READING VLOG l Summer Biannual Biblithon Day Five.

The Excitement of Reading: Day Five of the Summer Biannual Bibliothon

I'm really excited for Artemis Fowl, I never read the book but it's blurbed by the author of Artemis Fowl as the fantasy book of the year so I'm very very interested in it and then I am also going to be picking up Hocus-Pocus and the All New Sequel. Yeah is there an author okay it is written by Aw Champa and it's based on the screenplay and story by you know Hocus-pocus for the last couple of times that I walked into Bertha Noble I've seen this book over and over and over again and it seems so interesting so I thought this entire book was a sequel do you hope to focus but it turns out it is like the first third of it it's just like a novelization of Hocus-Pocus and the rest of it is like a sequel following their children which is somewhat weird but also interesting. You have to be honest I have very low expectations for this book I just feel like publishing a sequel to an absolutely iconic film like 20 years later and choosing to do it in a young adult fiction format it's just a recipe for disaster but I couldn't help the fact that I'm really interested like I've loved Hocus-pocus since I was a child I remember watching on the babysitter and just wanting to be Danny for like every day of my life it was really dope so I definitely plan on picking this up around Halloween and I'm really interested to see what I think of it I really hope that it's really good but I'm just not expecting it.

It's 1:30 in the morning on day six of the biannual bibliothon and I am not ready for bed at all and I have not read since leaving Barnes Noble I have spent the last three and a half hours working on a video plan because I have to film videos tomorrow I have nothing to post for the week after the billionth on so I need to get some content and it's a discussion and with discussions if I do not write them all in one sitting I never finished them and I was like committed to finishing planning this video so we'll see what I think of it when it's daylight and I'm not sleep-deprived but um I'm happy with it I'm glad that I spent all this time working on it so we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

A Final Reading Update for Today

I did not listen to any more of Labyrinth Loss after leaving work I normally would listen to it on my way to therapy and on my way home or on my way to Barnstead Oh ba ba ba ba I was on the phone with my dad I was on the phone with Michael I had a little peep sesh which was really nice we just fine though I still have two full days javadi Oh book listening in seven hours and I really think that I can do it if I push through I think for the next two days I just need to be really committed to listening to my audio book while I get ready in the morning because that's at least like an hour and a half each day with this feat I listened to it on so like I'm really really confident that I can finish it I just have to like make it a priority from here on out um

The Complexity of Crazy Rich Asians

I did read more in Barnes Noble I'm up to page 200 something now I'm in the early stages of the 200 pages but just again it's fun I'm really liking it I feel like my view on this might be a little clouded because I went into this book having knowledge of it being a movie but I feel like it is one of those books that just reads like a movie like it is so easy for me to see this book being adapted into movie even though I haven't seen the movie yet because it's not out there's just something about it that flows really well and it's really engaging and I'm having fun with it I'm definitely starting to grasp the family of relations a little bit more I'm still not there I honestly don't know if I will ever understand all of you different family connections in this book because there are just so many characters and so many perspectives and they're all like technically second cousins and aunts and uncles and grandchildren guard mothers and it's so big and confusing but I'm doing okay with it I'm content with how much I could retain for now I know I'm just having a lot of fun with the story

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey with the pillow my name is Emma and today is day five of the summer biannual bibliothon today I'm not gonna be home until very very late I work 9:00 to 5:00 and then I have to drive to group therapy and then I'm thinking of ending the day reading at Barnes & Noble so I think it'll be a very chill day that I hope to get a lot of reading done this morning I did listen to about an hour and a half of labyrinth lost and I'm really enjoying it so far I feel like the first like big event of the story just happened and I'm interested to see it where things go but I do like them in character and I think like it's just very atmospheric I really like the way that the author describes the different things and I feel it's just really interesting and I like it so now I am going to go to work I am going to do my typical morning tasks while listening to my audio book maybe I'll try to read a little bit of crazy rich Asians while I eat my breakfast but I'm hoping today will be a really good day so it's currently almost one o'clock I'm getting ready to eat good morning I haven't read any more crazier occasions but I did listen to more of my friend lost I'm now 2 hours and 10 minutes into the audiobook same feelings as before I don't think I need to just keep repeating and I'm enjoying it this week but after I go pick up my lunch I will definitely be reading more crazier judgement so this is lunch today it is a very elaborate there are a lot of different pieces to it every time you order Chinese food I order from the same place I asked them up for a sesame chicken combo sometimes I just get sesame chicken and rice sometimes I get this bento box and every single time no matter what it is I pay anywhere from five to ten dollars to sixteen dollars and I don't know Rafi ANCA boy hello are you tired me too I'm tired too watch me watch me oh good yay so right now I'm stuck in traffic on my way to therapy for some reason my tripod will not stick on my windshield but it's somehow staying up on the window so like whatever this is fine so yes I am driving to therapy right now and I did read a little bit more at work today not as much as I would have wanted to but it was a little busy today I ended up listening to a little bit more of labyrinth lost I'm not entirely sure how much it is but I think I'm a little bit further than I was earlier this morning I can't remember I did read more of crazy rich Asians I am now 150 pages into it not that great of an increase since last time I feel like I'm reading it a little bit slower but that's very typical of me at with adult books so like I'm just taking my time there are two full days left in the read-a-thon and I'm on my last two books so I'm still feeling really good I feeling with crazy rich Asians the more I get into it the more I enjoy it like I'm starting to really grasp like more of the character relationships who everyone is see how the storylines that I've been like so destroyed in its own are 30 together and I'm really excited that we start like Rachel still hasn't I'm just waiting for it to happen because I'd like that it's gonna be the spark that really starts the story also with praise for education I kept telling myself and I started it I'm like I don't know this is necessarily a book where I've continued the series I feel like I could be okay just finishing crazy rich Asians and like not continuing unless there is a really super wild plot twist at the end because that you know I have to continue but I feel like the more I read it the more I'm like wow I could really see myself getting more too much to these characters and wanting to read more so I'm having a lot of positive thoughts about Krysia so your girl this one right here she gosh she messed her accident going to therapy because she was too busy screaming low people at the top of her lungs what a mood man what is it me or do these not look like the same book whatsoever so sales person up aren't snowball just ask me do you need help okay and I literally said no I just came here to hang out with the Shadowhunter folks I this ad thing is that that was 100% honest I literally go down the aisle the Shadowhunters just to see them and be like hey guys how you doing I love you you look great Cassie Claire should be embarrassed at this point so I'm buying bucks yeah the first book I'm going to buy is the list by Patricia Ford I initially heard about this book when I was in another Barnes & Noble with Monica boom she might be Monica and it just sounded so it was good it basically takes place in the city called arc where everyone has to speak the same 500 words in order to survive I'm sorry main character's name is Letta and she's the apprentice to the wordsmith who is the person holds the knowledge of all of the other words that have ever existed but are now forbidden and so one day when the word Smith disappears let it become senior wordsmith and she is told that she has to shorten a list that people are allowed to use make it shorter and shorter and then he boy shows up who knows all of the forbidden words that he's not supposed to and it just sounds so good I'm definitely getting a lot of giver vibes with this book I feel like it has to be an inspiration for this story but it just sounds so good and like I feel like every time I see a middle-grade book lately I'm just like I want it I need it I have to read it so I'm really excited for it I never read Artemis Fowl but it's blurbed by the author of Artemis Fowl as the fantasy book of the year so I'm very very interested in it and then I am also going to be picking up hocus-pocus and the all new at sequel yeah is there an author okay it is written by aw Champa and it's based on the screenplay
