The joys of preparing for a new baby! As I rummage through my closet, I'm surrounded by all sorts of goodies that will soon become essential items for the little bundle of joy arriving soon. My mom and dad have been incredibly supportive, helping me pick out some adorable onesies, which are basically just fancy term for "baby clothes." There's a cute little burrito with a green Little Bear on it, and I've also got some basic white socks to keep those tiny feet warm and cozy. The socks are a great addition to the collection, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll all work together to create an adorable outfit for my mini-me.
As I continue through the closet, I come across some more essentials like diapers, which will be a regular visitor to our home in the coming months. It's always exciting (and sometimes daunting) to think about all the little things we'll need to get our hands on as parents. My mom and dad are being super helpful, offering to pick up a few extra just in case we need them. And speaking of moms, I'm loving these adorable matching outfits that my mom picked out for us to wear while shopping together. It's moments like those that I'll always treasure – the pre-baby shopping trip with mom and dad.
Of course, no baby would be complete without some cute little accessories. My mom spotted this one nuk pacifier at the store, and I just couldn't resist it. I'm a bit worried about the whole binky thing, to be honest – I've heard so many different names for them over the years! But mom assures me that this is the real deal, and I'm excited to give it a try. And as if that wasn't enough, my dad came home with some butt paste for us, which I have no idea what to make of. Apparently, it's supposed to help prevent diaper rash – fingers crossed!
Now that we've got our clothes and accessories sorted out, it's time to talk about furniture. We're going to need a crib, and I'm excited to see how this one will all come together. My mom has picked out some neutral colors for the room, including a lovely green and white combination. It's amazing how quickly things can fill up in a nursery – I swear, I just put away last week's laundry and now it's overflowing again! But we'll get there – with mom and dad on board, we'll make sure everything is cozy and comfortable for our little one.
As we continue to prepare for the baby's arrival, I'm starting to feel like I'm in a full-blown baby shower myself. My parents are being super generous, picking up all sorts of goodies that will help us navigate those early days with our new little one. There are action figures and toys galore, as well as some adorable little mittens and socks to keep those tiny feet warm. And let's not forget the Star Wars onesies – I mean, who wouldn't want a little Darth Vader or Stormtrooper in their baby wardrobe?
It's also worth noting that my parents have been very supportive of our decision to prioritize the essentials over the niceties. They're right, of course – we can always add more cute socks and adorable accessories later on. But for now, it's all about getting the basics down pat. And speaking of basics, I came across this little storage container that's supposed to help us keep everything organized. My dad is a bit of an organizer at heart, so he's already got some ideas for how we can use it to our advantage.
As I wrap up this little tour of our nursery preparations, I'm feeling pretty excited about what the future holds. There are still so many unknowns, but with mom and dad by my side, I know we'll be ready for whatever comes next. And hey – even if things don't turn out exactly as planned, we can always count on each other to make it work. little as it gets older it'll need bigger ones but they're just neutral you know no girl or boy colors just neutral colors which we stuck to and and then oh I want to show you my favorite thing this is actually from Uncle Hector my brother are you ready here it is look a little boots and they're so warm too so it's perfect for the Seattle weather and it can go for a boy or girl cuz it has little bears on them that is so cute but not panda bears because Mommy is afraid of panda bears yes and by the way we are sitting in baby perillo's room right now there's not much here we don't have the the furniture I think we have an idea of what kind of furniture we want we've got a baby registry we're putting together we've got a few paintings and drawings up on the walls right now but uh those may very well change before the time comes when you're going to give birth so these are the baby's first shoes I think we'll be keeping these forever and ever I kind of want to try them on Wick it I'll wait and then we got little socks little newborn socks neutral colors too these could probably fit wi it and little green hats those cute and they come with little mittens because apparently I didn't know this but my mom said babies scratch their faces a lot they don't scratch their parents face es though well they could mostly their own so you just put little mittens on their hands so it's soft okay fine my mom got these little socks he aren't those cute so there's blue and there's pink so whatever the baby is it will wear blue or pink and then just colors so we'll always know where the baby is cuz you can't lose the baby I think wicket frustr ated cuz he wants what you have but doesn't know what you have yeah see the baby can't get lost next are little um washcloths neutral colors as well to bathe the baby with cuz the baby does need to take baths you know can't you just take it in the shower and hold it up I wish I could just lick it like cats do you could may take you a while Li it clean and then we got some swaddle blankets and neutral colors too yellow some oh there we go have little owls on them so we basically stuck to yellow green white and some gray this will make the baby nice and tight we'll swallow SW not swallow it we'll swaddle it you're talking about licking babies swallowing babies I don't know if I like where this is going and what what would you call it a husband and some leg cramp ointment to me there's really a thing called Butt Paste and it's really thick help prent treats and protects goes on and cleans off easily pleasant scent ooh for diaper rash oh yeah we'll we'll be experiencing that I mean the baby will but I will too in a couple years and leg cramp I might put this on my leg tonight that's kind of cool ointment it it's something that alleviates leg cramps it doesn't give you leg cramps that's right just wanted to clarify that yeah some people might wonder you think so yeah natural relief my natural relief for leg cramp what is it get up and walk around no when you have a leg cramp it hurts to stand on it two super soft crib sheets now all we need is a crib that's right and my mom picked out these cuz they're neutral as well so there's green and white this is pretty much a little little baby shower for my parents I feel like I'm in a baby shower and also just basic little onesies you can't have too many of these cuz they will be poop and pee coming out of the bottom and then this is really cute I likeed this you got to feel this it's nothing compared to the blanket you had growing up oh my god oh that's Heaven yeah it's a cute little blanket my family wrapped me in steel wood and we went with white just keeping it neutral very soft oh it's so soft and then just a little backup one and my mom thought of you when she got this is there a Darth Vader on it no there a giraffe on it you like giraffe isn't it cute just yellow light yellow and that's it so this is all thanks to my mom and dad mostly my mom because she helped me pick it all out and we went shopping together while in Texas we had fun doing girl stuff and buying baby all already spoiling the baby wouldn't you say no it's just beginning I know the collection will grow yeah and this is only the basic necessities no we haven't even begun to cover the Necessities these are the niceties pixie how do you feel about this our other baby stuff is in that laundry basket that's the non cool stuff what all the Star Wars stuff is in there exactly this is the cool socks see I like crazy socks so the baby W too I can't open these should I open them I think you just did like a little green one no no what it's not for me no you better not do that to the baby either what you're talking about swallowing we need Furniture to put the socks in we're not going to get like a sock Furniture it's just going to be a dresser with a whole bunch of drawers that will be organized yes because you will make sure of that on a daily basis we all have our roles people know you you should organize your office I did looks the same no it doesn't to the untrained eye Maybe the closet in this room is almost completely empty apart from some bags which we need to go through and eliminate some that we're never going to use even though we have never really used many in that stack up there and some storage containers you can see the set here on the right is empty and the set on the left is kind of full of some of the action figures that I collected when I was a kid I suppose I still have the collection obviously it's sitting in front of me I just don't know
