My Review of Go Maps for iOS Platform: A Fun and Convenient Navigation Experience

I recently had the opportunity to try out Go Maps, a navigation app that offers a unique set of features and capabilities. One feature that I really love about Go Maps is its integration with photos. Let's search Disney World for this video's purpose and I'm typing from the side let's say there we go Walt Disney World Resort in Lake buano Vista Florida sorry if I said that sort of wrong let's change the view again to hybrid it just looks better looking at those trees so tapping the IE icon brings up more information and this time unlike Seaside we can get photos built right into Go Maps so look at that very nice we can see photos of this Walt Disney World Resort looks good to me. Exciting to go back to this main screen and yes we can even do street view which we all know and love on Google Maps I'm sure although right there doesn't look like it's going to give a straight view cu we're in the middle of trees so let's go back to Seaside Heights shall we because I know that definitely works cuz I was trying this out yesterday so doing the eye icon again tapping street view and look at that very nice and conveniently look at this for my longtime viewers it drops me off right at 7-Eleven which you guys have seen in my Seaside videos for at least what 6 or seven years now so yes of course this is street view something we all know and love I mean I don't know anyone who doesn't like street view it's always fun to just well literally go on the street okay maybe not literally virtually and kind of just look around and have fun and you never know what you may find.

Let's go back to the home screen again let's do one more search and this time let's do a search by keyword this is something I really like so let's do pizza in San Francisco and it automatically drops all those pins for pizza shops or pizza places whatever you want to say in San Francisco let's tap one let's get a little closer let's tap that pin and see what comes up so we have Village Pizzeria at 12:43 vanest Avenue in San Francisco California and if you guys know where that is comment below maybe I'm buying your house you never know so tapping the eye icon brings up more information and if you want to get a street view of that because we're going there for the first time then we can and would you look at that Village Pizzeria it could not be easier. Let's do another search let's go across the globe this time let's do pet store in London and you know what it doesn't care if I'm in America or Japan or whatever it's still found pet stores in London which is pretty incredible if you think about it so tapping that icon we found that pet shop on 4042 Amhurst Road in London United Kingdom tapping the IE takes a second brings up photos so we can get photos of this Pet Shop in the UK which is really nice going out of there let's get a street view which is always fascinating and there it is guys we're actually in the UK right now very very cool. Now I understand street view is nothing new but the fact that it's all integrated within one app including a 7-day forecast that's just the killer feature in my eyes.

All right so I just did one final search for Seaside Heights and yes can you guys tell I love Seaside it's just been a family vacation tradition of ours for years now and we just love it there so I figured it's a great example okay anyway we're back in Seaside now what if I wanted to drop a pin on a random street well I can let's just scroll up and let's zoom in right around where it says Herbert Street I think so let's drop a pin on Herbert Street by holding down our finger and there you go Herbert Street and mataka New Jersey which I've actually heard of that place I don't think I've ever been there though tapping an eye we can still do street view even though we did a random PIN which is very nice and there you go well as you can see there was obviously a lot of traffic that day which is actually kind of fascinating if you think about it and over here it looks like a giant empty lot it's actually pretty interesting it looks like they're building something maybe condos and there's Christy our governor very cool and there you have it my review of Go Maps for the iOS platform as you can hopefully tell I did enjoy it very much and I will continue to use it over time.

the service that we all know and love but with much much more this includes Maps functionality obviously directions street view which who doesn't love street view photos and reviews of specific locations and even which is actually my favorite a 7-day weather forecast for practically any location on this plan and speaking of that I believe go Maps is the first mapping app ever to include a 7-day weather forecast so that's definitely something you want to keep in mind it's just a feature that I found to be very convenient all right enough with this intro guys I hope you enjoy the review and I will see you at the end of the video all right so jumping into go maps on my iPhone 5S this is the main screen you'll see as soon as you open up the app and basically this is where you access all of the main features so in the top left we have the little directions icon tapping that brings up your current location or otherwise known as your from address as well as your to address and then we have avoid tolls avoid highways which is pretty convenient depending upon on the route you want to take and of course up top here we have your different Transportation types via car via bike via walking if you're feeling dangerous or public transportation also known as a bus and now jumping back to the home screen up top here we have other features such as places via contacts which I don't currently have set up we also have map types so just like in Google maps you can do normal satellite hybrid and terrain now my personal favorite is hybrid that way I get that satellite view as well as Road names we also have traffic patterns right here as I tap the wrong icon there you go traffic patterns we can turn that off for now and finally last but not least we can do our current location which I will not do just for the purpose of this video and for well obvious reasons and of course we cannot forget this may not be a main feature but it's always important to explore we do have a settings menu in the top right this is where we can change our detailed weather so if you want that detailed weather forecast for your 7-day forecast then you can we have imperial units which I currently have turned off because I'm a Fahrenheit kind of person and finally last but not least we have all the you know all the legal talk as well as send feedback request support and watch tutorials which takes you to the Developers YouTube channel all right so going back to the home screen what do you say we search for our first location let's go to Seaside Heights now I'm typing this from the side of my camera so hopefully I get this right there you go Seaside Heist New Jersey and as you can see it automatically finds location and drops the pin and now on the bottom here this is where all the magic starts to happen it says Seaside Heist New Jersey USA which is pretty obvious but tapping the eye icon brings up more information otherwise known as details so here we can view the Google+ URL street view the 7-day forecast which is a very handy feature so as you can see as of today on Wednesday I'm recording this it's 44° F mostly cloudy then tomorrow Thursday it's mostly cloudy until the evening Friday light rain overnight and the weekend looks like it's going to be a little windy and pretty much well rain all right so I got to say my favorite future about go map so far is definitely the 7-day forecast this is just a very convenient feature if you're traveling to somewhere and you just need to know the weather forecast for at least the next few days and plus guys let's be honest I know a lot of weather Buffs are really going to appreciate this feature it's just very convenient so tapping the top right icon we bring out more actions for Seaside Heights New Jersey we can bookmark that location or we can get directions from Seaside or directions to Seaside so selecting directions from let's go from Seaside Heights to what do you say San Francisco California and let's avoid highways let's make it extra long rout it or route it depending upon what you say it's going to take a second okay so without highways it's going to take at least 2 days and 9 hours which is pretty insane as you can see we have to literally travel across the country but it does give you stepbystep navigation which is very nice especially considering I have no idea how to get to California from New Jersey it's going to be a very very long trip all right so going back to the home screen let's search for a location because I really want to show you guys another feature that I really love about go maps and that's included photo integration so let's search Disney World for this video's purpose and I'm typing from the side let's say there we go Walt Disney World Resort
