh it says the overall score that we got is 9,427 uh the Galaxy S4 got a slightly higher score as you can see let me just scroll down 10,228 for the Galaxy S4 and 9,166 for the xeria ZL and now if we move to the Galaxy S3 we got a score of 269 T which again is not impressive as these phones but again this is almost a year old model and it says your score is good for this device but there are more powerful models available and in the demo uh we got a fpf score of 15.7 FPS so again I hope you found this video helpful that's it for now I'll be doing a lot more coverage on this uh Galaxy S4 I'll also be doing some actual gaming on this with this Galaxy S4 so stay tuned to my channel that's it for now this this is ranit from tas.com
