What's Up Guys, I'm Ice Here Today!
I'm excited to share with you guys some of my favorite eye widgets available for iOS 8. But before we begin, I want to make sure everyone knows what eye widgets are. Eye widgets are basically live widgets on the springboard, and if you don't know how to install them, I have a full video tutorial that's available in the video description below. And of course, you'll need to be jailbroken to get live widgets on your springboard, so be sure to check out my jailbreak tutorial as well.
Before we start exploring the eye widgets, we need to obtain our weather code. So, let's jump into Safari and go over to weather.yahoo.com. Type in your city and what you're doing, and once you've done that, tap here on the URL and scroll all the way to the right until you see this code at the end of the page - it's a five or six digit code. Copy that code because we'll need it to implement it on our widgets so we can get accurate weather readings.
Now, let's go ahead and start flipping through these eye widgets rather quickly. Tap and hold the widgets panel, and the first one I want to talk about is Clock Flip Weather S. That weather code goes here - City weather code, just like I explained earlier. You can adjust those settings to your liking by going ahead and changing the language. As you can see, this widget has the time, date, and month displayed nicely.
Moving along, we have Flexi with a nice background and also gets the weather on the right side, as well as the time and city. Next up is LGI widgets, which are very nice, too. And then we have the M2 package, which offers all sorts of widgets - images, Instagram, scrolling text, and more. I'm going to select one of these widgets that I like the most, which is the weather widget.
Now, let's take a closer look at this weather widget. It's very simple, but it still gets the job done. And as you can see, the M2 package has all sorts of other widgets available for use. Let me click on the scrolling text and type in some text that I want to display. Now, adjust the color and fonts as needed, and watch how the text scrolls across the screen - it's pretty cool.
Next up is another widget that I really like a lot - the X Classic widget animated. It has all sorts of options available, including RSS feeds, eye widgets, weather, animation, and more. Take a look at how smooth this one looks. The text is very smooth, and we get to see the date, month, time, actual weather, and temperature displayed nicely.
Last but not least, let's take a look at Comcept Weather. This one is another awesome widget that shows us what the weather is like outside with a DAT time, city, and actual image in the center. It's very cool to see how this widget works.
I hope you guys enjoyed this quick video on some of the widgets available for iOS 8. There are tons more out there, so be sure to check out the video description below for all the information. Don't forget to thumbs up if you found this helpful, and I'll catch you guys really soon. Peace!
