The Art of Creating Delicious Beef Pot Pie Muffins
Hey guys, I wanted to make something different from my usual recipes, so I thought about making beef pot pie muffins instead of chicken. I've always loved chicken pot pie, but I thought it would be nice to try a variation. And let me tell you, these muffins turned out absolutely spectacular! They're perfect for a snack or even as a main course.
To make these delicious muffins, I started by heating up a pan over medium-high heat and adding a bit of oil. Then, I added half a pound of beef strips that I had cut into chunks. I seasoned them with some salt and my all-time favorite ground black pepper, which gives it that extra boost of flavor. Once they were browned and cooked through, I turned off the heat and set aside.
Next, I wanted to add the filling to the muffins. For this, I used a can of cream of mushroom soup - you can also use cream of beef if you prefer - along with some mixed veggies and grated cheddar cheese. Now, here's where things get interesting: I added a teaspoon of garlic powder and a teaspoon of onion powder for extra flavor. And because the cream of mushroom soup is salty enough, I decided to leave out the salt and pepper this time around.
Now that we have our filling, let's talk about the pastry part of our muffins. You can use any type of pastry you like - puff pastry or even crescent rolls will do the trick! For me, I went with a convenient option: crescent rolls in a bowl. I cut them into quarters and then placed the dough in my muffin tray, which just happens to be teflon-coated for easy release.
Here's where things get fun: we add our filling to the pastry cups! Take a scoop of that delicious mixture and place it into each cup. Don't worry if you can't fit all eight cups - I had some leftover filling to spare!
Now, let's not forget about the final touches on these adorable little treats. To give them an extra rustic effect, we just tuck the pastry in over the edges of each muffin tin. Voilà! We have our beautiful beef pot pie muffins ready to be baked.
Once everything was placed in the oven, I set it to 375 degrees Fahrenheit - about 180-190 Celsius for my international friends. Let's say we just popped these lovelies into the oven and waited patiently for them to bake. After approximately 17 minutes of baking, our muffins were done! Well, almost...
The final touch is letting those lovely muffins cool down a bit before taking a bite out of them. And oh boy... it was love at first sight for me too! The filling inside the pastry cups was absolutely scrumptious and beautifully put together with all that beef, soup, veggies, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and flavor explosion!
These delicious little treats are perfect for having a snack or a meal. And for those who may be wondering what makes these particular muffins so special: well, it's just the combination of ingredients we used - all that beef, veggies, cream of mushroom soup, cheese, garlic, onion powder, and flavor explosion! You can easily use any other type of filling you like, but I must say, this one was truly fantastic.
