**Redmi 5A Review: A Budget-Friendly Android Device**
The Redmi 5A is a budget-friendly Android device that offers a range of features at an affordable price. The device boasts a micro USB port along with the main microphone on the right, which houses the power button and volume buttons. These are pretty tactile and provide a good user experience. On top of the device, you'll find a secondary noise cancellation microphone, infrared blaster, and a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack.
**Design and Build**
The Redmi 5A has a symmetrical design on the left side, allowing users to insert two SIM cards and a micro SD card simultaneously. The back of the device features a primary 13 megapixel camera with an F/2.2 aperture, accompanied by an LED flash and autofocus capabilities. The shell of the device is completely plastic, but it feels comfortable in one hand, making it easy to use with average-sized hands.
**Performance**
The Redmi 5A is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4K chipset with a quad-core 1.4 GHz CPU for graphics, backed by the Adreno 308 GPU internally. The device houses 16 GB of storage and can be expanded up to 256 GB using a micro SD card. It also comes equipped with 2 GB of RAM, which should provide smooth performance for everyday tasks.
**Display**
The Redmi 5A features a 13-inch display, but the actual size is not mentioned in the text. The user interface is based on Xiaomi's MIUI, and it offers various display modes, including warm light mode and contrast adjustments. There is also a second space option that allows users to have two simultaneous installs of the operating system.
**Camera**
The Redmi 5A has a 13 megapixel main camera, accompanied by the standard Xiaomi camera interface. It features options such as HDR, panorama, timer, full manual mode, beautifu mode, and tilt shift mode. The front camera is a five-megapixel autofocus camera that comes equipped with features like beauty mode, smart mode, and filters.
**Battery Life**
The Redmi 5A has a non-replaceable battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh, which should provide decent battery life for the device. However, users will have to stick to using passcodes or PINs to secure their screen, as there is no fingerprint sensor available on this device.
**Gaming and Other Features**
Unfortunately, there are some notable features missing from the Redmi 5A, including a fingerprint sensor and face unlock capabilities. This may be a drawback for some users. However, the device still offers smooth performance for everyday tasks, and its affordable price point makes it an attractive option for those looking for a budget-friendly Android device.
**Conclusion**
The Redmi 5A is a solid option for those looking for a budget-friendly Android device with a range of features at an affordable price. While it may not have all the bells and whistles, it offers smooth performance, a good camera, and a comfortable design that makes it easy to use with one hand. With its non-replaceable battery and lack of fingerprint sensor or face unlock capabilities, users will need to adapt to using passcodes or PINs to secure their screen.
