**Unboxing the Google LG Nexus 5x**
The brand new Google and Nexus 5x has finally arrived at our doorstep, and we're one of the first to unbox it on YouTube. A big thumbs up to you guys for tuning in to this exciting moment!
As we take a look at the box, we can see that it's a plain white box with a sleeve covering the front. The LG logo and Android logo are prominently displayed on the sleeve, along with an image of the Nexus 5x on the back. We also have a picture of the Nexus X alongside the Nexus 5x logo, but we won't waste any time getting straight to the unboxing.
We'll start by removing the sleeve, and speed up the process slightly while we take a closer look at what else is inside the box. Our first stop is the leaflet that comes with the device. This leaflet has some graphic information about Google Play Music, which we'll pause for you to have a look. You can pause this video if you'd like to take a better look.
Moving on, we now have our SIM card ejector tool and safety and warranty information in this mini package. The power brick is also included, which is a three-pin power brick specifically designed for the UK market. What's interesting about this is that it has a single USB Type-C input, which is located on the side of the device, not on the back as you'd usually expect.
We finally have our USB Type-C cable, which has both sides reversible. However, we do need to note that this means you won't be able to use this with your Nexus 5x if you have any power bricks from other devices, such as those with standard USB inputs.
Now, let's get straight to the device itself, which is in this plastic sleeve. Unfortunately, there are no screen protectors included, so you won't get that satisfying sound when removing the plastic covering. Up front, we have a 5.2-inch full HD display. It appears that there are two front-facing speakers, but they're actually just a single speaker located at the bottom of the device.
Up top, we have an earpiece and a five-megapixel front-facing camera. We can also see the LG logo and Nexus logo on the back of the device, along with the fingerprint sensor. This fingerprint sensor is positioned at the rear of the device, which means you'll need to pick up the device in order to unlock it.
We also have a 12.3-megapixel rear-facing camera, which we're really interested to see how this performs against the competition. We believe that this is the same sensor used on the Nexus 6p, and with the addition of an infrared laser, we should be able to get some impressive autofocus results.
Moving on to the sides and bottom of the device, we have a single microphone on the bottom, as well as a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack and USB Type-C inputs on the right-hand side. The power button and volume rocker are located on the left-hand side of the device, while the SIM card tray is easily accessible at the top.
Let's now give this a first boot and take a look at the Android marshmallow animation that comes with the device. As you can see, we have the latest version of Android, and the great thing about Nexus devices is that you'll be getting the latest updates directly from Google. You won't need to wait for any other third parties.
We'll now quickly skip through all the settings screens they are pretty straightforward and standard. Let's go in and see the marshmallow animation up close. We have the marshmallow logo, and tapping on it a few times will reveal the flappy bird-style game that we also had with lollipop. This is what we can expect to see when this device comes out of the box.
