**Google Music Now Available on Android**
In recent months, Google has introduced its music streaming service, Google Music, which is now available on both desktop and mobile devices. One of the most notable features of Google Music is its ability to upload your existing music library from iTunes Windows Media Player or folders, making it easy to get started.
The free version of Google Music allows you to access a vast library of songs, including some decent options for discovery. However, this may not be enough for those looking for a comprehensive music collection. Fortunately, users can now also purchase music directly through the Android Market, making it a great option for fans of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
**Pricing and Availability**
When searching for music on Google Music, you'll find that most songs are priced between $1.29, $0.69, or $0.99. The selection may not be as extensive as some other music stores, but it's still a great starting point.
To browse the available songs, simply visit the Google Music website and search for an artist or song you're interested in. You can also explore top songs and albums to discover new music.
**Artist Pages and Discovery**
One of the best features of Google Music is its comprehensive artist pages, which provide detailed information about artists, including their discography and upcoming releases.
For example, searching for Deadmau5 on Google Music reveals a decent selection of his songs, although it's worth noting that the service may not have as extensive a catalog as other music stores.
**Conclusion**
Overall, Google Music is a solid addition to the music streaming landscape, offering users a simple and convenient way to access their existing music libraries. While it may not offer the same breadth of selection as some other services, its free version and ability to purchase music directly through the Android Market make it a great option for fans of streaming services.
If you're looking for a comprehensive music collection, however, you may want to consider using Google Music in conjunction with other services like iTunes or Amazon Music. Regardless, Google Music is definitely worth checking out – especially if you have an Android device and are already invested in the Google ecosystem.
**How to get started**
To get started with Google Music, simply follow these steps:
* Download the Google Music app from the Android Market
* Sign up for a Google account (if you haven't already)
* Connect your music library from iTunes Windows Media Player or folders
* Browse and purchase music directly through the Android Market
* Explore artist pages to discover new music
Note: You can also access Google Music on desktop devices via the website.
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys so today I'm here with a demo of Google music as well as the brand new Google Music store so they just finished announcing all of this and there's some good and there's some kind of me but we'll go ahead and take a look at all of it right now so the first thing is is that Google music is Now official and out of beta so previously it was available if you had an invite uh it is still us only however anyone in the United States can go ahead and get yourself on Google Music uh basically what it is is it's a cloud music service so go ahead and just open up some songs here just give you guys a little example uh basically what you can do if you click on the upload music you can download a music manager I don't have it on this computer but basically what it does is it will search your computer will pull playlists and music out of iTunes Windows Media Player or just folders or whatever and it will upload it to Google Music now one really nice thing about this is that it does not have like 3 gigabytes or 5 gigabytes but it has a 20,000 song limit which is a lot I have about 530 on here that's pretty much my entire music library that I listen to uh so of course it's going to have plenty of room for pretty much all of your music now beyond that it's really simple uh it's just as you would expect kind of like iTunes in the cloud and it is available both at music. google.com as well as of course on the Android phones it's going to be an app for that and you can also look it up on you know just the browser itself on mobile browsers uh so beyond that it's really simple you do get quite a bit of free music if you're interested uh so here is all kinds of music that I got for free when I uh uh first got Google Music a few months ago uh some of it's not great but a lot of it actually is really pretty decent so it's kind of nice you can get a good variety of free music when you first sign up but this is not the new part the new part is that you can now buy music from Google so previously of course you would have had to buy it through iTunes or get it some other way besides uh this but of course now through the Android market you can go ahead and download it so this is if you have an Android phone you can just download it straight on your device or if you have a computer like I do of course we can just take a look at it here so there's quite a bit on here I'm going to go try to go over as much of it as I can so it's kind of like iTunes I mean there's nothing spectacular about this uh so we can go ahead and just pick out something here just go to all top songs and find something random as far as the pricing and all that kind of stuff goes expect it to be basically the same as iTunes most of these are $129 some of them are 69 C most are 99 C so we can just scroll down here and just pick out something random so we just pick out War and what we can do if I can actually we'll just pick out the song here and what you can do is you get a little bit of information about it you can take a look at the songs that are included as well as if I can find the link here here we go you actually take a look at artist Pages themselves so you want to learn more about someone or some artist that's totally fine uh now overall I like this I mean it's nice to be able to have another uh way to go ahead and get all your music and if you're already into the Google ecosystem it's going to be very simple however there is one major problem so let's just go ahead and search for someone that I like dead mouse we're going to go ahead and search that up and you guys will see that there's not much here we can take a look at his artist page and I believe there's yeah there's like two songs here maybe a couple more but there's not much here and that's because there is not fantastic support for other music uh that they don't exactly have on here so you're definitely going to have a much better selection on iTunes on Amazon and of course on all your streaming websites and all that kind of stuff so uh if you're looking for you know just something that totally can just fight with iTunes and all that kind of stuff get all the music you want not really going to find it here but it is a good start and I am looking forward to seeing exactly what Google does with us in the future anyway guys it's going to be about it for my video if you guys have any questions feel free to leave them in the comment section below uh there's not that much new so hopefully I went over it all but if I didn't feel free to drop me a line and I will get back to you as soon as I can anyway guys if you enjoyed this video definitely be sure to leave it a thumbs up and if you're interested in more videos like this be sure to subscribehey
