TISTHESEASONATHON TBR!

**My Tis the Season Book Thon**

For me, this week's read-a-thon is all about stretching it to the limit. I'm trying to read like five books during the holiday season, which I think is way too ambitious. However, I'm willing to take on the challenge and see how it goes. As I always say, "Stretching yourself is the first step to stretching your limits." And who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself and actually finish all of them.

My reading plan for this Tis the Season book thon is as follows. For my first challenge, I'm going to reread "Let It Snow" by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle. This book was a favorite of mine when I first joined BookTube, and I've been meaning to re-read it for a while now. The story is about three short stories that intertwine during the holiday season, and I remember really enjoying it the first time around. I'm also excited to see if the new Netflix adaptation holds up against my beloved book.

For my second challenge, I'm going to read "10 Blind Dates" by Ashley Elston. This book has gotten amazing reviews from my fellow BookTubers, and I'm excited to dive into its holiday-themed romance. The story follows a character who's had a hard time with love, and her aunt sets her up on ten blind dates during the holiday season. It sounds like a fun and lighthearted read, perfect for getting me in the holiday spirit.

**My Holiday Book Recommendations**

As I mentioned earlier, my reading plan includes "Let It Snow" and "10 Blind Dates". Both books sound like great choices for the holiday season, and I'm excited to dive into them. If you're looking for more holiday book recommendations, I've got you covered! In my previous video, I talked about some of my favorite holiday books, including "Winter Street" by Elin Hilderbrand and "The Holiday" by Jennifer Weiner. Both books are perfect for getting cozy by the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa.

**My Reading Routine**

As I prepare to dive into my read-a-thon, I'm excited to share my reading routine with you. First things first, I need to make sure I have all the necessary supplies. That means hot cocoa, cookies, and comfortable seating. My favorite holiday treat is hot apple cider, which always gets me in the mood for reading. And of course, I'll be vlogging every step of the way, so be sure to follow along on my YouTube channel.

**My Buddy Reed Challenge**

One of the challenges I'm participating in this year is the Buddy Read challenge. This challenge is all about reading a book with someone else, either in person or online. It's a great way to stay accountable and motivated, especially during the holiday season when it can be easy to get distracted. For my Buddy Read challenge, I'll be pairing up with some of my fellow BookTubers to read "10 Blind Dates" together.

**My Expectations**

As I prepare to start my read-a-thon, I have high expectations for myself. I know that it's going to be a busy week, and I'll need to stay focused in order to finish all five books. But I'm excited for the challenge, and I'm confident that I can do it. After all, as they say, "Believe you can and you're halfway there."

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone today I am going to share with you all the books I'm reading for it is the season a son tis the season to be jolly far along so please forgive me my background for Christmas it's still a hodgepodge my Christmas trees up but it's not decorating the lights are on half hazard late my mantis decorated with a bookshelf not so I'm a little bit of a precocious play so that's why I'm filming right here and you might see this background for some Christmas videos because I might do some here where there will be a tree because spoiler warning sadly there will not be a tree and my holiday background in my office because I only have one Christmas tree and it's in the living room so I hope every cake that it still will be Christmassy just minus the tree so I will probably film some in front of my bookcase and then some in front of this tree right here if you like this background let me know if you don't also let me know as well just let me know your opinion so anyway today I'm here to share with you all the books I'm reading for my holiday we have fun tis the season fun so let's begin first challenge is to read a book with snow on the cover for that I'm reading we met in December by rosey Curtis this one just flew in on my radar at this past month and I'm so excited because it really reminds me of one day in December I know as an adult chicklet romance something like that and it's basically fall in my life in the year of 20-something British woman falls hard for her London flatmate this clever fun offering a romantic comedy is the perfect feel good holiday read can we have this house pretty much and it's about just who lives in this grand Notting Hill House share with four virtual strangers on her first night she meets Alex and they instantly share a connection and they kind of hit it off and then it's Christmas break so just has to go home for Christmas and then she comes back and she learns that Alex is actually now relationship with somebody else in the house named Emma so now it's her year they have to follow a year where she has feelings for him and he is in love with another woman so it's very remittent it's very reminiscent to me of one day in December which is one of my favorite holiday routes so I can't wait to read this I've heard no one talked about this book so I can't wait to check it out as you can see hopefully there's a couple of snowflakes on it and there's some on the back there's snow on the cover our next challenge is a holiday themed book and for the I am really Christmas Shopaholic by Sophie and Philip you guys know how much I love Sophie Kinsella books they're just funny Chiclets ebooks I might try the audiobook this but I know I will not have enough time to listen to the full audiobook so I might audiobook and listen to it when I can and then read it physically when I don't have time to listen to it that makes any sense so this is I don't even know what book in this series it is there's eight books this is the ninth book in the shopaholic series I have read the first three I want to say I've read pleasure mr. hawk a red shop Hawkman takes me in hand I've read shop hot ties not and I've read Shopaholic and sister I think I don't know I haven't read all of them so is this technically cheating yeah but I think this is a series where you don't need to read all of them that's just my personal opinion so hopefully I'll be okay I'm not sure myself in the foot by reading this and not having read like the last four of the series I can maybe Wikipedia some information but I think I pretty much get the gist so pretty much as far as I cured me and Becky Bloomwood if you don't know the whole Shopaholic series is about Becky she's a Shopaholic she does not do good with money it's just shops all frickin time and guessing this one she's gonna have Christmas shopping and family and kids and marriage all those things I've heard really good things about this book and I haven't loved the last two Sophie Kinsella books that have came out so I'm really hoping this one's gonna be amazing and it's Christmassy and I'm excited to read it next up we have a book you received as a gift like I said in my recommendations video and just the announcement that this could be a gift from the library gift you got yourself things like that and I am actually using this for a book I have received as a gift and for that it is the smell of other people's houses by Bonnie suit Hitchcock this is a very very short read the covers beautiful I got this last year for Christmas from my amazing friend Trina who is one of the co-hosts and I knew I was gonna save it for next year for the read-a-thon because I didn't get it so banned and this only has 230 pages I believe this has three stories that intermingle they live in Alaska on the Coalwood edge of America where each one must find their strength courage and hard to survive focus about people who try to save each other and sometimes at least expect it they succeed so it's not in Alaska if you don't know I love books that in Alaska I've read two that are set in Alaska that I just love and love reading Alaska so I've heard amazing things about this I don't know if this is a why a book or an adult book I'm not quite sure you have to let me know but either way I'm excited to read it it's a short and quick book which i think is perfect for rias on so if you want to check this one out I only recommend you do so because it feels a lot of the challenges you've got snow on the cover it's holiday themed I'm guessing because it's kind of wintery and I got as a gift you can give her a library there's a gift our next challenge is to read a book while eating your favorite holiday treat for that one I'm gonna use any one of those three I'm just gonna read one of those three for that so this is a freebie one pick whatever one you want I highly recommend you double up you triple up on challenges because for me I am trying to read like five books this week during the read-a-thon which is way stretching it do I think it's gonna happen maybe maybe not but either way I had never commend you double triple up because that's just the easiest way so pick winning one of these books I'm gonna show you today I'm gonna eat it I'm gonna read it while eating probably or drinking hot cocoa or eating some cookies something like that looks like one of your favorite holiday treats and you can drink something as well it doesn't have to be eating hot apple cider is a freakin Christmas treat if I've ever heard of or hot cocoa that's my favorite last challenge is to read a book related to music like I said in my recommendations video this is very loose you can use it for an actual book title that is a song title as well you can do it with a book it's about news and things like that I am taking this literally and I'm going to reread let it snow by John Green Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle so this is a book I read a long time ago like when I first joined booktube this was like there wasn't a ton of holiday books out and let it snow was like one of the main ones that everyone loved so I read it and I really enjoyed it so I believe this is three short stories and they all enter mingle and intertwine during the holiday season so I don't really because it's been a while since I've read it also because there is a new Netflix at a patient for it that I have not seen because I want to read the book and then watch the adaptation during this is the season athan you know week and blow of it and things like that because I just want to do that and I want to do a whole video review on it because I just I don't know Christmasy I love it so yeah I haven't heard much about the adaptation I don't want to but I remember really enjoying this book can I tell it's about but I just know it's three stories that intertwine all together the characters come together and it's really cute very Christmassy so as you can tell the title of it is let it snow a classic holiday song let it snow let it snow let it snow so check mark our last challenge our extra challenge is our group of buddy Reed and for this year we're reading 10 blind dates by Ashley Elston this is a book all about a character that kind of has a hard time with love so her aunt sets her up on these 10 blind dates during the holiday season I've no snow in the code but there's like glitter that looks like snow to me it is set during the holiday month um so and you can gift it to yourself from the library and there's like three challenges all wrapped up into one right there for you anyway these are all the books I'm planning to read for that is Azizah thon this is a very big ambitious to do for me for a read-a-thon week but I'm gonna try it we'll see I know for sure I'm definitely going to read we meant December Christmas shop I think I just I feel I really want to read all of them honestly the one I might not get to is to reread let it snow which might be sad but I'm gonna try my best to read all of them and I think I really applied myself and work hard on it I will do it like I said I will be vlogging the entire week of tis the season of thumb to be sure to be on the lookout for that it would my feet daily because I doesn't have time for that but it would be a week-long vlog I hope that's okay but yeah I would love to hear
