TBR prompt jar chooses my june reads! let's make a june TBR cart together 🌹🎮✨
**Choosing the Perfect Book: Our Top 10 Picks for 2024**
For our top 10 picks in 2024, I think I'm going to go for "The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches". I feel like this would be a really cozy time for us here in Panama, as we're in our rain kind of tropical winter season. The thought of snuggling up with a good book on a rainy day, sipping on a warm drink at a cozy coffee shop, makes me extremely excited about reading "The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches". I think this could be a really great choice for us to make, and it's definitely one that I'm looking forward to diving into.
**About the Book**
In "The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches", we follow Ma Moon, one of the few witches in Britain. She keeps herself isolated from the world because she knows that if she were to be around other witches, their magic would probably mingle in ways that wouldn't be beneficial. However, when she receives a very enticing invitation to teach three young witches how to navigate their magic and take care of themselves, she can't resist the opportunity. As she moves into Set NoWhere House to live with her new students, she meets Jamie, the house's librarian, who is both infuriatingly annoying and incredibly attractive. This book has it all - found family, romantic tension, fantasy elements, and so much more.
**The Poll**
We also had a poll to choose our June TBR, and it looks like "Addicted" by Christa and Becka Richie is winning with 56% of the votes. I was surprised to see that one book was taking the lead in our collective decision, but I'm glad we got to do this exercise. Our final book for the month is now set, and I couldn't be more excited.
**What's Next**
As we move forward with our TBR, I want to hear from you guys! What are your plans for June? Are there any books or series that you're eager to dive into? Let us know in the comments below. If you've already read some of the books on our list, please share your thoughts - I love hearing about new favorite reads and discovering hidden gems.
**Our TBR Prom Jar**
I have to say, I'm really loving how our TBR came out this month. Half of the picks are fantasy books, while the other half is a mix of romance, thrillers, and manga. I think it's going to be an amazing reading experience, and I'm so grateful to have such a great group of readers who get to choose our TBR together.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: engreetings and salutations my friends and welcome to a new video I love that every single one of my videos recently has started with that little dance and I can't stop doing it so I hope you guys enjoy it just as much as I do because I think it sets the tone right you already know it's going to be a little chaotic it's going to be a lot of fun hopefully so I hope you guys think so as well and we are here for a good time because today it is time to renew our TBR card and you know what we've got a cat chilling at the bottom upset tpr card it's a great time for all of us the whole family's involved and I'm very excited to pick out my June TBR with you guys so as always every single month that happens welcome to my TBR prompt jar chois my June reads so very excited about this look at what we did last month we actually went through the task of refolding everything I've been saying it for months this thing was too filled up to the rim it wouldn't even allow me to properly pick out the prompts and so I took everything out last month I refolded it and we are here with a nice compact TBR prompt jar that will hopefully allow us to fish a little bit better for the promps I already kind of know which books I want to go in here I'm definitely looking at very specific titles be it for videos be it for enjoyment be it for a little bit of everything as well as book club pick so let's see what the TBR jar does this month to help us or not hopefully it's in the realm of helping us and let's get into it friends this is going to be quite good hopefully so as always I want to give you a little rundown of what was read at least from the TBR definitely read outside of my TBR this month just a tiny little bit not too much but I did really really good with my TBR this month I read through quite a bit of it so let us get through all of the things that I did read the things that I did not read the things that I'm about to finish the things that are going to be rolled over and all of the gritty details so the fake made by Lana Ferguson this was red loved it the most spy family Volume 11 that was red loved it the most Romancing Mr Brigton this was red H it okay and education and Malice was also read this month you'll hear more in depth about all of these in my rap B you guys already know how it works got what the Ever Knows managed to finish this this month that was also kind of okay our wives under the sea was a good time Indigo Rich was okay but it was a good time which then means that I have got four books left over in my TBR this month honestly not that bad both of these books right here at the time of filming this it is the end of month but these two books will be finished before may end I will not be counting these as rollovers because they will get finished that is a promise and so both of those will get out of the TBR card which leaves us really with only these two books that are rolling over into June and that is one dark Windell and paint the devils and they are going right back into the TBR cart because I definitely want to get those read and I don't want to miss that opportunity by taking those out of the TBR I always say it I will allow books two to 3 months in the TBR card up until I get those out if they are a rollover just to give myself the chance to read them and if by month two or three I have not read them definitely time for that to go because if I keep renewing tbrs and those books are still there and I still choose to read over books over them that means that not that interested at this point in time but these ones will definitely be in my June TBR so we get to choose eight different books which I really don't think is bad I think that's really good progress let us grab the TBR jar and let's choose eight different books today you guys already know what time it is I haven't even had coffee this morning and I am very tired but we are here on adrenaline alone so let us choose our very first prompt for June and let me go with this one right here and we've got oh a by po author we can definitely do that so this is our prompt to start out with and I think I will utilize this one to actually include my June book club pick in here love that V moved the camera just a little bit but I really do think the best course of action always with these tbrs is to get my patreon book clipic in here immediately so that everything else after that can just be either a mood read or something that I've been really looking forward to outside of my mandatory read so this is the song of the six Realms I'm very very excited about this I've never read a Judy I Linn book even though a magic steeped in Poison was super super big when it came out but I'm very excited to make this my very first one and obviously depending on how this goes I may just get a magic steeped and poison with a quickness because that one also looks really really good and the cover for it is really really stunning but in this one we follow our main character jouer who is a Young musician she was orphaned from a really young age and so her safe haven really is the place that she works at and one day she encounters a Duke who seems to really enjoy the music that she's playing and he gives her the offer of a lifetime to come to his Manner and basically just play music for him and him alone turns out that he wasn't really honest about who he is though because it turns out that he is one of the deities of the Gods in the celestial realm and as she gets there she is told that the celestial realm is in Peril and she seems to hold the key to the answer however even though she is the key to defeating all of these demonic Monsters the rest of the celestial rulers in the Celestial Kingdom definitely want her gone specifically because of her ability and things go from there it's set to be a Gothic fantasy but it's also mixing so many other elements of what I typically enjoy like deities and a Celestial realm and demonic monsters to defeat and music and so it sounds like such a cool book I'm hoping that it is every bit the hit I wanted and need it to be and so this is going to be our very first book into the TBR and I am so very happy that we managed to get that immediately in as we got started and listen I always say it if you guys want extra content live shows a book club a Discord server and just to overall support the channel a little bit extra patreon is definitely the place to be so that's always linked Down Below in case you guys want to read song of the six Realms alongside the rest of us or if you want to join for our other book club picks or for our other activities that is always linked down below so for our second prompt let us choose ooh this one feels small baby okay I'm a little bit scared it feels tiny but let's see what this says this says forward title oh my God I don't know what to do for this one guys I am very very torn I have got two romance that I'd love to put into my TBR this month so let me just show them I have got love on the brain by Ali Hazelwood but also just for the summer by Abby humz so I don't know what to do because this can definitely go into my July TBR no problem and it really makes no difference so I'm leaning love on the brain but like I also really want to read this what to do I think I'm going to go with love on the brain for this one this is the only stem book of her series I have not read yet this is all I'm missing to kind of complete that series and we follow our main character bee who basically asks herself in every instance what would Marie krie do and if she thinks that she wouldn't do it then she doesn't do it either and that question seems to come up a lot in the book especially as she has now offered a new neuroengineering project at Nasa and she realizes that that entails working with Levi her arch nemesis since they were in school together and that in itself poses a little bit of an issue not only because they don't really get along but also because she finds him really really attractive and then things get even more crappy when everybody at the lab starts treating her kind of bad they start hiding her stuff from her and ignoring her a lot so it makes the job even more difficult and so then he starts kind of sympathizing and softening down a little bit toward her and things go from there I'm sure the romance is going to be good because Ali Hazelwood is the queen of R it I love her so much and so this will go right into the TBR as our very first romance book for June it's time for our third prompt okay let us see what we get for our third one I don't know where I want to pick from I feel like let's go right smack down the middle and this one feels small too this says if I can open it oh my God book with a playlist ooh baby that's a romance if I've ever seen one a book with playlist okay what books do I own that have a playlist okay I feel like maybe the addicted books would have a I think I know what's going to end up in my T oh my gosh I'm scared but maybe the addicted series would have a playlist I feel like this is optimal playlist type of book cuz it's so angsty I just oh it doesn't oh my God it doesn't have a playlist does it have a playlist in the back it's got text messages but I don't think it has oh my God I don't think it does wow oh no it does okay bonus playlist listen I knew this was going to have one okay so we have got addicted for now which is the third book in the addicted series and it does have a playlist I still need to read this book I need to catch up to Kristen because she already read this and I did not cuz I forgot to put it in my MBR so addicted for now could be a good option I think and maybe I'm ready to go back into the addicted World also another book that has a playlist that is actually a part of my 10 books to read in 202 for list so this could also really be a good option I am thinking is throttled by Lauren Asher I'm pretty sure I saw a playlist in here yeah of course it's got a playlist both of these books were self-published before they went into the traditionally published route was this ever traditionally published I don't know that throttle ever was but I know for sure obviously this has got a playlist does anything else I own romance bookwise have a playlist does Daisy hates have a playlist do I want to do that to myself we can dou a tick I don't think the mnia books have a playlist I don't think it does the hot days here in Panama lately have been hot as hell this book is Toasty it is so freaking hot so does this have a playlist of any kind I don't yeah know I think the book just starts right away I feel like Archer's Voice would also have a playlist does it not it also doesn't have a playlist okay let's just choose out of these two so we have got throttled by Lauren Nasher and addicted for now I've talked about the addicted series a lot here on my channel and then throttled is a Formula 1 romance I think this may be a ask for Instagram honestly because I don't think I can make a choice on these two I'm so torn put up a poll on Instagram and see what you guys say and make a choice from there we've got the picture in question a picture where you guys cannot see the titles so that you vote more impartially if we will and I'll just put in emojis so that you guys don't know at all what this is and I will double check at the end of the video and we'll Circle back to this one here's the final Instagram post we'll see what you guys say and I'll Circle back by the the time that we get to number eight and so while that simmers on Instagram and you guys make the choices without really knowing what you're voting for let us move on to our is it fourth yes let's move on to our fourth prompt I was confused I was like how many am I choosing okay let us go for our fourth prompt let's go for this one and this one says I'm scared paperback read oh my God can we pretend funny stories at paperback now that's cheating listen there are plenty of unread books in these shelves so finding a paperback that is unread should not be an issue question is do I want that paperback to be a literary fiction do I want that paperback to be a romance o do I want it to be a thriller hold up let me get a few options I'm getting excited now clear we've got too many options so I pulled out Renegades by Marissa Meyer I pulled out finale by Stephanie Garber I pulled out Blood of Elves by Andre salowski I pulled out Shadow Of Night by debah Harkness but then also the Thursday Murder Club by Richard Oman what do I do when I pulled out the prompt realistically this was the first thing I thought of the Thursday Murder Club so that was like one of the initial thoughts second thing I thought of was shadow of night and so I don't know what to do here let's also put Renegades in there and finale as well am I ready to finish this series I don't know maybe I am maybe I am okay let's put finale in there and blood ofal too everything sounds so good the Town was in Flames I know it is I know it is the ending of Sword of Destiny I know I think this has been the most indecisive TBR I've ever had and I apologize in advance because what the heck is this killing someone is easy hiding the body now that's usually the hard part that's how you get caught I was lucky enough to stumble upon the right place though the perfect place really I come back from time to time just to make sure everything is still safe and sound it always is and I suppose it always will be sometimes I'll have a cigar which I know I shouldn't but it's my only Vice oh that sounds good that sounds oh let's start with Elizabeth shall we and see where that gets us that sounds so good I think I'm going to go with the Thursday mder club which is also another one of my 10 books to read in 2024 guys guys if we get throttled as well that'll be two books in here and I think paint the Devils is in that list too wait a second oh that' be good that' be good good okay so I'm going with the Thursday Murder Club for this one I put this into my 10 books to read this year and I'm very very excited exced about this so in this one we follow a group of elderly people who live in a retirement village and they convene once a week to discuss different murders and cold cases and just murder mysteries in general and they call themselves The Thursday Murder Club however things get a little extra interesting when a local developer is found dead with a mysterious photograph right beside the body and they figure who best to solve this crime than us cuz we already do this weekly sounds very exciting it sounds very cozy I know people really love this series think it's high time I start with this one I think it's TI time I read it in general so this goes right in and I think this is amazing because we didn't really get a thriller right last month so I think this is going to be good I don't know if it applies there like a thriller mystery more of a mystery more of a cozy mystery but either way anything in that vein I think is a nice little switch up in genres for the following month and so going to be good hopefully we are halfway through the choosing friends let us get our fifth prompt let me go for this one is this one or more than one okay this is one favorite color in cover again I think we got this last month didn't we Okay so we've got favorite color in cover I established the conversation in that video that I do not particularly have a favorite color I have got colors that I gravitate toward colors that I like more than others but if I had to define a single one that I like best out of everything I would not be able to do so however in that video I mentioned different shades of green are typically things I gravitate toward whether it's matcha green a muted green I typically gravitate towards pinks as well whether that's a pastel pink or a really really hot pink like Barbie pink whatever pink I typically really like which is a turn of events cuz I didn't like it when I was younger and then purple whether that's lilac Periwinkle any shade of purple really I typically also really like and I am keeping that specific prompt because you know what it's perfect for funny story I obviously am very excited about funny story by Emily Henry I ended up getting myself the physical because of the spine I don't know if you guys have seen the spine but it is the most gorgeous thing ever I love the little lemons just going throughout it and so I decided to get it physically instead of just getting the ebook and I'm hoping that I I really really love this it's obviously a Periwinkle shade and I think it's perfect for this one so we're going to go with funny story and the drama honey with this one I absolutely loves it we follow our two main characters Daphne and Miles who are very much Polar Opposites but they've got one specific thing in common and it's that their respective Partners have left them for each other so Daphne is engaged she's already thinking about that special day and all these different things and although there are some hurdles in the relationship like overall it's an exciting thing to get engaged except when her fiance comes about and tells her that he is leaving her for his best friend because he doesn't actually love Daphne and he loves Pedra has loved her the entire time and so he's going with his one true love and so these two strike up an alliance because they not only room together but then they decide to travel around to different spots take pictures post them on social media to kind of allude to the fact of like oh my God yes Revenge relationship we kind of love and make everybody believe that there is something more than just this Alliance or this companionship and in classic Emily Henry fashion I'm sure there will be loads of contemporary elements in here talking more about the personal stuff about the heart- hitting stuff and although I really enjoyed happy plays that was an okay type of book I really want funny story to hit the same way that people who meet on vacation did so Emily Henry I am issuing an official challenge I challenge you to give me a five star book we'll see if it is or if it isn't but I'm hoping that it will be moving on to our next one we have got let's choose the this one right here it is not folded very properly ooh set in Europe oh my God set in Europe ooh well I know shadow of night for sure is set in Europe either Italy or France I'd have to double check honestly with the internet but I'm pretty sure that's what it entails if I'm not mistaken either way the basis of the book is in England so definitely Europe anyway regardless of where you know where everything happens and how things shift around the story what else do I have in here I think fantasy wise for the most most part they tend to take place in fictional world so as far as a real continent I feel like that's going to be a little bit harder to find so you know what let me just put Shadow Of Night in here because I have been talking so much recently about a discovery of witches that I have been meaning to get back into the series because I've only read the first book I got I don't even know how far I have the book right here actually cuz I have double copies of this one this is how far I got into the book I'll definitely be restarting it though and reading it from scratch because it's been a really really long time since I've picked this up and every time I've tried to just read the book at the point where I'm at right now I find that I don't connect fully I also know that this is a very slow book it is very historical as well in its nature and so I would rather restart it in this format annotate if need be and I don't know what that will look like for me but restart it and love it and enjoy it and so in a discovery of witches in the All Souls Trilogy we follow primarily Diana Bishop who is a witch that denounces her being a witch which she keeps that part of herself very much hidden and she goes about her daily life being a scholar at Oxford she spends her days in the bodle and Library performing her bouts of research and again really hiding that other area of her life except that she finds a very very important text that has been missing for a really long time and that nobody has been able to find but herself and that is the ashal 782 which in itself creates a lot of conflict between all of these different Supernatural species and then she ends up meeting a vampire by the name of Matthew who is very willing to help her out in this whole scenario but then they also have a very big attraction towards each other which also poses a lot of danger because interspecies romance is completely forbidden and so we've got a very layered conflict in the story that I really really quite love loads of mentions of Science and Alchemy and history which make the book even more interesting and so I think it is high time we read shadow of night this is a crazy TBR the moods and The Vibes are swinging too crazy but you know what this is the best kind of TBR so I'm excited about this we've got three more books to pick out I also love that the cats were going crazy in the background so if you hear any fighting any scratching any anything it's because the cats currently have the Zoomies that's our current landscape let us choose this one for our 1 2 3 4 5 sixth prompt and we've got oh a graphic novel now wait a second that's actually really great to kind of break up the books in between this is is really good so a graphic novel I am obviously going to go for a manga for this one now the question is which one do I want to go with because I actually have some really really good options at hand but I think I want something cozy PE hold the cat lady in me wants to pick a cat plus gamer I was recommended this by one of my patrons shout out to Caitlyn and I'm really really excited to read this I obviously got it physically and so I'm thinking this could be a nice comforting wholesome read to kind of throw in between books cat gamer is going to be my pick for my graphic novel all I know about this one is that we follow our main character Rico who works at an office and she is obsessed with video games and her life is suddenly appended when she finds a straight cat and it's basically about her life as a gamer off the office and also her racing this new cat I have been reading a man in his cat and I think that's been super super wholesome and amazing and so why not throw another cat manga in there life is too short not to maybe it's the talkop plasmosis but I love my cats and I love reading things about cats let us choose our an ultimate book and we are nearing the point of actually double-checking what is winning on Instagram which I'm very excited to see feel like throttle's going to win I think people are going to see that Formula 1 car and go M yes that one girl and this says top 10 in 2024 pick are you kidding me just so that you guys are aware I already have two of those books in my TBR the Thursday Murder Club paint the devils and potentially throttled if that makes its way into the list that's just much too funny it seems like the universe definitely wants me to be done with these as soon as possible okay so for top 10 in 2024 I think I'm going to go for the very secret society of irregular witches I think this would be a really cozy time for us here in Panama we are in our rain kind of tropical winter season so I feel like this would make good reading on a good rainy day and to go out to a coffee shop enjoy a cozy drink I feel like this could be a really really good one so I think this would be the best choice we could make and in the story we follow ma Moon who is one of the few witches in Britain and she kind of keeps herself isolated from the world because she knows that if she were to be around other witches their Magics would probably mingle in ways that would not be beneficial however she gets a very enticing invitation to teach three young witches how to really navigate their magic and to really take care of themselves but this cohabitating and teaching them will not be so easy because there are other people in set nowhere house where she'll need to go to including Jamie which is The house's librarian which she finds incredibly infuriating but also extremely attractive so it seems to have a found family aspect a romantic aspect fantasy aspect as well I'm really really looking forward to this I think this is a good choice I thought we had to pick one more book but apparently that is it so we can double check Instagram right now and see how the poll is doing and see what is winning and what our final book in our June TBR is going to be and it looks like addicted for now one are you serious are okay this obviously may change in the course of the next couple of hours hours to 24 hours but at least for now which is the period of time we need to really choose that book for our TBR addicted for now is sitting at 56% I don't know if you can properly see that because it's so bright but it is sitting at 56% right now so it looks like our last book for the TBR is going to be addicted for now by Christa and Becka Richie as I mentioned earlier we follow childhood best friends Lily and low who are addicts in their own right Lily is addicted to sex and low is addicted to alcohol and they have recently made the decision to properly start dating each other after fake dating for the longest time to hide their addictions from their families and so now as they are dating for real for the very first time they encounter a lot of the difficulties and a lot of the enabling and a lot of the toxicity that has been kind of everpresent in their relationship thus far but that they haven't really had to battle because they haven't been wanting to be in a proper relationship or they haven't been and so in the course of the past couple of books we've been seeing them really battle not only each other out but themselves out to be the best version of themselves possible so that when this relationship moves along it can move along in the best ways possible that's what the series is about I'm very very excited to get addicted for now red so this is the last book in the TBR it's a hefty TBR but it's a good one and that is it for today friends that is our TBR prom jar chooses our June reads I love that I say our it's a collective thing surely but that is it for today I hope that you guys enjoyed this one I love the way that the TBR came out this month I'm not even going to lie I think it looks quite good good half of the TBR are fantasy books while the other half is interpers between romance Thrillers and manga which I think is going to be a really really great time for me so give this video a thumbs up if you guys enjoyed it as always comment down below what you'll be reading for the month of June I love seeing you guys' TBR as well seeing if there's any overlap if you have read any of the books I talked about today it is time to renew our TBR card and you know what we've got a cat chilling at the bottom upset tpr card it's a great time for all of us the whole family's involved and I'm very excited to pick out my June TBR with you guys so as always every single month that happens welcome to my TBR prompt jar chois my June reads so very excited about this look at what we did last month we actually went through the task of refolding everything I've been saying it for months this thing was too filled up to the rim it wouldn't even allow me to properly pick out the prompts and so I took everything out last month I refolded it and we are here with a nice compact TBR prompt jar that will hopefully allow us to fish a little bit better for the promps I already kind of know which books I want to go in hear more in depth about all of these in my rap B you guys already know how it works got what the Ever Knows managed to finish this this month that was also kind of okay our wives under the sea was a good time Indigo Rich was okay but it was a good time which then means that I have got four books left over in my TBR this month honestly not that bad both of these books right here at the time of and we've got oh a by po author we can definitely do that so this is our prompt to start out with and I think I will utilize this one to actually include my June book club pick in here love that V moved the camera just a little bit but I really do think the best course of action always with these tbrs is to get my patreon book clipic in here immediately so that everything else after that can just be either a mood read or something that I've been really looking forward to outside of my mandatory read so this is the song of the six Realms I'm very very excited about this I've never read a Judy I Linn book even though a magic steeped in Poison was super super big when it came out but I'm very excited to make this my very first one and obviously depending on how this goes I may just get a magic steeped and poison with a quickness because that one also looks really really good and the cover for it is really really stunning but in this one we follow our main character jouer who is a Young musician she was orphaned from a really young age and so her safe haven really is the place that she works at and one day she encounters a Duke who seems to really enjoy the music that she's playing and he gives her the offer of a lifetime to come to his Manner and basically just play music for him and him alone turns out that he wasn't really honest about who he is though because it turns out that he is one of the deities of the Gods in the celestial realm and as she gets there she is told that the celestial realm is in Peril and she seems to hold the key to the answer however even though she is the key to defeating all of these demonic Monsters the rest of the celestial rulers in the Celestial Kingdom definitely want her gone specifically because of her ability and things go from there it's set to be a Gothic fantasy but it's also mixing so many other elements of what I typically enjoy like deities and a Celestial realm and demonic monsters to defeat and music and so it sounds like such a cool book I'm hoping that it is every bit the hit I wanted and need it to be and so this is going to be our very first book into the TBR and I am so very happy that we managed to get that immediately in as we got started and listen I always say it if you guys want extra content live shows a book club a Discord server and just to overall support the channel a little bit extra patreon is definitely the place to be so that's always linked Down Below in case you guys want to read song of the six Realms alongside the rest of us or if you want to join for our other book club picks or for our other activities that is always linked down below so for our second prompt let us choose ooh this one feels small baby okay I'm a little bit scared it feels tiny but let's see what this says this says forward title oh my God I don't know what to do for this one guys I am very very torn I have got two romance that I'd love to put into my TBR this month so let me just show them I have got love on the brain by Ali Hazelwood but also just for the summer by Abby humz so I don't know what to do because this can definitely go into my July TBR no problem and it really makes no difference so I'm leaning love on the brain but like I also really want to read this what to do I think I'm going to go with love on the brain for this one this is the only stem book of her series I have not read yet this is all I'm missing to kind of complete that series and we follow our main character bee who basically asks herself in every instance what would Marie krie do and if she thinks that she wouldn't do it then she doesn't do it either and that question seems to come up a lot in the book especially as she has now offered a new neuroengineering project at Nasa and she realizes that that entails working with Levi her arch nemesis since they were in school together and that in itself poses a little bit of an issue not only because they don't really get along but also because she finds him really really attractive and then things get even more crappy when everybody at the lab starts treating her kind of bad they start hiding her stuff from her and ignoring her a lot so it makes the job even more difficult and so then he starts kind of sympathizing and softening down a little bit toward her and things go from there I'm sure the romance is going to be good because Ali Hazelwood is the queen of R it I love her so much and so this will go right into the TBR as our very first romance book for June it's time for our third prompt okay let us see what we get for our third one I don't know where I want to pick from I feel like let's go right smack down the middle and this one feels small too this says if I can open it oh my God book with a playlist ooh baby that's a romance if I've ever seen one a book with playlist okay what books do I own that have a playlist okay I feel like maybe the addicted books would have a I think I know what's going to end up in my T oh my gosh I'm scared but maybe the addicted series would have a playlist I feel like this is optimal playlist type of book cuz it's so angsty I just oh it doesn't oh my God it doesn't have a playlist does it have a playlist in the back it's got text messages but I don't think it has oh my God I don't think it does wow oh no it does okay bonus playlist listen I knew this was going to have one okay so we have got addicted for now which is the third book in the addicted series and it does have a playlist I still need to read this book I need to catch up to Kristen because she already read this and I did not cuz I forgot to put it in my MBR so addicted for now could be a good option I think and maybe I'm ready to go back into the addicted World also another book that has a playlist that is actually a part of my 10 books to read in 202 for list so this could also really be a good option I am thinking is throttled by Lauren Asher I'm pretty sure I saw a playlist in here yeah of course it's got a playlist both of these books were self-published before they went into the traditionally published route was this ever traditionally published I don't know that throttle ever was but I know for sure obviously this has got a playlist does anything else I own romance bookwise have a playlist does Daisy hates have a playlist do I want to do that to myself we can dou a tick I don't think the mnia books have a playlist I don't think it does the hot days here in Panama lately have been hot as hell this book is Toasty it is so freaking hot so does this have a playlist of any kind I don't yeah know I think the book just starts right away I feel like Archer's Voice would also have a playlist does it not it also doesn't have a playlist okay let's just choose out of these two so we have got throttled by Lauren Nasher and addicted for now I've talked about the addicted series a lot here on my channel and then throttled is a Formula 1 romance I think this may be a ask for Instagram honestly because I don't think I can make a choice on these two I'm so torn put up a poll on Instagram and see what you guys say and make a choice from there we've got the picture in question a picture where you guys cannot see the titles so that you vote more impartially if we will and I'll just put in emojis so that you guys don't know at all what this is and I will double check at the end of the video and we'll Circle back to this one here's the final Instagram post we'll see what you guys say and I'll Circle back by the the time that we get to number eight and so while that simmers on Instagram and you guys make the choices without really knowing what you're voting for let us move on to our is it fourth yes let's move on to our fourth prompt I was confused I was like how many am I choosing okay let us go for our fourth prompt let's go for this one and this one says I'm scared paperback read oh my God can we pretend funny stories at paperback now that's cheating listen there are plenty of unread books in these shelves so finding a paperback that is unread should not be an issue question is do I want that paperback to be a literary fiction do I want that paperback to be a romance o do I want it to be a thriller hold up let me get a few options I'm getting excited now clear we've got too many options so I pulled out Renegades by Marissa Meyer I pulled out finale by Stephanie Garber I pulled out Blood of Elves by Andre salowski I pulled out Shadow Of Night by debah Harkness but then also the Thursday Murder Club by Richard Oman what do I do when I pulled out the prompt realistically this was the first thing I thought of the Thursday Murder Club so that was like one of the initial thoughts second thing I thought of was shadow of night and so I don't know what to do here let's also put Renegades in there and finale as well am I ready to finish this series I don't know maybe I am maybe I am okay let's put finale in there and blood ofal too everything sounds so good the Town was in Flames I know it is I know it is the ending of Sword of Destiny I know I think this has been the most indecisive TBR I've ever had and I apologize in advance because what the heck is this killing someone is easy hiding the body now that's usually the hard part that's how you get caught I was lucky enough to stumble upon the right place though the perfect place really I come back from time to time just to make sure everything is still safe and sound it always is and I suppose it always will be sometimes I'll have a cigar which I know I shouldn't but it's my only Vice oh that sounds good that sounds oh let's start with Elizabeth shall we and see where that gets us that sounds so good I think I'm going to go with the Thursday mder club which is also another one of my 10 books to read in 2024 guys guys if we get throttled as well that'll be two books in here and I think paint the Devils is in that list too wait a second oh that' be good that' be good good okay so I'm going with the Thursday Murder Club for this one I put this into my 10 books to read this year and I'm very very excited exced about this so in this one we follow a group of elderly people who live in a retirement village and they convene once a week to discuss different murders and cold cases and just murder mysteries in general and they call themselves The Thursday Murder Club however things get a little extra interesting when a local developer is found dead with a mysterious photograph right beside the body and they figure who best to solve this crime than us cuz we already do this weekly sounds very exciting it sounds very cozy I know people really love this series think it's high time I start with this one I think it's TI time I read it in general so this goes right in and I think this is amazing because we didn't really get a thriller right last month so I think this is going to be good I don't know if it applies there like a thriller mystery more of a mystery more of a cozy mystery but either way anything in that vein I think is a nice little switch up in genres for the following month and so going to be good hopefully we are halfway through the choosing friends let us get our fifth prompt let me go for this one is this one or more than one okay this is one favorite color in cover again I think we got this last month didn't we Okay so we've got favorite color in cover I established the conversation in that video that I do not particularly have a favorite color I have got colors that I gravitate toward colors that I like more than others but if I had to define a single one that I like best out of everything I would not be able to do so however in that video I mentioned different shades of green are typically things I gravitate toward whether it's matcha green a muted green I typically gravitate towards pinks as well whether that's a pastel pink or a really really hot pink like Barbie pink whatever pink I typically really like which is a turn of events cuz I didn't like it when I was younger and then purple whether that's lilac Periwinkle any shade of purple really I typically also really like and I am keeping that specific prompt because you know what it's perfect for funny story I obviously am very excited about funny story by Emily Henry I ended up getting myself the physical because of the spine I don't know if you guys have seen the spine but it is the most gorgeous thing ever I love the little lemons just going throughout it and so I decided to get it physically instead of just getting the ebook and I'm hoping that I I really really love this it's obviously a Periwinkle shade and I think it's perfect for this one so we're going to go with funny story and the drama honey with this one I absolutely loves it we follow our two main characters Daphne and Miles who are very much Polar Opposites but they've got one specific thing in common and it's that their respective Partners have left them for each other so Daphne is engaged she's already thinking about that special day and all these different things and although there are some hurdles in the relationship like overall it's an exciting thing to get engaged except when her fiance comes about and tells her that he is leaving her for his best friend because he doesn't actually love Daphne and he loves Pedra has loved her the entire time and so he's going with his one true love and so these two strike up an alliance because they not only room together but then they decide to travel around to different spots take pictures post them on social media to kind of allude to the fact of like oh my God yes Revenge relationship we kind of love and make everybody believe that there is something more than just this Alliance or this companionship and in classic Emily Henry fashion I'm sure there will be loads of contemporary elements in here talking more about the personal stuff about the heart- hitting stuff and although I really enjoyed happy plays that was an okay type of book I really want funny story to hit the same way that people who meet on vacation did so Emily Henry I am issuing an official challenge I challenge you to give me a five star book we'll see if it is or if it isn't but I'm hoping that it will be moving on to our next one we have got let's choose the this one right here it is not folded very properly ooh set in Europe oh my God set in Europe ooh well I know shadow of night for sure is set in Europe either Italy or France I'd have to double check honestly with the internet but I'm pretty sure that's what it entails if I'm not mistaken either way the basis of the book is in England so definitely Europe anyway regardless of where you know where everything happens and how things shift around the story what else do I have in here I think fantasy wise for the most most part they tend to take place in fictional world so as far as a real continent I feel like that's going to be a little bit harder to find so you know what let me just put Shadow Of Night in here because I have been talking so much recently about a discovery of witches that I have been meaning to get back into the series because I've only read the first book I got I don't even know how far I have the book right here actually cuz I have double copies of this one this is how far I got into the book I'll definitely be restarting it though and reading it from scratch because it's been a really really long time since I've picked this up and every time I've tried to just read the book at the point where I'm at right now I find that I don't connect fully I also know that this is a very slow book it is very historical as well in its nature and so I would rather restart it in this format annotate if need be and I don't know what that will look like for me but restart it and love it and enjoy it and so in a discovery of witches in the All Souls Trilogy we follow primarily Diana Bishop who is a witch that denounces her being a witch which she keeps that part of herself very much hidden and she goes about her daily life being a scholar at Oxford she spends her days in the bodle and Library performing her bouts of research and again really hiding that other area of her life except that she finds a very very important text that has been missing for a really long time and that nobody has been able to find but herself and that is the ashal 782 which in itself creates a lot of conflict between all of these different Supernatural species and then she ends up meeting a vampire by the name of Matthew who is very willing to help her out in this whole scenario but then they also have a very big attraction towards each other which also poses a lot of danger because interspecies romance is completely forbidden and so we've got a very layered conflict in the story that I really really quite love loads of mentions of Science and Alchemy and history which make the book even more interesting and so I think it is high time we read shadow of night this is a crazy TBR the moods and The Vibes are swinging too crazy but you know what this is the best kind of TBR so I'm excited about this we've got three more books to pick out I also love that the cats were going crazy in the background so if you hear any fighting any scratching any anything it's because the cats currently have the Zoomies that's our current landscape let us choose this one for our 1 2 3 4 5 sixth prompt and we've got oh a graphic novel now wait a second that's actually really great to kind of break up the books in between this is is really good so a graphic novel I am obviously going to go for a manga for this one now the question is which one do I want to go with because I actually have some really really good options at hand but I think I want something cozy PE hold the cat lady in me wants to pick a cat plus gamer I was recommended this by one of my patrons shout out to Caitlyn and I'm really really excited to read this I obviously got it physically and so I'm thinking this could be a nice comforting wholesome read to kind of throw in between books cat gamer is going to be my pick for my graphic novel all I know about this one is that we follow our main character Rico who works at an office and she is obsessed with video games and her life is suddenly appended when she finds a straight cat and it's basically about her life as a gamer off the office and also her racing this new cat I have been reading a man in his cat and I think that's been super super wholesome and amazing and so why not throw another cat manga in there life is too short not to maybe it's the talkop plasmosis but I love my cats and I love reading things about cats let us choose our an ultimate book and we are nearing the point of actually double-checking what is winning on Instagram which I'm very excited to see feel like throttle's going to win I think people are going to see that Formula 1 car and go M yes that one girl and this says top 10 in 2024 pick are you kidding me just so that you guys are aware I already have two of those books in my TBR the Thursday Murder Club paint the devils and potentially throttled if that makes its way into the list that's just much too funny it seems like the universe definitely wants me to be done with these as soon as possible okay so for top 10 in 2024 I think I'm going to go for the very secret society of irregular witches I think this would be a really cozy time for us here in Panama we are in our rain kind of tropical winter season so I feel like this would make good reading on a good rainy day and to go out to a coffee shop enjoy a cozy drink I feel like this could be a really really good one so I think this would be the best choice we could make and in the story we follow ma Moon who is one of the few witches in Britain and she kind of keeps herself isolated from the world because she knows that if she were to be around other witches their Magics would probably mingle in ways that would not be beneficial however she gets a very enticing invitation to teach three young witches how to really navigate their magic and to really take care of themselves but this cohabitating and teaching them will not be so easy because there are other people in set nowhere house where she'll need to go to including Jamie which is The house's librarian which she finds incredibly infuriating but also extremely attractive so it seems to have a found family aspect a romantic aspect fantasy aspect as well I'm really really looking forward to this I think this is a good choice I thought we had to pick one more book but apparently that is it so we can double check Instagram right now and see how the poll is doing and see what is winning and what our final book in our June TBR is going to be and it looks like addicted for now one are you serious are okay this obviously may change in the course of the next couple of hours hours to 24 hours but at least for now which is the period of time we need to really choose that book for our TBR addicted for now is sitting at 56% I don't know if you can properly see that because it's so bright but it is sitting at 56% right now so it looks like our last book for the TBR is going to be addicted for now by Christa and Becka Richie as I mentioned earlier we follow childhood best friends Lily and low who are addicts in their own right Lily is addicted to sex and low is addicted to alcohol and they have recently made the decision to properly start dating each other after fake dating for the longest time to hide their addictions from their families and so now as they are dating for real for the very first time they encounter a lot of the difficulties and a lot of the enabling and a lot of the toxicity that has been kind of everpresent in their relationship thus far but that they haven't really had to battle because they haven't been wanting to be in a proper relationship or they haven't been and so in the course of the past couple of books we've been seeing them really battle not only each other out but themselves out to be the best version of themselves possible so that when this relationship moves along it can move along in the best ways possible that's what the series is about I'm very very excited to get addicted for now red so this is the last book in the TBR it's a hefty TBR but it's a good one and that is it for today friends that is our TBR prom jar chooses our June reads I love that I say our it's a collective thing surely but that is it for today I hope that you guys enjoyed this one I love the way that the TBR came out this month I'm not even going to lie I think it looks quite good good half of the TBR are fantasy books while the other half is interpers between romance Thrillers and manga which I think is going to be a really really great time for me so give this video a thumbs up if you guys enjoyed it as always comment down below what you'll be reading for the month of June I
