Intel's Latest Eighth Generation Processors: A Game-Changer for Finan-Like Ultrabooks

Intel's latest eighth generation processors are making waves in the tech industry, particularly among ultrabook manufacturers. These powerful quad-core processors offer faster graphics and longer battery lives, making them an attractive option for those seeking a balance between performance and portability.

The Dell XPS 13 is one of the first ultrabooks to adopt these new processors, and it's clear that they're making a significant impact. Despite the design not appearing to have changed, the new XPS 13 is up to 44% faster than its predecessor thanks to the power of Intel's eighth generation processors. With the ability to reach speeds of up to 78550 U, this ultrabook can handle even the most demanding tasks with ease.

One of the standout features of the new XPS 13 is its stunning display, which fits comfortably inside an 11-inch body due to a super-thin infinity edge bezel. This allows for a more compact and lightweight design, making it easier to carry around. The quad-HD Plus glossy touchscreen model is particularly impressive, offering a superior viewing experience.

However, the new XPS 13 does come with some caveats. Battery life takes a hit due to the increased power consumption of the eighth generation processors. Additionally, the webcam placement remains at the lower left of the screen, which may take some getting used to during video calls. Nevertheless, both the XPS 13 and its bigger brother are among my favorite laptops, with more updates expected in 2018.

The Swift 3 is another laptop that has benefited from Intel's eighth generation processors. Reviewing the older model earlier this year, I stated it was one of the best laptops available for around £500-£600. The good news is that the new Swift 3 offers a refresh design and the latest processors, with prices expected to be in the £700 region. Despite the increased cost, I still believe it offers tremendous value compared to its competitors.

The Swift 3 packs the latest i5 and i7 chips along with up to 8 gigs of RAM and 512 gigabytes of storage. Users get a 14-inch full HD screen, a 10-hour battery life, and a range of ports. The laptop also features an all-metal design, fingerprint reader, and Windows Hello supported webcam. This is one of the most premium laptops available on the market, making it a great option for those seeking the best.

However, not everyone may appreciate the relatively bulky size of this laptop due to its unique hinge that allows use as a tablet. Moreover, some individuals might find the price too steep. Nevertheless, if you're looking for the best of the best, this is an excellent choice.

The Microsoft Surface Book 2 takes the prize for being one of the most expensive laptops available on the market, starting at £1,500 and potentially going up to twice that amount due to its unique features. However, despite the hefty price tag, users do get a fair bit for their money. The laptop comes with an integrated 1050 graphics card, eighth gen Intel AI 5 right 7 chips, and up to 16 gigs of RAM.

The Surface Book 2 also boasts a dedicated graphics card that will make a big difference in tasks like video editing or gaming. It also features the unique hinge that allows use as a tablet, making it an excellent option for those seeking versatility. Moreover, the precision trackpad, high-resolution screen, and great battery life are all notable benefits.

However, not everyone may appreciate the bulky size of this laptop due to its unique design. Some individuals might find the price too expensive. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a top-of-the-line laptop that offers everything, this is an excellent choice.

The HP Spectre 13 is another ultrabook that has adopted Intel's eighth generation processors. This super-thin and lightweight laptop boasts a stunning 13-inch 4K touchscreen display with thin bezels, making it an attractive option for those seeking portability without sacrificing performance.

The Spectre 13 packs in the latest quad-core processors into a chassis that is just 10.4mm thick and weighs only 1.1 kilograms. This means users can carry their laptop around comfortably without feeling weighed down. The display itself features a high-resolution screen, making it perfect for multimedia tasks or everyday use.

One notable benefit of this ultrabook is its ability to handle demanding tasks with ease due to the power of Intel's eighth generation processors. Additionally, the battery life should be more than sufficient for most users' needs.

However, one potential drawback is that the late 2017 model of the Asus Zenbook 3 has some things going for it too - a stylish design, excellent display, and solid performance thanks to new i7 processors. The 14-inch full HD display may not have the highest resolution compared to other laptops but should still help with battery life.

This particular ultrabook is slightly larger and thicker than the Zenbook 3 but still manages to be lightweight and portable. It also boasts an all-metal design, fingerprint reader, and Windows Hello supported webcam, making it a great option for those seeking performance without sacrificing aesthetics.

The Asus Zenbook 3 offers a range of benefits that make it stand out from other ultrabooks on the market. With its stylish design, excellent display, and solid performance, this is definitely worth considering if you're in the market for a new laptop.

In conclusion, Intel's eighth generation processors are making waves among ultrabook manufacturers, offering faster graphics and longer battery lives. The Dell XPS 13, Swift 3, Microsoft Surface Book 2, HP Spectre 13, and Asus Zenbook 3 all offer impressive features and benefits that make them stand out from the competition.

While there may be some drawbacks to each model - such as increased power consumption or price - these laptops are undoubtedly top-of-the-line options for those seeking performance without sacrificing portability. Whether you're looking for a premium laptop like the Surface Book 2 or something more affordable, there's an option here that should suit your needs and budget.

stylish and lightweight design excellent display and solid performance thanks to the new i7 processors the 14 inch full HD display isn't the highest resolution compared to say the HP Spectre but it should help the battery last even longer the deluxe is a little bit larger and a little bit thicker than the Zenbook 3 but it's still really compact and the extra room means the keyboard feels a lot better and I think overall build quality has been improved so those are my top 5 thin and light laptops that come with Intel's latest processors but honorable mentions go to the updated razor blade
