Testing OverWatch Performance on a $450 HP Laptop with Integrated Graphics

We decided to test the performance of Overwatch on a $450 HP laptop computer with integrated graphics to see how well it would play. The details settings were set to medium, and the VSync was turned off at 720p resolution. We wanted to see if the laptop's integrated graphics could handle the demands of the game.

As we started the game, the frame rate counter went away, and we began to play the game without any issues. However, we soon realized that having multiple monitors did not affect performance in this case, as they were cloned. This meant that we didn't notice any difference in performance even when using two screens. We tested this by playing the game with both monitors set up and also cloning them, but it had no impact on the frame rate.

As we played the game, we noticed that the frame rate was relatively smooth and controllable. There were only a few moments where the frame rate dropped slightly, which was minor. However, these drops were short-lived, and the majority of the time the frame rate was between 50 to 60 frames per second. This meant that the laptop's integrated graphics could handle the demands of the game without any significant performance issues.

One notable aspect of the gameplay experience was the use of long-range grenades. While they weren't particularly effective at taking down enemies with shields, they did provide a useful distraction and allowed us to attack from a distance. Additionally, we were able to take out enemies with our short-range attacks, although it wasn't always easy.

As we continued to play, we encountered some minor hiccups with the frame rate. However, these drops were short-lived and didn't significantly impact our gameplay experience. The overall performance of the laptop's integrated graphics was impressive, especially considering its budget-friendly price tag.

In the end, we were able to play Overwatch on this $450 HP laptop computer without any significant performance issues. While it may not have been ideal for achieving high frame rates at all resolutions and detail settings, it was still playable with just a few minor hiccups. This makes it a viable option for those looking for a budget-friendly gaming laptop that can handle popular games like Overwatch.

Results

After playing the game for 10 minutes, we analyzed our results to see how well the laptop's integrated graphics performed. The average frame rate was 54 frames per second, with a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 7. However, it's worth noting that these frame rates are not representative of the entire gameplay experience, as they only reflect a short period of time.

Conclusion

In conclusion, our test showed that a $450 HP laptop computer with integrated graphics can play Overwatch without any significant performance issues. While it may not be ideal for achieving high frame rates at all resolutions and detail settings, it's still a viable option for those looking for a budget-friendly gaming laptop. We'll continue to monitor the performance of this laptop in future tests to see how it holds up over time.

Performance Hiccups

One minor issue we encountered during gameplay was some lag in certain areas. This lag lasted only for a few frames and didn't significantly impact our gameplay experience. However, there were a few moments where the frame rate dropped below 50 frames per second, which was noticeable. We're not sure what caused these dips in performance, but they seemed to be related to the game's use of long-range grenades.

Lag-Free Gameplay

Despite the minor hiccups with performance, we were able to play Overwatch without any significant lag or stuttering. The laptop's integrated graphics handled the demands of the game without issue, and we were able to focus on our gameplay experience without any distractions.

Gaming Experience

Overall, our gaming experience was enjoyable and immersive. We loved the fast-paced action and strategic gameplay that Overwatch has to offer. While there were some minor hiccups with performance, they didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the game. The laptop's integrated graphics performed well enough to allow us to focus on our gameplay experience without any significant issues.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, we're pleased with the results of our test and believe that a $450 HP laptop computer with integrated graphics can play Overwatch without any significant performance issues. While it may not be ideal for achieving high frame rates at all resolutions and detail settings, it's still a viable option for those looking for a budget-friendly gaming laptop. We'll continue to monitor the performance of this laptop in future tests to see how it holds up over time.

Gaming Recommendations

If you're in the market for a new gaming laptop on a budget, we highly recommend considering this $450 HP model with integrated graphics. While it may not be ideal for achieving high frame rates at all resolutions and detail settings, it's still a viable option for those looking for a reliable and affordable gaming laptop.
