The Zyrus LP1200 is a MENTAL Twin Turbo Lamborghini!

**The Cyrus LP 1200 Zero Zero One Prototype: A Lamborghini Like No Other**

As I sat down to drive the Cyrus LP 1200 Zero Zero One prototype, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and trepidation. With its powerful twin turbos and insane amount of aero, this car was going to be a handful to handle. But as I put on my racing gloves and slipped into the cockpit, I knew that I was in for an experience unlike any other.

**A Road Legal Version?**

One of the first things that caught my attention was the news that the Cyrus LP 1200 Zero Zero One would be getting a road legal version. This means that car enthusiasts from all over the world will soon have the opportunity to own and drive this incredible machine on public roads, albeit with slightly reduced downforce. But don't let that fool you - this is still an incredibly powerful car, with over 1,200 horsepower on tap.

**The Design and Technology**

As I looked around the cockpit, I was struck by the sheer amount of technology and innovation that had gone into designing this car. The carbon fiber bodywork is a marvel in itself, with every component carefully crafted to minimize weight and maximize performance. And then there's the engine - a twin-turbo behemoth that produces an astonishing 1,200 horsepower. But what really caught my eye was the use of incannel manifolds, which are typically used in rocket engines.

**The Racing Latches**

One of the first things I noticed when I opened up the front clamshell of the car was the cleverly designed racing latches that held everything together. These latches allowed me to remove large components such as the radiator and cooling system, giving me a glimpse into the intricate engineering that had gone into designing this car.

**The Smart Dashboard**

As I sat down at the wheel, I noticed a smart dashboard screen in front of me, linked to an app on my phone. This allowed the mechanics or crew back in the pit box to see exactly what was going on inside the car, including live temperatures and running data. It was an incredible example of how technology can be used to enhance performance and safety.

**The Fire Extinguisher System**

But it wasn't just the tech that was impressive - even the humble fire extinguisher system had been cleverly integrated into the design of the car. I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of having to deal with a racing emergency on this incredible machine.

**A Car for the Track**

Now, I have to admit that I'm not exactly an experienced race car driver - my previous experience has mostly been limited to driving GT3 and GT4 cars. But from the moment I put pedal to metal, I knew that this was going to be a challenge unlike any other. The sheer amount of power and aero response was overwhelming, but in the best possible way.

**The Experience**

For me, driving the Cyrus LP 1200 Zero Zero One prototype was an experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life. It's fast - incredibly so. But it's also dramatic, with a sound that's simply breathtaking. And yet, despite its incredible performance, this car is also strangely usable on public roads. I mean, I know I'm not exactly the most experienced driver in the world, but even I felt like I could get used to this thing over time.

**Conclusion**

And so there you have it - my experience driving the Cyrus LP 1200 Zero Zero One prototype. It's a car that defies description, with its incredible power and aero response making it an absolute handful to handle. But for those who are willing to take on the challenge, I think this could be one of the most rewarding experiences you'll ever have in a racing car.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys i'm smee hello and welcome back to the channel where you join me today at the dubai autodrome behind me we have some of their driving experience cars but i am here today for a very very special experience indeed here out on the track to drive this the zyrus lp 1200 it is based on the lamborghini hurricane super troffeo race car but this as the name suggests has a twin turbo kit making 1200 horsepower this is probably the craziest and most insane lamborghini that i will ever drive and i've got the dubai autodrome to go and have some fun i think it is going to be pretty wild let's have a look at the car and what they have created before taking it out to go and have a drive just have a look then at this car if we can actually still call it a car like i said based on the lamborghini hurricane super troffeo race car but completely reworked over 500 new components from zyrus in norway and in fact the story behind how this came to be is pretty cool so out there in norway they compete in the go to bill race series which is effectively no rules with the exception of safety which means a lot of power very very lightweight and this is the epitome of that we are talking about one to one in terms of horsepower to kilos 1200 horsepower 1200 kilos the entire body has been redesigned all done to be functional nothing is made just to look pretty or anything like that despite it having a completely fully exposed carbon fiber appearance but for example the new shapes you see around the front all aerodynamics all led by the results that they've seen in the wind tunnels and in testing and in computer design you can see still the distinct shapes of the hurricane for example the positioning of the headlights but this is a brutal race car if i come round towards the very back have a look at the design back here and in fact have a look straight through where you can see inside the bright green of the turbos mounted quite far forwards actually in the chassis as opposed to be right out of the back but this is rear wheel drive the super trofeo race car is the lp 620-2 all of the power going towards the back this has had a reworked gearbox to handle the additional power of it all coming from that 5.2 liter in this case twin turbo v10 as opposed to the normally naturally aspirated engine but this thing is madness defined i think it shares very few components with the original car that is basically the roof the front window the side windows and if we open it up to have a look inside the dashboard but you will see immediately this is race car an entirely new interior for the car new pieces that they've made everything is made in-house by zyrus um we'll be able to see more under the skin but we've got the racing buckets we've got the roll cage we've got that race steering wheel we've got fire extinguishers we've got kill switches this is going to be the most i think insane driving experience being delicate with it the doorways next to nothing also but the entire thing sculpted with this massive massive picnic table at the rear the race wing lots and lots of downforce thanks to these flaps the second layer of it um let's try and get it fired up and uh have a little listen and get warmed up to take this out on track here at dubai autodrome to demonstrate the process behind this then we are joined by radney from cyrus engineering thank you very much so what do we got to do power on at the bottom power yep then it's the ecu ignition and then is that installed okay wait wait we got to go take a listen from the very back of the car hear the sound of this it's going to be pretty loud right let's hear it you can hear those turbos whistling away the noise of that and actually i noticed the lights now integrated inside the bodywork this is the prototype this is the one at the moment they've just started building v2 and uh yeah i guess i better go find a helmet and some gear up on board and take it out okay here we are right time to get all these belts done harnessed in in full and then the fun the chaos the madness is going to begin okay we obviously have everything pretty fixed not the straps here i want these done super super super tight probably not going to be able to hear me when i'm driving so if not i will just play some nice fly-bys and it will probably sound epic so as tight as possible all right okay then this means it's time so we've got a sequential gearbox we need to turn on the power give it a moment everything will basically wake up and run through the system we've got the zarus lp 1200 display then we turn on the ecu then we turn on the ignition hear that running and then we start it up oh yes so this sounds super super epic okay i might stall it trying to pull away bear with me if i do i've had the thumbs up which means time's going out sequential gearbox is very loud i'm certain under throttle of the phone it's going to be definitely in here but probably sound absolutely epic track is all mine this is precious i mean it's a race car it is a literally race car you can get a sense of what this is about is thank you wow aware of what's going on a little bit familiar with the car oh okay this is pretty crazy a short breather then before i jump back on into the car to go out in a little bit more anger but it's raised up here you can see sitting up with the hydraulic jacks that are all plugged in at the very rear but also the clam has been removed from the back so we can take a slightly better look at what is actually going on back here now to run out in the middle east given the temperatures and it is boiling today easily up into the 30s there's an additional cooler and fans that you can see for getting the air down towards the turbos which are right down inside you can't quite see them from here but positioned inside the back you've got air-to-air filtering as well they've had to make all of these components for example the new brackets all fitted all made and you can see as well we are running on the kind of semi-slicks at the moment another thing about the car their own custom wheels but also carbon carbon brakes two different types of carbon carbon discs carbon pads all working together which means you really have to get those up to temperature they're basically the same kind of breaks that you'd find in a formula one car so that clam just lifted off it'll go back into place in a second to take it back in just wanted to have a look at some of the components going on uh inside but look at the carbon fiber out in the sunshine stunning spectacular and this well it is quite a handful and um i'm not gonna lie it's a touch beyond what i think i know how to drive properly but i will try and have a little bit of fun with it as we take the car again in a moment and uh yeah go do it again okay it's go time let's do this gently then off the clutch rolling on out i've got a green light it's all mine foreign here foreign so what am i doing this is absolutely ridiculous the car is being pushed back into the pit box then and i tell you what that is a serious machine a lot of car to drive and in all honesty in terms of race experience i think you need a little bit more than i have to kind of get the most out of that because well the combination of the power the aero the grip the race technologies the race materials and everything that's involved in it oh there are a few things that i haven't yet told you then about this car the first of these which might take you by surprise they are going to be building a road legal version there will be 24 track cars and 12 additional road cars slightly less aero downforce of course for the road cars but still very much the same insane machine with a full carbon wide body with that much power thanks to the twin turbos on the engine it is of course longer than a standard hurricane i think you can see that immediately the additional overhang at the rear particularly with that wing and of course also around the front as well a few things i didn't really touch on this particular setup at the moment doesn't have their carbon carbon brakes it's running on the normal super trofeo steel brakes but also with road tyres p0 trafeo are tires like on the center for example those are road legal those tires that i'm driving on the race track and this car can actually be driven on the road out here as well they've got permission and consent to actually do so but it shares some really really cool technologies for example the incannel manifolds are used or made out of the same material as rocket engines yes it is that ridiculous basically a bit of a spaceship the entire thing as you look at it is designed and made in-house of course you've got the racing latches to take off the whole front clam for example you can see how much there is by way of radiator and cooling right around the front you've got that almost step for the front splitter around the sides in here you've got cameras uh for the door mirrors so your camera view which you actually see if i just open up the door on these displays up here so when you're driving those have your uh your side view mirrors out of the back of them inside here you've got the smart dashboard which actually links to an app on the phone so you can see from the phone the live temperatures and running data of the car so the mechanics or the crew back in the pit box can see exactly what's going on inside here look at how low that carbon floor is to the actual tarmac it feels like it's only a matter of centimeters above you've got the full roll cage you've got these seats which have the lamborghini styling inside them you've got this entire new central console they've made familiar kind of start stop button in the middle all those controls that we had a brief demo of as well they've got a camera system fitted inside the car along with more carbon fiber up top this is proper proper proper proper race car but um yeah i mean even the fire extinguisher system as well come door cards cyrus lp 1200 zero zero one prototype number one let's doors tuck it in like proper race car give it a close shut the door and then you've got all of that exposed carbon body work now remember prototype this isn't intended to look perfect and beautiful at this stage it is functional race car means parts that sadly at some point might get battered and bruised that's the nature of the game that's what happens but in this case it's going to be taken to their racing series that they take part in and well could you imagine 1200 horsepower an absolute handful to drive a really really challenging experience actually something for me but i mean i know i haven't got the most experience in the world of proper full-on race cars i've driven a gt3 car gt car gt4 cars so i've had a bit of time out in them but this with this much power and this much aero response is a step ahead for me honestly this is a challenge i feel i would need a lot more time to warm up and understand how to use it all but uh i tell you what from an experience point of view wow wow very very quick very loud very dramatic very experiential i think we could say on every front and it looks insane it looks absolutely bonkers completely completely crazy in just about every way that is the craziest lamborghini ever i think we could say for now though thank you very much for watching thank you very much to the team at cyrus for the opportunity to drive the car and thank you also to the team here at the dubai auto drone for the opportunity to come and be part of the driving experiences and head out on track as well you'll find more information about everything you've seen in the description box down below but for now that is all thank you very much for watching guys and i'll see you again very soon cheers you\n"
