Unboxing the Moto G 5: A Budget Phone that Packs a Punch
This is a brand new Moto G 5 and it's just coming to mail, and I'm really excited to unbox it and have a quick play before I review it fully because it's just $160 for the 2GB memory and 16GB storage version. Considering Abel's talking about the Galaxy S and the LG G6, these seriously expensive top-end flagships, I'm really curious to see how this 5th generation Moto G phone will stand up compared to those sort of phones considering it costs like a quarter of the price.
I will be reviewing this fully, think I may also do a comparison with the new guys, the SI, just to show what you get in terms of body for money bang for buck with a budget $160 quid phone versus $680 so what they'll be spring coming soon, so do stay tuned for that. But for now, let's have a quick look inside right we're in so we're manuals and things plug year great great great. I've never seen a battery that shape, how is that? This is the cup size three point eight volts twenty-eight hundred milliamps two thousand eight hundred milli amperes not too bad actually for a 5-inch 1080p phones.
We also then have the cable and of course this is as micro USB it's not USB C so where it's not quite a proper 2017 phone in terms of how the latest courts and of course the phone itself that's about it. Yep, I can go away and then we have it, the Moto G five a 5-inch 1080p phone which costs you just $160 this runs on the snapdragons 430 which is a low-power chip but it's quite a new one so it should still be pretty decent and it comes during the latest Android 7 new gas software.
So, first impressions are very light, and that's because I just realized the battery isn't in it so what somehow I'm going to have to oh it's the hole that literally the whole back comes off on the back you've got this all two-tone effect which suggests maybe this just this portion comes off but actually no this whole back comes off. You've got a little finger thing doesn't sound good come on you Preston ahaha, we're in lovely and of course also space or a microSD card as well as your SIM cards, you can of course also expand the storage so this is obviously made by Lenovo it's the Moto G 5 but it is made by Lenovo's.
What about the display? Looks pretty nice and it states 5 inches 1080p which is all you want really, again considering the price this is something to keep in mind the whole time yeah this is not going to look like a Galaxy S or an LG G6 or a Pixel but it is a quarter of the price. And considering you get a 13 megapixel rear camera 5 megapixel front fingerprint reader expandable memory it's even got something the iPhone 7 doesn't have and that's a headphone jack.
Over the next few days, I'll be fairly testing the Moto G 5 to see how it performs in terms of speed and performance as well as the camera quality battery life all those extra things. And say, I think I might also put this against the flagship Galaxy S just to see because I'm genuinely curious in 2017 what differences between a budget phone like this top-end super expensive flagship like the SI I think it could be really interesting. Well off the bat, I'm actually quite impressed with this I'm not sure I would go for the bigger plus model necessarily because this is still quite chunky, it's got quite big bezels and it's certainly not the thinnest and in the hand this 5-inch screen seems just about right especially at 1080p that it's like you have a 400 pixel per inch density is pretty good.
So, considering you want cheap you want cheerful, the 5-inch G5 is probably the best bit. I will look into that more so thank you very much for watching that's just a quick unboxing literally of the new Moto G 5 do stay tuned for the full review coming soon and I'll catch you next time right here on the sector.
