How to Share Content without Breaking the Law

The Importance of Properly Creditting and Using Original Content Online

As creators and online entrepreneurs, we appreciate your enthusiasm when you embed our videos into your blog posts, do videos about our content on Locker n.com, and share our work with others. However, there is one thing that we cannot stand: copying our content without permission or proper credit.

General Speaking, It's Worse for You Than Us

We are the copyright holders of the content in question, but it doesn't mean that you can use it without consequences. The fact that we are the original creators doesn't give you carte blanche to copy and paste our work onto your website. We understand that sometimes you might think "I'm giving them credit by linking back" or "I'm just borrowing some ideas," but those excuses don't hold water when it comes to proper usage of copyrighted material.

Content Already Exists Somewhere

One of the biggest misconceptions is that because content exists online, it's no longer protected by copyright. That's not true. Just because something is available online doesn't mean it's fair game for anyone to use without permission. If we create a piece of content, such as an article or video, and share it with others, the rights to that content remain with us.

You Can Quote It, But Don't Copy It

If you want to reference our work in your own writing, there are perfectly fine ways to do so without copying entire sections. You can quote a few sentences here and there, as long as you provide proper attribution and cite the source. However, if you're looking to use an entire article or video for your own content, that's still considered plagiarism.

It Hurts Us More Than It Hurts You

We understand that sometimes people might not know any better or might be trying to save time by copying our work. But let us tell you, it hurts. When we see our hard work being copied and passed off as someone else's, it can be frustrating and demotivating. And worse, when this happens on a large scale, it can harm our reputation and affect the success of our business.

Content Copying Is Stealing

We know that might sound dramatic, but it's true. When you copy our content without permission, you're taking something that belongs to us and passing it off as your own. That's not fair, and it's not right. And if you're trying to do the right thing by buying original content from someone else, that's a different story altogether.

The Consequences of Copying Content

If you're caught copying our content or anyone else's for that matter, it can have serious consequences on your website's search engine rankings. Google and other search engines take copyright infringement very seriously, and if they find out that you've been copying content without permission, it can lead to penalties such as removal of the copied content from their indexes or even a temporary ban on your website.

The Importance of Being Mindful

So what can you do instead of copying our content? Here are a few suggestions. First, always make sure to provide proper attribution and cite the source of any information you use. Second, consider buying original content from reputable sources. Third, if you're unsure whether something is copyrighted or not, it's always best to err on the side of caution and avoid using it altogether.

We're Not Trying to Be the Copyright Police

But we are trying to educate people about the importance of proper usage of copyrighted material online. We want to make sure that everyone understands the value of respecting others' intellectual property rights. And if you're willing to put in a little extra effort, not only will it improve your online reputation but also contribute to a more positive and respectful online community.

Conclusion

In conclusion, while it's understandable that you might want to copy our content from time to time, it's essential to remember that copyright laws are in place to protect creators' rights. By being mindful of proper usage and providing proper credit where credit is due, you can avoid any potential consequences and contribute to a more positive online community.
