keto diet before i'm gonna try to do two to three weeks of this keto diet i had one of my friends that did it and she was like i feel better i am far less bloated and she also lost some weight with it which was a huge plus um for me i've been dealing with a lot of like bloating situations and also i've been eating incredibly unhealthy and i've gotten to a fairly non-ideal place um for like i'm kind of figuring it out day by day but i did go shopping yesterday to get some kind of starter supplies and i will share my meals with you guys through this journey i do not plan to share my beginning or end weight but i will share with you guys how many pounds i lose hi hunter hunter has come to join and wish me luck wow day one and i already forgot to show you guys my coffee when i first made it um so i just made some espresso coffee and i put some coffee creamer in here all right it is about noon and i'm really hungry so i have this for the scramble so it's just um yellow onion and then some orange and red bell pepper and i'm sauteing it in butter so today i'm gonna try three eggs all right i'm getting really hungry for a snack so i'm going to have one of these happy belly string cheeses okay so i'm starving again so i'm gonna have a strawberry yogurt i i think this is keto right i'm eating it anyway i think it is it is 2 45 and i am starving again so i have one large tomato in here and three-fourths of a cucumber with some feta cheese and then here is the italian vinaigrette that i used i'm just so hungry my friend said this would happen because um like if you rely heavily on carbs that's like really heavy and so going to a much lighter like diet is going to be difficult so for a couple days so so i'm excited for this to pass because it's day one i'm kind of miserable um for the breakfast thing i didn't tell you guys but i used about like three fourths of a cup of like veggies with the egg so it was it was a good amount of food but i'm just so hungry i'm so hungry so i think i'm also going to have like a liquid iv maybe i'm just like craving nutrients or maybe like i want something with flavors like sip on or like eat you know what i mean i don't i don't know i don't know if i'm actually like hungry or i'm like craving eating all right i'm mixing this passion fruit liquid iv in this water bottle and i guess i'll have that as a i don't know sip on it to keep me interested all right it is five o'clock and i'm getting hungry again so i have a couple slices of this dry salami and then i'm going to make dinner all right it is dinner time i made grilled shrimp with a creamy butter garlic sauce i was going to do it over zoodles but i'm just feeling so low energy from not eating carbs so i just made the shrimp i was too lazy to make the doodles all right i just finished dinner it was awesome i'm still feeling pretty low energy i definitely have not finished adjusting to no carbs so i'm hoping tomorrow's gonna be better and then maybe by day three i will feel normal but yeah this is the end of day one i will see you guys for day two day two kicking it off with some coffee and some heavy cream i'm getting a little hungry but i don't have time to make breakfast just yet so i'm gonna have a strawberry yogurt also i forgot to show you guys yesterday but i had a few roasted cashews yesterday roasted salted they were really good as you can see i didn't eat too many i just finished cooking breakfast so i have a three piece of bacon and then the cup of veggies with the three eggs ended up being a lot of food and then i added some cheese on top i usually don't i don't even know if i'm gonna like the taste of this but i figured if i'm doing keto i should probably add some fats to it and then i made another cup of coffee so today i'm trying to make a point to eat more during my meals because what happened yesterday was like i only did eggs with the veggies and no cheese no bacon or anything like that and i was so hungry so quickly and then i kept finding myself like snacking so i was like i already cooked i don't have time to cook again and i feel like i took in way more calories than i should have so yesterday when i was feeling like super hangry because i was just nothing was satisfying me i decided buy some keto friendly things on amazon so i got this keto friendly pancake and waffle mix from keto inco and it was like next day shipping it had really good reviews i've heard of i think it's another one called like birch bridge or something like that and i've heard that's really good but this one had even better reviews and then i got some high key brownie bites i heard that their cookies are really good but their brownie bites had also had really good reviews so it comes with like three three bags and they're mini cookies oh so these are cookies actually so they are cookies but these are dark chocolate brownies so i'm gonna try one of these so here's what they look like sadie this this is not for you wow so i mean it definitely doesn't taste like a brownie it definitely tastes like some sort of like chocolate cookie or something like that but it's really good um it's really really like crumbly though like like i feel like if i were to pinch this it would just fall into a bunch of crumbs you know what i mean it's like super dry not necessarily like in a bad way like it's really good it just kind of tastes like compressed chocolate powder but if you're looking for something sweet it does say like right on here that it's keto friendly i would recommend it it's 7 15 and i'm still not hungry enough to make dinner so apparently olives are unlimited so i have a can of black olives here and i'm just gonna snack on this and enjoy some wine and hang out um until i'm hungry for a real dinner all right i'm finally starting to get hungry and the last thing i want is veggies so i decided i'm gonna try the pancakes early darren is making meat for the pups for dinner so my pancake is not making that sizzling sound i promise okay update on the pancakes they are basically impossible to flip unless they are close to burnt okay time to do an official taste test in general this is probably a 9 out of 10 pancake like keto or not keto it tastes incredibly similar the texture is a little different but not enough that it would ruin it at all so this is definitely a new standard for any time i ever tried keto again definitely recommend i will put an amazon link below for where i got it it was about 11 for the bag and it makes a pretty good amount of pancakes i think it said made like 30 or something like that kicking off the morning with some coffee and i put some heavy cream in it again so as it turns out a yogurt has 10 grams of carbs so that is half the carbs i'm allowed to eat a day so i'm not eating that instead i'm going to go for the string cheese as my morning snack it is noon and it's snack time so i'm having some roasted red pepper hummus from amazon kitchen and i'm having that with some carrots because apparently these two together is like an unlimited thing because of how low carb it is so i'm going to eat this probably eat enough to hold me off for lunch i put my coffee in here um it's still my first coffee from the day but i take forever to drink coffee so i'm trying to keep it hot um this is just regular water and then in this water bottle i put liquid iv i honestly thought i was being so good about the carbs and i didn't realize that liquid iv had carbs i didn't realize that a go-gurt had so many carbs so yeah gogurt is now out and today will be my last day of um having liquid iv i just i really thought i was being good about things and turns out secretly a lot of things that you wouldn't think of carbs do all right i just wanted to show you guys the liquid iv passion fruit i want to show you the carbs i was talking about so right here 12 total carbohydrates and in order to figure out net carbs you do total carbs minus dietary fiber but there is no dietary fiber here so it's just the 12 net carbs and i'm supposed to keep it under 20 net carbs a day so this little thing is although it might be good for you i would not recommend it for keto all right i'm going to do a really quick grocery haul so tonight i am making my chicken tacos it's actually my great grandma's recipe if you want the recipe check out the card above i will link my video for cinco de mayo where i made the tacos for my chicken tacos um it starts with rotisserie chicken that i shred then also has some celery carrots and green onion we had everything already in the fridge except for the carrots and it's sauteed with that so that's for the meat and then for the tortillas i got the street taco car balance there are only three net carbs in this so i'm pretty excited um i did get regular tortillas for my friend that's coming over because i don't think she's going to want to participate in this also for the tacos i already have tomatoes in the fridge but i got lettuce and then i put sour cream avocado i do olives and then we already have cheese in the fridge so that's what that is for um i might make her some spanish rice and then let her take that home so this is for spanish rice i bought extra because i like to have some on hand um this coconut milk is for darren he likes to make his own curries and then i also got him this curry simmering sauce for veggies um so that's not for my keto diet um usually when i make the tortilla shells and then when i'm sauteing the veggies i use canola oil but it says that for keto you're not supposed to use canola or vegetable oil but olive oil is unlimited so i'm going to try making it with olive oil i have no idea how it'll taste but i'm hoping for the best um i also decided that another meal i'm going to do the shrimp zoodles um before i was going to try to make my own zoodles because nugget didn't have pre-made noodles so um rayleigh's does so i picked up the rayleigh zoodles so i'm going to make that creamy shrimp making it with the zoodles as the full meal later this week then i found these keto friendly pasta alternatives so this one is made out of edamame and this one is made out of or organic soybean so i have no idea how these are going to taste i've never tasted anything like this but i'm hoping for the best so with these i'm going to be doing a chicken parmesan so obviously i'm probably not going to be doing the crusted part it's going to be like a light chicken parmesan but i'm really excited about that and then we were out of ziploc bags then all of this chicken and beef broth i need some for the tacos to keep the chicken moist but also we cook the kids meat every night and so that's what all this meat is for and with that we do veggies i have veggies in the fridge and then more veggies in the freezer for them and then we make brown rice for them so for the brown rice instead of cooking it with water and it doesn't have a lot of flavor we actually cook it with the broth to give it more flavor so that the dogs will actually eat it and then because i keep using heavy cream with my coffee it's just not the same i really do enjoy using the unsweetened vanilla almond milk so i'm going to be switching over to this then for some weekend breakfast i did get some sausages and i might give a few to the pups on weekends they get to have a little cheat meal and then i got some turkey sausage as well um also for the pups i got some ham steaks i got two of those and then i got these mashed potatoes sometimes when we run out of the um the brown rice we will use some of these potatoes just so that they have more of a balanced meal it's not the best for them but if we don't have anything else it's a good like backup um i got more eggs because i'm eating a lot more eggs on this diet and we are blowing through butter so i got two more butters as well then i also got this greek yogurt this is actually my favorite greek yogurt and i put honey on it and then i put berries on it usually i also use granola but because i'm trying to do low carb i'm just going to be doing berries i got extra berries so i'm just going to go heavy on that and then as a snack i got some sugar-free jello so this jello is zero carbs so it is allowed i mean i'm not going to sit here and tell you this is healthy but sometimes i just need a little something and i'm not trying to ruin the diet so that's what i'm planning to do with that also i have um also in the fridge i have spinach and mushroom i really like sauteing um garlic spinach mushroom and sun-dried tomatoes i really really like doing that brings me a lot of happiness so um i got one large jar unfortunately they only had one large jar left so i just got a smaller backup jar because we we blow through sundried tomatoes and they are not very good for keto diet so i really have to limit how much i can eat but i can add a little bit in for flavor so i'm really excited about that so that is it for this shopping trip i haven't finished the food i have in the fridge yet i'm planning to kind of use some of those veggies because that's pretty much all i bought was veggies i plan to use those veggies and throw it in with some of the things that i'm making so i will still be using all of that food but i just wanted some other options so i can have more of a well-rounded meal since everything was like all veggies so yeah i feel like this is a lot more sustainable and now that i'm seeing that there are keto friendly cookies like the high key ones i go off amazon and pancake mix like the one i got off amazon and now there's pasta and tortillas i'm starting to realize that i can have a lot of my favorite meals and just swap out a few items for a healthier version of it so now i feel like this diet is a lot more sustainable all right so i just finished making tacos we've got everything ready to go i have the keto friendly taco shells the smaller ones and then some regular ones for my friend because she does not have to eat keto she doesn't have to suffer with me um and yeah here are all of our taco toppings do you want to say hello to the vlog so i forgot that i was recording this um so it is almost 11 a.m and i was starving i did not want eggs so i made some of my keto tacos from and i ate them so here are the rest um these tiny ones are the keto friendly tacos and then these shells are the regular ones that i made for my friend hey guys just wanted to update you so it is five o'clock and i haven't eaten anything else other than the tacos this morning last night i drank red wine which i don't do very often and i was very hungover very hungover today um i do feel better but because of that um i wasn't really wanting to eat because when you're hungover you want to eat but you want like pizza you want like pasta and that just really wasn't an option today so um i didn't even have coffee all i've had today were those two tacos and water so yeah i didn't forget to show you guys i literally just haven't eaten anything it's about seven o'clock and i'm getting a little hungry so i'm gonna snack on some blueberries while i figure out what to eat for dinner i've decided to do a deconstructed taco these keto friendly taco shells are like half the size of regular taco shells and they fit nothing so i'm very hungry afterwards so i decided i'm going to break apart the shells and use them like chips and i've used about double the chicken than what would fit in there and then i just put some cheese and olives on top i put way too much sour cream so luckily i put it on the side and then half an avocado good morning happy friday i am starting off my morning with a cup of coffee i've added about two tablespoons of unsweetened vanilla almond milk there are only there's only one carb per cup but you only need like two tablespoons to make a difference in your coffee so you aren't even getting close to a carb so if you're doing keto i would definitely recommend this as like a creamer alternative i wanted a little something so i had four of these um a serving size is six and it is two net carbs for six of them so i had a little less than two carbs for this so i'm doing pretty well this morning grilled chicken with brussels sprouts and grilled um carrots i'm gonna try to avoid potatoes because i know it's not completely keto all right it's about 6 p.m i'm starting to get hungry for dinner so i'm having some greek yogurt i put some honey and then strawberries and blueberries on top usually i also have granola but keto it is six o'clock and i went from not hungry to very hungry in a grand total of about five minutes so i didn't have time to cook so i had a few cashews i didn't have very many as you can see but i was just trying to hold myself off because i'm gonna cook dinner now so i just finished making dinner i grilled half a chicken breast and then i have some mozzarella on it and then i made some edamame fettuccine the edamame fettuccine was one of those like lower carb options and then i put some tomato sauce on top and some parmesan cheese i did realize after i put it on that the sauce does have carbs so i might be slightly passing my carb intake if i eat it all um so i'm going to try to not do that i don't love these noodles i really don't they don't bring me happiness and i probably will not make the rest i would not recommend i'm watching some gilmore girls and since i can't eat popcorn or chips i am going to snack on a bowl of olives kicking off this lovely saturday morning with some more coffee with some vanilla unsweetened almond milk it is 8 30. i am not hungry right now but i'm trying to get my metabolism started for the day so i'm just going to eat these three okay so i got a southwestern it has scrambled eggs with sauce on top avocado and salad and then it did come with the english muffin but i'm probably not gonna eat it it's about 7 30 and i'm starting to get a little more hungry so i had a couple of these for tonight's evening snack because i always like to be working on something i made some spicy edamame i just cooked some edamame pods put some butter and then i mixed in my favorite spicy edamame seasoning this one seriously just a little butter in this and it takes care of everything it is bomb kicking off my sunday morning with some more coffee and almond milk i got these silicone straws yesterday at t.j.maxx or homegoods one of those um and yeah i think i'm gonna start using these now instead of my paper straws they are extremely tall but um they're less wasteful i forgot to show you guys but i ate a six ounce container of blueberries for a snack it's about 3 45 and as a late lunch early dinner we made chicken breasts and zoodles with a cheesy creamy white sauce with some parmesan on top and then we have a sweet kale salad on the side it's about eight o'clock and i'm ready to break into my second bag of high key it's 8 30 and i'm not hungry but i just really want to eat something so i'm gonna eat the string cheese it is the end of week one yes i have made it honestly i don't think that i properly did keto i'm so just gonna start with that starting a keto diet was definitely very difficult mostly because i did not do a lot of research my friend had kind of told me about it and i decided to join like a day or two before she was starting the diet and i had never done it before she had i didn't have any books on it i didn't really do any research so just my understanding was she sent me this chart of what you can eat unlimited of and what to kind of avoid or eat in small portions and then kind of a few i like common items that were keto illegal if you will so i was basically just going off of that i was kind of struggling to put together meals so the beginning was a bit miserable and then as you guys saw the first couple days i had blown the diet by accident like i didn't realize that go-gurts were not keto i did not realize that liquid iv was not i didn't realize that coffee creamer and had i done a little more research i probably could have figured that out beforehand but i did not so it was definitely like a major learning experience for me it definitely kind of turned into more of a low carb diet i ended up being so focused on trying to avoid carbs that i kind of forgot about the fat aspect which is a pretty important part of keto so i am not entirely sure that all of my meals were technically keto friendly but they were a heck of a lot more healthy than how i was eating before so all in all my results i have lost four and a half pounds which is huge for me besides just the losing weight i feel better my skin has cleared up like my skin is more clear than it has been in i don't know months maybe a year and so i'm really happy with that and then i was always bloated and i haven't had any of that so i am really enjoying kind of how keto has like changed my body and i'm really liking that so that just goes to show just how effective this diet is even when you're not being super strict my goal was to keep under 20 grams of carbs and i like i said i blew that several days but regardless you have still lost that much i am very impressed so i will be continuing on to a week two and then possibly a week three we will see i'm feeling pretty good about it right now especially after i'm having my way in today so we will see how long it lasts but i will complete at least two weeks so just you guys know if you guys are enjoying this video um i would hit that notification bell because there will be a follow-up part two and
