Suppose and Finding Out Working It Out
As we begin this trading rally, it's time to get underway and head back up towards now. We'll cross into first quick check point, which is in the old town city of Dubrovnik. Although we haven't actually been inside to take a look, we're currently standing outside with a glimpse of the old castle, Stari Grad, right in front of us. The old town literally means just that - it's like taking a quick exploration around to see what's what before we head on.
As we drive through Dubrovnik, I want to mention my rather outrageous outfit for today's adventure. I'm wearing this ludicrously bright neon orange shirt, which is part of our collection in various colors. It's also available at the tea shop if you're interested. Now that we've explored the old town, it's time to head over to Bosnia.
We're joining a singletrack road with ruins and twisting southern roads as far as the eye can see. We don't really know where these roads go, but they appear to be completely deserted. Every driver we pass is shell-shocked by our presence, wondering what on earth is going on with spaceships driving through their country. This surreal experience feels like a dream come true - it's truly an utterly ridiculous driving adventure.
We're back in Croatia now, and the Bosnia adventure has come to an end for the time being. Everyone around us seems just as perplexed by our antics as we are by them. "What on earth is this?" they seem to be asking each other as we drive through. Our excitement is palpable - it's completely ridiculous.
After a few twists and turns, we've arrived in Split, and the Sun has finally come out despite the earlier rain. We're standing at the port, where we'll soon board that rather striking blue line ferry to take us over to Italy. As for the cars, they're all here with us - four of them will be joining me on this adventure.
Now it's time to figure out how this works and get our bearings. I'm trying to determine where we are and what the road ahead looks like. This is the end of our Balkan part of this adventure, which has been truly awesome so far.
Before we embark, let's grab some snacks at a nearby shop. Proving that even in the midst of an adventure, there's always time for a quick bite. We're finally on board and ready to set sail on our overnight journey across the sea. Although it's fascinating to explore how cars work on a ferry, I'm excited to see where this trip will take us.
As we begin our journey, we should be aware of different systems used to secure the vehicles during transit. The motion detectors don't function properly on some routes, which means that batteries last longer and prevent unnecessary noise from being made by another car. There are specific locking mechanisms in place for each vehicle - including a force-activated button on the BMW that needs to be double pressed.
As we reach our destination, we'll set off towards Tuscany with high spirits. Tomorrow will mark the beginning of an exciting two-day adventure through picturesque landscapes before we reach Marseille in France. Today is our day for trading and fuel checks - it's been a pleasure having you along on this adventure so far, and I look forward to catching up again tomorrow.
Our next leg awaits us, but for now, we're taking time to unwind and appreciate the stunning scenery around us.
