Yeah, it’s like why like that? It’s just weird right—not only that, it’s not a tie cam; it’s not a lucid a tie can—there’s at least nine screens you look at least nine screens yeah.
So for this, it’s like all right, wait a minute: Why would it make this one-point piece, but you have this here and you can put photos of your kids? was driving out because I traded my ex for this yeah in Pennsylvania model X yeah yeah I know I know so you know yeah so I'm charging you know and when I hit 30 yeah it comes out of the game great then it just comes down comes down this thing is an animal like it doesn't drop off really usually after like the the 20 25 it's just like yeah hammering at like 70 really not even close Electrify America and I watch all the videos like Kyle from out of spec and all these other guys that like go to Electrify America and we're looking for the handshake and it doesn't work and I go none of that really pulled up I plugged in went to the machine it said continue I hit that and boom then it just ramped up and it was just hammering that's awesome man and it doesn't drop off is there is there is would this car cost if it was a Turbo S it'd be a 200 000 company yeah with the options that's what this has that's crazy this is beautiful now this is what an interior is supposed to look like remember the baby blue tie cam this is this is nice this is nice look at this look at this the matching red accents this is an interior not that great yeah that finger swipe oh wait wait she likes it like that she likes and three oh this is great was the back door too you have the foot kick on this one yeah we'll get this magic sleeted this is a bed Mark I'm doing these in the front door it's like a boy for the floor mats yeah oh Mark I don't do that Mark don't do that Mark Mark you were doing so well with the wheel you can't put that as formats good hopefully an oil tycoon very striking and futuristic looks and an overall great attempt by Hyundai now the UI wasn't really all that great but the power is good especially in sport mode you get about a five second zero to 60. now the car we tested was about 55 000 for the all-wheel drive version and it can easily get to 60 if you keep adding things now the ionic has an awesome 800 volt charging architecture for very very fast charging and it deserves to win every award it has so far it's a very cool nice refreshing newcomer now truthfully I'd rather have one over a model 3 and the tech in the ionic falls behind the model 3 but keep in mind the ionic Israel isn't that bad it does offer some really cool self-driving features similar to AP1 in the Tesla just less whiny now the ionic is a great price for an EV what I mean is unfortunately for the 55k mark You're cross shopping with other cars including gas it's not that great of a value compared to an Acura MDX it has more luxury and more features and more room the Pathfinder the Grand Cherokee the Volkswagen Atlas and a nicely equipped Audi Q5 the ionic handily gets its rear end pushed in by those cars offering more features for the same money but for an EV it decided to find a car we really liked and do a really basic Mini review on it we also do not want to work on the C4 we will literally buy an electric Hyundai economy car than work on the C4 Corvette also this is a compliance video because a lot of people complaining blah I can't show this video to my kids or wife or girlfriend this is a non-cringe video for you because you've been complaining so it brand new for eight thousand dollars and sell it after a year for 1500. they were ugly they were slow they were a definitive economy car and it showed Hyundais were hard to love but the rumors they enough disposable income to rent cars for videos so Stephen um I've been sitting in this car for about 30 seconds and there's a couple things that I've noticed but there is an overall theme to this car is simple very simple car I do like the black dashboard and the the white door panels that's kind of neat it brings my attention to these screens here look at this very carefully these two screens are the same size this screen I believe is probably like maybe like 79 on Amazon and so is that one wind screens however if they had one long flowing screen it would have cost them more they decided to save I don't know maybe like forty dollars and have this Gap here it's like a gap tooth yeah it's like why like that is it's just weird right not only that it's not a tie cam it's not it's not a lucid a tie can there's at least nine screens you look at least nine screens yeah so for this it's like all right wait a minute why would it make this one point piece but you have this here and you can put uh photos of your kids you could have a picture of um your significant other using another uh of Jesus Jesus Jesus Christo and that'll kind of tell you how does it go again don't drive faster oh don't don't drive faster than your guardian angel can fly yeah can fly yeah right there just that's an ideal spot for that but overall it's it's not it doesn't seem I haven't driven it really so you you would you would know a little bit more but this is this is interesting this is you know what I mean like usually simple usually this is here but it's almost like they like what goes here like could just sense that you're not sitting in the seat and once you leave the car shuts off I don't think these seat 70 sensors is probably not no airbags nothing if you crash you crash the steering wheel is cute yeah that's what I think of the word upside down it looks upside down yeah it looks upside down this is better it makes more yeah well this looks better but then this should be flipped around right because it's kind of like yeah you don't have the flat on the top yeah that looks kind of weird no it's it's a oh yeah man this is this was a design choice for a car that's as hard angled as it is on the outside yeah this inside feels it feels soft simple it's soft yeah so what's what's quiet mode what's this there's a little sleeping lion front seats uh volume low level okay cool that's neat yeah the interface is pretty it's pretty Snappy 57 warmer so you have to touch a button to heat your seats so it's not like a it's not an instant thing on the it's not a quick push button yeah okay so this topographical uh bit is fascinating no it froze for a second yeah well you know all right so EV I know that I know that this is neat so this is one of the things they explained to me is kind of like the advantage this EV will show you the difference between if you have your air conditioning on or off for this side which not saying that Tesla doesn't do that and others don't but this is a little bit more drawn out for you well see that yeah they have winter mode okay I like how it says may deteriorate this is as much as a guarantee yes yeah it might death in taxes but it's going to yeah right yeah no kidding how do you figure out what a charge how about that okay go to navigation let's go navigation uh destinations traffic yeah Hyundai dealerships I'm not seeing chart you would expect this to be a little bit more let's go to EV charging stations there you go there it is there you go 14 miles away that's not bad it's a DC first charge this is what I'm this okay yep I want to be that guy no penalty if you but I know you could charge at home yep but like I mean you're more likely to Target Whole Foods let's be real No One's Gonna charge there Whole Foods right DC fast wait is this fast what do these tell you what is a little little thing tell you what does that mean we have to check the menu on that one yeah that's yellow but that's green DC plus like it's not obvious yeah this is not a very good interface at all like it doesn't what that's distance cool and that's by name it should specify you know people want to know the kilowatts what's the speed it doesn't tell you anything so that's helpful I mean again we have to be mindful this is a Hyundai okay I'm not being a jerk but I didn't know what it was because of these yeah this is an airbag what is what kind of car is this this is not a very good menu to use like I've seen even this is like a menu at a backdoor Chinese restaurant seriously yeah without the pictures I know I know you hate that I don't I don't know what number I don't know what combination plate number six I don't know what that is this is weird to me it's like wait is that I I you'd think when you push that that would either light up or disappear right no there's a button above that that changes it we're not dog demiro here we never claim to be but we're we're realists here okay the car is quirky and it does have features that I don't know what else what does that remind you of what oh gosh look at it from here I have to vibrate that's weird doesn't this look like the Tesla fidget spinner she's gonna love it okay I know I'm single but why is this vibrated you've got any jokes it does yeah it does loved it yeah this looks just like that but yeah so this is you you twist this look oh you twist it drive reverse and some things that you can't get away with every Parts finish it's not it's not bad but what what are these Steven what do these normally go for 54 Grand man that's a lot of money shooting star exterior what I would do is I would when I went online to Hyundai I would go to the uh ionic five pick the specs I want throw them away and then go on porsche.com in order to take in is that the where's this coming from I don't know the sensor was actually pretty good for you oh it's in the front it's like oh it's like a weird office oh oh no this one does that too Hondas do that yeah it's kind of loud too is it like Angelic yeah yeah because the Honda has that like voice of an Angel sound for its uh hybrids this is this is I don't know it's not it's not bad this this little folded paper thing is interesting what is that what is what is what is that that's just how their Dash is set up like that's for your miles per hour that's for your charge and whatnot this thing this looks like a winged maxi pad the accent outside though I really like the extra area of this car huh okay how big of a dog goes back there uh you could feed a German Shepherd but he won't be happy would biscuit like it oh biscuit just yeah it's uh is it a foot thing yeah aren't they all yeah aren't they all foot these days the foot fetish people it's big it's nice man that's what she said it's nice what's under here really isn't it level two attack to the AP one days of Tesla but sometimes that's not bad because when you see a bridge in the distance your car doesn't start crying and freak out that's a plus what does this do so those paddles are for regen holy that regen's pretty all right yeah that's kind of interesting it's the first time I've seen that oh wow yeah you can get the regime pretty strong also do you merely control the radio on on demand change oh that's so cool so if you're in like a really hilly area if you if you're a person that doesn't like driving a regen right here like right here oh that's kind of cool yeah that's a neat feature I'll give you that this no this is a really nice car again 60 Grand dude I got out of my pocket so this is the other problem run into right now as as Squirrely and as as uh hokey you want to get with it yeah you can't because this has to get home like we just passed three gas stations literally three gas stations ready why don't we just get all futuristic looks and an overall great attempt by Hyundai now the UI wasn't really all that great but the power is good especially in sport mode you get about a five second zero to 60. now the car we tested was about 55 000 for the all-wheel drive version and it can easily get to 60 if you keep adding things now the ionic has an awesome 800 volt charging architecture for very very fast charging and it deserves to win every award it has so far it's a very cool nice refreshing newcomer now truthfully I'd rather have one over a model 3 and the tech in the ionic falls behind the model 3 but keep in mind the ionic Israel isn't that bad it does offer some really cool self-driving features similar to AP1 in the Tesla just less whiny now the ionic is a great price for an EV what I mean is unfortunately for the 55k mark You're cross shopping with other cars including gas it's not that great of a value compared to an Acura MDX it has more luxury and more features and more room the Pathfinder the Grand Cherokee the Volkswagen Atlas and a nicely equipped Audi Q5 the ionic handily gets its rear end pushed in by those cars offering more features for the same money but for an EV it is an absolute great car and I would happily drive one with no tint on it and be seen in it so before you ionic 5 and Kia ev6 owners get mad I really like your cars so much that I would buy one for my
