**Reporting Live from CES 2013: Sony Xperia Z Review**
This is Austin, reporting live from CES 2013, and I'm excited to introduce you to the brand new Sony Xperia Z, the latest flagship phone from Sony. With some really cool specs, let's take a closer look.
The first thing you'll notice with this phone is its full 5-inch 1080P screen. You've seen similar screens on other phones like the HTC Droid DNA, but I've got to say it looks really nice. One thing to note, however, is that the viewing angles are a little bit weird, so you'll have to take a closer look at it. But, as this is one of the early phones, it's not a big deal.
The Sony Xperia Z also boasts a really good camera with 13 megapixels, and of course, HDR videos in 1080p U. You might be wondering what HDR is, but don't worry, it's like BAS – it takes multiple exposures to help get all the highlights and low lights right, making sure everything looks nice.
This phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, a 1.5 GHz quad core, which is pretty much the best we've got right now. The phone itself is pretty lightweight, with a thickness of just 7.9 MM. I've got to say, in my hand it feels really nice.
One of the big things about this phone is that it's water resistant – not waterproof, so don't go swimming with it! But it does have all the ports covered, and one of the big things is that the ports have nice covers on them, which you can pull off really easily. They're not flimsy or cheap-looking either.
The Sony Xperia Z runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is an all-new skin from Sony. It's actually doesn't have an official name yet, but it looks very nice – clean and fast. As you can see here compared to a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, this phone keeps up no problem at all thanks to that Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
It's got lots and lots of power and is very smooth as well. So, even though it has a 5-inch screen, it's not a really really big phone anyway. That's about it for the Sony Xperia Z – we don't have enough price or release information yet, but it definitely will be coming in quarter 1 2013.
Overall, this is pretty good stuff if you're interested in more CES 2013 coverage. Be sure to hit up that like button and subscribe – I'll be doing lots more videos on all kinds of phones, cameras, and other tech-related topics within the next few weeks. Anyway guys, I will catch you next time!
