My Massive iPhone 13 Pro Unboxing!

Setting Up and Testing the New iPhone Features

While we're setting up our new iPhones, let's test out some of those cool features that Apple has introduced this time around. We've got Photographic Styles, which allows us to choose a style for our photos when we take them. This is perfect for someone who wants to take a photo and then edit it later to match their vibe. With Photographic Styles, you can set up a style and choose from presets that Apple provides, or even make some tweaks to customize it further.

For example, let's take a picture of my boy Trunks. We've got Super Saiyan Trunks over here, and we're using the new Photographic Style called "Rich Contrast Boom Standard Jay." I'm going to turn up the brightness real quick because this style looks amazing. As you can see, the quality is top-notch, and the camera is doing a great job of switching lenses automatically. What's also cool about this feature is that every time we take a picture, it applies the style to all of our shots.

Let's try out some more features with Trunks as our subject. We've got a macro shot of him wearing the Capsule Corp logo, which is pretty much like my own logo if you look at it closely. The quality is still amazing, and the camera is doing a great job of focusing on tiny details like this.

Moving on to some other features, let's try out Cinematic Mode. This feature gives us a rack focus effect where we can see the subject move in and out of focus. It looks really cool! We'll have to test it out more later, but for now, let's just enjoy the fact that it's available.

We're almost done with the camera features, so let's save our thoughts for the full review. But before we do, let's talk about some other stuff in here. We've got cases galore, and they're still MagSafe-compatible. You can also access the inside look of your case, which is a little different this time around. The camera hump is very different, so you'll need to buy a new case if you want it to work with the new iPhone.

One small detail that I noticed is that the lip of the case doesn't cover the trim of the phone anymore. It's just a tiny detail, but it's a change that Apple has made this time around. We also have the leather wallet, which features MagSafe and has some new smarter features.

The Leather Wallet still works pretty much the same way as before, but now you can sign in with your Apple ID to keep track of where it is if you misplace it. This feature is really useful because it gives you an alert after about a minute or so that the wallet is not connected. It's also battery-free, but it still tracks its location and lets you know where you last took it off.

We've got lots of goodness to cover in our next video, so be sure to let us know which ones you're most interested in seeing a review on first. Thanks for watching, and we'll catch you in the next one!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's going on guys it's your average consumer and today as you can tell by your sub box it's iphone day so over here we got a big old box for the iphone 13s you guys so it's going to be a little massive iphone unboxing video for you uh now which iphone should we open first carl 13. so we go mini start off small okay all right cool so we got the 13 mini we'll jump right into it this is the blue right oh this is black no this is the black one it looks blue on the box the box is like the blue that we have yeah right it looks like the pacific blue almost and with the 13 mini and 13 there are gonna be five colors pink blue midnight starlight and product red interestingly enough this is the midnight color okay so they they stepped away from just black and now they have midnight which is kind of like a really dark navy blue but yes this is the mini i'm gonna pop off the paper here there we go now overall this pretty much shares the same body as the previous iphone 12 mini but this one has much larger cameras you can see the camera lenses here are definitely bigger than last year's model and they are in this diagonal shape now and something else that they did they moved the speaker grille from like the center all the way to the top of the phone so that's something we're going to see across all of the new iphones um but one thing that they also changed here you guys and let's see this in person let's turn this thing on oh nice oh so there's like a background now uh but something that they did you guys is they shaved off 20 of the notch and i think it got ever ever so slightly deeper so it goes down a little bit more not anything we're gonna notice at all but it did get a little bit squished in which is nice because we get more screen real estate okay so this is the mini let's take a look at what else we get inside of you know i can't leave it on its face like that let's see what else we get on inside the box we've got the usbc to lightning cable so unfortunately you guys we're still rocking lightning cables it fast charges so you know you can still juice up really quickly uh but i know everybody's kind of waiting for usbc to take over not this year so we have this and we have our paperwork over here sim ejector tool and just a white apple sticker so small too i never realized that the mini gets these like miniature apple stickers anything else in the box that's it carl there's there's no charger included since apple's trying to be environmentally friendly but you know who does have chargers anchor now something you're not going to see throughout the rest of this video you guys is a charging brick we know apple stopped including them in the box because they want to reduce e-waste but anker has your back they've got the anker nano pro which is available and this is definitely one of my favorite chargers because it's so compact you can throw this thing in your pocket in your bag and you still get access to 20 watt charging which is the full speed to get your iphone from zero to 50 percent in like 25 minutes and that's like three times faster than the chargers that the iphones used to come with and this thing includes anker's active shield technology which includes a dynamic temperature sensor and a power tuner chip that allows you to get the fastest and smartest charge and because this thing also has anker's power iq 3.0 if you don't have an iphone it'll pretty much work with any other smartphone as well and now these little guys come in four different colors they've got glacier blue cool lavender arctic white and black ice so you can pick whichever one fits your vibe but if you guys want to learn more about the anchor nano pro i'll have links down below in the description so get a huge shout out to them for sponsoring today's video but let's move on now we said we're gonna go for the 13 right this is blue you guys it's quite obvious so pretty standard experience you know we've got the super flat case so that means there's not a lot going on in here we've got the phone which is it's a nice blue this feels like an ocean blue that's what i get from this but it looks really really good i think i like this blue better than last year's model so this is cool but this is just like the iphone 13 mini where it's overall the same actual body as last year except for the cameras of course these being bigger and more improved and now in the diagonal shape now something that both the iphone 13 and 13 mini share now are improved wide angle sensors with apple's new sensor shift technology that was a feature we saw on the 12 pro max and basically that's apple's in-body stabilization for their sensor so that it can go ahead and get better low-light photography you know better stabilization through video so we've got really nice improved cameras here uh and this should be fun to test out in a real day in the life see how good the quality is gonna be for even the cheaper models on the iphone lineup but i'm curious how many of you guys are gonna be going for one of these instead of the pro models uh this one's going to retail for 6.99 while this guy is going for 7.99 so are these going to be the ones you pick up instead of the pro models let me know with a comment down below but that's pretty much it for what these are uh let's take a look at what the pro models have to offer all right all right let's turn it on carl's trying to make me feel bad without a case seeing this from the front do you see how those blue edges look that is a clean looking phone yeah carl shout out to carl for making me be thorough now this is the iphone that arie wants to get her hands on so this is the gold 13 pro now this gold is supposed to be very different compared to last year and i'm seeing it that's one thing apple's gold iphones look luxury i'm not gonna lie when it comes to like their pro models it looks so luxurious so this gold is pretty different compared to last year's it's a bit lighter on the inside trim is obviously still very gold it overall feels like a bit brighter it feels like a lighter version of gold but guys can we take a second and look at these camera lenses they're massive so over here i've got my 12 pro max in the best color apple ever made and this is the difference in terms of the sizes of the lenses now why is this a bigger deal right well when you've got like these bigger camera lenses over here what we're going to be getting from this is more light more light is going to be able to come into the camera lenses and that means better quality photos so i believe the ultrawide is supposed to take in 92 percent more light which is a huge deal but something that's also interesting about the ultra wide camera lens is that you're able to use it as a macro lens we'll do a quick test of like some of these camera features because there are quite a few in here and the telephoto lens has a three times optical zoom with a 77 millimeter focal length so you're gonna get even tighter shots so it's going to be a little bit more zoomed in compared to last year and when it comes to the regular wide-angle lens we are getting better low-light photography here as well apple claims that this is their biggest jump in camera quality yet so i'm very interested in testing this out you know you know jay and i will all right so let's turn this bad boy on crazy right oh and it's smashing my gold today what um carl you like that you don't think so you're a hater so one thing i've been hoping for since all of the new phones have a 20 smaller notch i kind of want to see if there's enough space to get battery percentage on there i don't i want to get my hopes up i don't think there's going to be any more space for that but a man can dream right and here we've got it guys the big boy the iphone 13 pro max in the sierra blue color it's not pacific blitz sierra blue but let's take a look at it let's see what okay it's nice it's a nice blue i won't take that away from them wow don't you think it looks better okay so i'm about to put it down and start fighting right now baldur's aside this blue is really nice if you're looking for like a lighter like powder blue uh this is definitely that but yeah this is the big boy the 6.7 inch screen this is the one with the biggest battery life that apple has ever had on an iphone so this is supposed to be up to two and a half more hours of battery life whereas the 12 pro it gets another one and a half extra battery this is a two and a half hours and it's another one and a half hours so they all got pretty large battery bumps but of course if you guys want to see how it actually works in the real world when we do our real day in the life test make sure you're subscribed to the channel turn on your notifications and look out for that content coming soon so this is pretty much our lineup you guys we've got our iphone 13 mini 13 13 pro 13 pro max so i've got the pro max over there transferring everything from my current iphone you know that whole process oh jay really going to do me like that right now jay so your boy was what got home got out the car had his phone in his hand it dramatically just flipped out my hand i was trying to catch it landed face first on some concrete even with a screen protector it is uh pretty finito so anyhoo more importantly jay we've got the iphone 13 and the iphone 13 pro over here one of the big differences between the 13 and the 13 pro is that the 13 pro has pro motion what does that mean basically the refresh rate of this screen is adaptive and it will now go from 10 hertz when it's not really doing anything intensive all the way up to 120 when you are swiping through and doing all kinds of things on the phone so instead of just throwing 120 at it at all times which would impact battery life this is going to intelligently do it right when you need it now it's something that's pretty hard to translate through cameras but we'll do some like slow motion shots so that you guys can see just how smooth this one is in comparison uh to the standard one so it's what we've been waiting for you guys it's finally here and it looks like apple did a pretty good implementation of it now i'm going to test this feature out a little bit more in the real day and the life review but okay so while this one's like setting up we might as well test out some of those cool features with this pro over here so we got photographic styles you can basically choose a style for your photos when you take them so in case you were someone who'd like to take a photo and then maybe edit it later so that it can match your vibe the style that you like to give instead you can have photographic styles where you set up a style you have a couple of presets that apple provides but i believe you're also able to go ahead and make some tweaks you can change the tone you can change the warmth and then you can go ahead and take your shot so let's take a picture of my boy trunks all right so we've got super saiyan trunks over here we've got one of these new styles on here this is the rich contrast boom standard jay i'm sorry i gotta turn the brightness up real quick man i'm gonna live in rich contrast this is amazing and what's nice about this whole photographic style is every time i just pull out my phone and i go to take a picture it's gonna apply that to all of my shots so i'm super stoked about that and man the quality oh you can see it's switching lenses real quick it's doing is doing it automatically hold on what's that oh it's switching over to the macro so why that's interesting is because you don't see it jump to that point five but anywho we're getting a little too deep into these settings and features right now i just wanna take one nice quick uh macro shot though so trunks is wearing the capsule corp logo which is pretty much like my logo if you kind of look at it which is nuts still in focus too two centimeters and it looks clean okay i'm going to really enjoy testing out this camera we're spending a lot of time on this but man okay camera features all that oh i guess the cinematic mode real quick hold on hold on jay uh carl move the camera away from your face real quick okay jumped a little bit back and forth it did it oh yeah you're making it you made it work there for a second but it did it so that's cinematic mode where it gives you this rack focus kind of effect where you can see it go from one subject to another we're gonna have to test that out a little bit more but man that's it's cool okay enough's enough we're done with the camera for now we'll save our thoughts for the full review uh we'll let you guys know how it actually works out uh but we've got some other stuff in here as well you guys already know cases galore they're still mag safe you still have access to that inside looks a little bit different so before they had like this ring now just kind of looks like little imprints and if you were curious about whether or not your phone case with your 12 or 12 pro would work on the new ones while the body is largely the same the camera hump is very different so the size of that square is different as you can see it's not letting me put it on oh man yeah carl so you gotta buy a new case so something i noticed that's a little bit different with the case this time around is that the lip doesn't cover the trim of the phone that's a very it's a small small detail but that's new and we've also got the leather wallet that features magsafe that's cool about this leather wall is that it still pretty much functions the same so you can attach it it knows that the leather wallet is there but you can see now you have a setup button so you can continue basically what you would do is you sign in with your apple id and it'll basically with find my keep track of the wallet that's kind of important it makes sense because if you misplace your wallet you want to know the last place you had it now this doesn't have batteries or anything but it does give off the location where you last took it off and then it'll even give you an alert that it's not connected i think after about a minute or so so you've got some new smarter features with the leather wallets if you are one of those people who use it so uh yeah that that's pretty much it those are all the new iphones we've got we've got lots of goodness to cover you guys so which ones are you guys most interested in seeing a review on first let me know with a comment down below but that about wraps it up for this video guys if you enjoyed it be the cool guy girl that gives this video a thumbs up tomorrow we should have some more coverage on the latest announcements from apple but till then it's your average consumer peacewhat's going on guys it's your average consumer and today as you can tell by your sub box it's iphone day so over here we got a
