**How to Make a Festive Gross Grain Ribbon Multicolor Flower**

Welcome to SimpleKidsCrafts.com! Today, we’re going to show you how to create a festive multicolor ribbon flower using easy-to-find materials. This arts and crafts project is perfect for kids of all ages and makes a great DIY gift or decoration.

---

### Materials Needed:

- 20 pieces of grosgrain ribbon (about 2 inches each)

- A small piece of foam fabric, cardboard, or cloth

- 1 medium plastic button

- Glue (hot glue gun or fabric glue works best)

- Scissors

- Optional: beads or plastic gems

---

### Step-by-Step Instructions:

#### **1. Prepare the Ribbon Pieces**

Start by gathering your materials. You’ll need 20 pieces of grosgrain ribbon, each about 2 inches long. Take one piece of ribbon and cut it to size if needed. Repeat this process until you have all 20 pieces ready.

---

#### **2. Create Petal Shapes**

Take each piece of ribbon and fold the tips together. Apply a small amount of glue to secure the folded edges. Overlap the folded tips to form a petal shape. Do this for every single ribbon piece, creating as many petals as needed.

---

#### **3. Prepare the Foam Circle Base**

Cut a circle out of your foam fabric or cardboard. The size of the circle depends on how big you want your flower to be. For this project, we’re cutting ours about 2 inches in diameter. Use a dot of glue to attach each petal around the edge of the foam circle, spacing them evenly.

---

#### **4. Add Color and Texture**

Continue attaching petals until your entire foam circle is filled with colorful ribbon pieces. Try placing opposite colors next to each other for a vibrant, festive look. Once you’ve added all the petals, move on to the next step.

---

#### **5. Layering and Center Decorations**

Apply a bit of glue in the center of your flower. Fold another piece of ribbon and attach it to the middle, creating additional layers. You can add more petals or use beads and plastic gems for extra texture and elegance. In this example, we’re using plastic beads to give our flower a classic look.

---

#### **6. Attach the Button**

Once the center is complete, apply glue to secure a medium-sized plastic button in the middle of the flower. This serves as the center piece and adds charm to your design.

---

#### **7. Final Touches**

Your flower is almost ready! Let the glue dry completely before handling it. Once it’s set, you can use your flower as a decoration for gifts, headbands, or hair clips. In this project, we’re attaching our flower to a small comb for a fun hair accessory.
