**iOS 6: A Comprehensive Preview**
In recent months, Apple has released iOS 6, the latest iteration of its mobile operating system. With a plethora of new features and updates, this version promises to enhance the overall user experience on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and other compatible devices.
One of the most noticeable changes in iOS 6 is the revamped look and feel of various apps. For instance, when entering the Music app, users will notice a more professional and visually pleasing design. Similarly, the Weather app now sports a darker theme, while the Camera app has been redesigned to be more user-friendly. The Phone app itself has also undergone significant changes, with a new lighter and more elegant interface. Furthermore, the App Store has been revamped, featuring a new Genius Bar that suggests apps users might like based on their interests.
Another notable feature in iOS 6 is the addition of Passbook, an innovative app that allows users to manage boarding passes, tickets, cards, coupons, and other digital items in one place. This feature offers a convenient way to organize and access important documents on-the-go. When sharing pictures, users will notice a new option menu that makes it easier to share content. For instance, when entering the Photos app, users can now quickly share their favorite images with others.
The Settings app has also seen significant changes in iOS 6. One of the most exciting features is the introduction of Do Not Disturb mode, which puts your iPhone into sleep mode, allowing you to ignore calls and texts from people outside of designated hours. Additionally, Bluetooth has been moved under Wi-Fi, making it easier to access this feature. Furthermore, a new privacy tab allows users to set specific permissions for apps on their device.
In terms of hardware, iOS 6 includes several updates for baseband capabilities. For example, iPhone 3GS users will see an upgrade from the current baseband version to five point sixteen point zero six, while iPhone 4S owners will receive a boost to four point twelve point zero two. This change means that any previous unlocks from iOS 5 may no longer be effective.
Other notable features in iOS 6 include the ability to add a song as an alarm in the Clock app and shift the volume slider on the Music app using the gyroscope, which makes for a more interactive experience. For those who enjoy browsing the web, Safari now supports full-screen mode when used in landscape orientation, making it easier to view content without distractions.
Lastly, iOS 6 has introduced FaceTime support over 3G and 4G networks on the iPhone 4S, as well as integration with Facebook and Twitter for a more social experience. However, users should note that iOS 6 is not compatible with the original iPad or iPod Touch 3rd generation.
**Additional Notes**
For those interested in learning how to install iOS 6 on their device, there are various resources available online, including videos and tutorials from reputable developers. It's also worth noting that while iOS 6 has been jailbroken, this process is currently tethered and requires a developer account to access the Cydia app store.
In conclusion, iOS 6 offers a wide range of new features and updates that enhance the user experience on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and other compatible devices. From improved app designs to innovative new features like Passbook, iOS 6 is sure to bring excitement to users looking to upgrade their mobile experience.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys everything Apple Pro here and in this video I'm actually going to be showing you guys iOS 6 some of the new features that have been available in iOS 6 some of the things that have been changed and first impressions are great I love it and it's been available to developers for a little while already I've been playing around with it it's actually to me a fine-tuned version of iOS 5 there's more things that have been adjusted than actually changed or added and of course I'll be going over those in just a bit so I want to show you guys some of the major things and a lot of the smaller things that have been added in iOS 6 now to start off I want to say not all devices will support all the features of iOS 6 and of course this is all a marketing strategy I mean Apple does want you to buy the latest and greatest AI devices so not all features will be available for the older 3GS or iPhone 4 and when I first looked at I was 6 the basic feature that stuck out to me was the redesigned Maps app see I've been using Android for a little bit and what I do like about Android is the built-in navigation now we do have that on iOS 6 but only on the iPhone 4s yes you will be able to install turn-by-turn navigation on the older 3GS and iPhone 4 through a Cydia tweak and that goes for other features that Apple left out of iOS 6 for the older devices so don't worry about that guys I will of course make videos when those tutorials are available now the first thing you notice when you open up OS 6 maps is that it does look different looks funny almost different from Google Maps because Apple now uses Apple based maps and I actually like the look it's more friendly on the eye is actually more pleasing and the overall look of maps itself is different more fine-tuned as you can see right here the options are arranged differently and that's just Maps for you now in several apps in iOS 6 the look has changed so if you go into something like music you will notice it does look different a lot more professional and course pleasing to the eyes and music app is just one of them if you go into something like whether the theme overall has changed to a darker theme in weather if you go to camera it is darker as well also the phone app itself has been redesigned and I do like this version a lot more it's a lot lighter and also the App Store has been redesigned so if I click on that you will notice it is more elegant and if I click on see all I can scroll through all my apps like I usually would and a Genius Bar has been down below to determine which apps you might like and that's the App Store and if I scroll over you will notice there is a new app and that's passbook in here you'll manage your boarding passes tickets cards coupons and it's just a useful little app that Apple decided to add the option to share in iOS 6 has been adjusted so if you go in on a picture and you want to share it you will notice that there is a new option menu and it does look better also something pretty cool and let's say go to notes and if you click on here and you turn on emoji icons you will notice there are a bunch more Apple decided to add many new ones and there are some pretty cool ones in there so that's just a little tiny feature in iOS 6 if we head over to settings you will notice there is I do not disturb mode which basically puts your iPhone into sleep mode so you don't get any texts or calls unless it's from people you set you want to receive calls or texts from say when you're sleeping which is a really great feature also in settings you will notice that bluetooth is now under Wi-Fi and there is a privacy tab and in here you can set privacy on different apps on your iPhone and front lockers I did want to mention that your base band will get updated in iOS 6 so if you have an iPhone 3GS your base band will get updated to five point sixteen point zero six and if you have an iPhone for your basement will get updated to four point twelve point zero two meaning any previous unlocks from iOS five will no longer work definitely watch out for that you don't want to update to iOS 6 if you do rely on an iOS 5 unlock on a smaller scale there is an option now in the clock app in order to add a song of choice as your alarm as you can see pick a song I really don't know why Apple wouldn't have added that before but it is a nice feature in iOS 6 also in the music app if you take a close look at the volume slider the knob if you actually shift your iPhone left and right and I'm actually going to take my iPhone for you to see this but if you shift it left and right the knob shimmers and that's with your gyroscope working right there and it's really cool it's this small attention to detail in iOS 6 which actually makes me like it a lot and in Safari if you have your iPhone in landscape mode you can now toggle full-screen mode which basically enables you to browse more comfortably with the bars on the top and the bottom and you have a lot more room to see things so it's a great feature Apple should have added a while ago but I'm happy at least added it now and Apple did add Facebook integration into iOS 6 as because you are their Twitter alongside Facebook and some of the things I can show you is the FaceTime support over 3G and 4G on the 4s and there is now Siri on the new iPad which is great but of course you don't get it in the iPad 2 or on the original iPad and the original iPad is actually not going to be supported on iOS 6 and that goes for the iPod Touch 3rd generation so they drop those too but for all other devices iOS 6 will be supported and that's my little preview of Iowa 6 for you hopefully you got a taste of the changes and little things found in iOS 6 and if you do want to install it try it out there will be an annotation right there for anybody who wants to do that for my video on how to install iOS 6 for free as of now there is a jailbreak for iOS 6 however it is tethered and there is no Cydia hits developer only so I would not recommend installing it also for all on lockers stay away from iOS 6 you will lose your unlock if you update and thanks for watching this video guys I do appreciate it please like and favorite this video leave a comment and of course subscribe for new videos I hope you enjoyed this iOS 6 preview peacehey guys
