POPULAR BOOKTOK BOOKS I HAVEN'T READ
### Article: Heather’s Take on Popular TikTok Books She Haven’t Read Yet
#### Introduction
Hello everyone! My name is Heather, and welcome to the channel *Bookables*. Today, we’re diving into another *Book Talk* video. If you’ve been here before, you might have seen some of my previous videos where I discuss whether certain books are worth the hype or not. I’m always fascinated by which books explode on social media and why they become so popular. However, I know that one book can’t be for everyone—some people will love it, while others won’t. But most of these books are really cherished by many, which makes it even more interesting.
Today, I’m going to talk about some popular TikTok books that I haven’t read yet and share whether or not I think I’ll add them to my reading list. I’ve tried to gather as much information as possible, but I know I might be missing some. So, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below—I’d love to hear which ones you think I should read or skip!
This will be part of a series, so buckle up and get ready for more videos like this! Without further ado, let’s dive into the list.

#### 1. **Babble by The Author of *The Poppy War***
First up is *Babble*, which I believe is by the same author who wrote *The Poppy War*. These are big fantasy books, and while I’ve heard they’re popular, I’m not a huge fan of fantasy. I’ve dipped my toe into the genre before, but most of them just aren’t for me. If you’re a fantasy lover, though, I’d definitely recommend checking these out—I think they’re good reads!

#### 2. **The House in Between by Freda McFaden**
Next is *The House in Between* by Freda McFaden. This was the book that blew her up on TikTok, and I’m curious to read it. Many of these books started as indie titles but have since been traditionally published, which I think is awesome for authors. I’ve only read one book by her before, *The Inmate*, and it was wild! Her books are known for being quick reads, which is great for a thriller. I’ll give this one a try.

#### 3. **Atlas 6 (Another Fantasy Book)**
Then we have * Atlas 6*, another fantasy title. Honestly, I don’t know much about this one except that it has a black cover with gold accents. It might be similar to something like *Six of Crows* or set in a boarding school/Gothic setting. While it doesn’t appeal to me right now, if you’ve read it and loved it, let me know why I should check it out!

#### 4. **The Spanish Love Deception**
Next up is *The Spanish Love Deception*. I tried reading this one but ended up with a DNF (did not finish) because the writing style didn’t work for me. It’s a long book, and I found myself getting frustrated by how slow it was progressing—specifically, two characters who hated each other agreed to go to a wedding, but they weren’t there until page 150! While this one blew up on TikTok, I’m not convinced I’ll ever pick it up again.

#### 5. **A Little Life (Non-Fiction/Memoir)**
Now, *A Little Life* is supposed to be the saddest book ever written, and honestly, I’m not sure if I can handle it right now. It’s a memoir about someone’s traumatic life experiences, which sounds important but emotionally draining. Given that I’ve had a tough couple of years with family issues, I’m not sure I have the emotional bandwidth for this one. It might be a pass for me.

#### 6. **Normal People by Sally Rooney**
Next is *Normal People* by Sally Rooney, which was also adapted into a TV show. I didn’t enjoy the show, so I’m not sure about the book either. Sometimes you just know something isn’t going to click with you, and this feels like one of those books for me.
---
#### 7. **The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller**
Then we have *The Song of Achilles* by Madeline Miller. I’ve heard it’s a Greek mythology retelling, similar to *Cersei*, which I read but didn’t love. While I respect its popularity, I’m just not that into Greek mythology, so this one might pass me by.
---
#### 8. **Powerless by Lauren Roberts**
Now, *Powerless* by Lauren Roberts is one I actually have on my TBR list. It’s been compared to *The Hunger Games* and *Divergent*, which immediately piques my interest since those are some of my favorite books from when I was younger. I’m definitely going to give this one a shot!
---
#### 9. **Colleen Hoover Books**
Speaking of popular authors, Colleen Hoover is another name that comes up a lot on TikTok. While her book *Ugly Love* might have gotten some traction, I’ve read a few of her other books and just don’t connect with her style. I think they’re toxic in terms of relationships, so I’ll skip them for now.
---
#### 10. **Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan**
Next is *Archer’s Voice* by Mia Sheridan. I’ve read one of her other books, *Grayson’s V*, and enjoyed it, so I’m excited to check out this sweeping love story. It’s supposed to be emotional, which might be why I haven’t read it yet, but I’ll give it a try eventually.
---
#### 11. **Magnolia Parks (Indie Book)**
Lastly is *Magnolia Parks*, another indie book. The cover is very busy and unique, but honestly, it doesn’t speak to me much. I’m not sure if I’ll check this one out—I might need to do more research before deciding.

#### Additional Thoughts
As I wrap up, I realize there are so many books I’ve already read or at least attempted, like *The Silent Patient* and *Butcher & The Blackbird*. Some of these are already on my shelf, while others are still a mystery. If you have any recommendations for me or want to share your thoughts on the ones I mentioned, drop them in the comments below—I’d love to hear from you!
