**The Fastest American Cars: A Look at Tesla's Plaid, Zinger 21c, and Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170**
Oh really now the demon is in response to the question of what's the fastest American car ever made? It gets its 0-60 time down real low because it used a prep surface to hit that time. This next car this person could say as an ego wants to go into space, you can even say he wanted to build the fastest American car ever made.
Bill Gates, close my dad's joby's daddy Elon Musk now Tesla had very specific guidelines when getting a 0-60 time when they debuted their new car, the Model S Plaid. Named after a dumb joke from a 35-year-old movie that a 50-year-old thought was peak comedy - what's that movie? Spaceballs, that's it.
The Plaid boasts 1020 horsepower, that's a lot! Hopping in your plaid and matching on the accelerator pedal is it enough to achieve Tesla's claims of getting from 0-60 in under 10 seconds? You need to put it in part navigate mode to the drag strip through the infotainment system. Then you wait for about 10 to 15 minutes for your car to prep itself for the brutal launch that's insane!
10 to 15 minutes, I ain't got time for that! Yeah, so the batteries in the motor are cooled, then it lowers into cheetah stance. They got a name for everything, and if you launch it correctly, you can pilot your pad with 60 mph in just one point nine, eight seconds - whoa! First time we're going to the hundredies!
Tesla probably calls it Insanity mode, mental facility mode, who knows? But you know what? There's another car on the list that's a bit sicker and a little bit faster. Oh really is it the Zinger 21c V-Max?
First off, it was developed with the help of AI - it's 3D printed! It features a twin turbo 2.8 liter V8 plus two electric motors altogether, all the motors make 1250 horsepower and it red lines at 11,000 RPM - yeah that's awesome singing now!
Would you believe this car scoots up to 60 miles an hour and only 1.88 seconds? Ten faster than the Tesla S Plaid, okay! We've finally made it to the last car on the list, and just like Chekhov's gone, we mentioned it in the beginning.
If you would have been paying attention, you'd know the car we're talking about is the new 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170. Bigger and better than ever! The demon 170 gets its new name from the fact that it runs on E85 and E85 is 170-proof. The 2018 demon boasted 840 horsepower, but the new one tops that at 1025 horsepower - four figures baby!
It features the same 6.2 liter supercharged Hemi V8 as the last, a demon is, is the most powerful of Dodge's Last Call series. These are all V8 Challengers and Chargers meant to celebrate the end of the internal combustion era.
The series includes the Black Ghost Challenger with rookie, an alley - yeah, charger King Daytona, another Florida cool attack charger, and Challenger Swingers also from Florida. We have the charger Super B and the Challenger Shakedown, that's a bunch of cool names but the winner is by far the demon with 1025 horsepower and a 0-60 time of an insane 1.6 seconds - I didn't even know you could do that dude!
You don't need a couple million bucks to go sub two - that's the thing, starts at a hundred and three thousand dollars to go 1.6 seconds! That's crazy! You could just buy that, anybody could just buy that, and do that - that's a weapon.
We should buy one of those! Those are some fast American cars, and I can only imagine what's going to happen down the road with electric. Think we could ever get into the negative seconds? Do you go back in time? Yeah, probably!
