This year has seen a significant growth in our DIY video production, with a vast majority of views coming from our "How to" tutorials. We've had an impressive top viewed video vault for this year, showcasing a diverse range of projects that cater to various skill levels and interests. Our most viewed video of the year was "How to Install a Microwave," followed closely by "How to Hang a Microwave Over Your Stove." that we typically show here pass us along to them and hopefully they'll subscribe as well and we'll get that number even higher for next year at three hundred twenty two thousand not that's actually a jump of 86 thousand subscribers in 2017 so that's a that's a significant number for little old house improvements we're we're getting bigger every year so that's great something else we've seen is a fair amount of growth on the forum and just general busyness over the whole you know website and forum and YouTube and everything in 2017 for those of you that have never used our forum or never even checked it out maybe we'll include a link to that as well in the description and if you want to just go down there and go over and check it oh that's that's the best place you know if you're watching one of my videos and you have a question about one of your projects or you know just something that I did in the video it's way better off to go to the forum and ask that question there because I will directly get back to you or one of we've got a few guys there now hanging out in the forum that are really helpful in all aspects too so if I don't directly get back to you with an answer one of them those guys will and it's just the best place for for questions like that because we can give you a direct answer we can converse back and forth a little bit better than just placing your question in next point this is where I'm going to do a little bit of a year in review as far as videos so we uploaded 28 videos this year that's down a little bit from last year but what we're trying to do is stay on a on just a nice pace you know we're not over burdening you with a whole bunch of stuff but you can come to expect that our videos are coming out on a regular pace we've been switching the days that we release around a little bit throughout the year trying to find just the right fit right now I think we're on Saturdays and hopefully we can find that right day that works where we can get the most people's attention so but Saturday's right now is when you'll see our our releases every two to three weeks so videos we received 20 million views this year so that's that's a hundred and thirty seven million minutes of our videos watched one hundred and thirty-four thousand likes 7,500 comments so 20 million views that's that's a good number of views for what did I say 28 videos so now that I guess our 28 videos was just start what we release this year we've got over what do we have 200 and that's a good question I think we have about two hundred and thirty videos two hundred and forty s videos so all those twenty million views would be spread out over top all over all those videos and all those numbers are pretty good increases from 2016 so top video this year now this is the one that got the most views was watched watched the most it was actually a video we shot probably I'm gonna guess that it was two years ago and that was how to cut a circle out of a floor tile not a video I ever expected that would get the amount of views that it's getting but I'm not gonna not gonna bash it at all it got 5.5 million views all on its own just this year that one video why I don't know I guess there's a lot more people that need to cut a hole in a tile than I ever thought but anyways that's our top viewed video vault of all time for this year the most viewed video that we produced this year there was a they're fairly close the top two or three so I'm gonna list them so how to install a microwave lets the hanging microwave over your stove rearrange that one was had our top views for videos that was produced this year how to wire a single pole light switch that one had lots of views as well how to wire switched receptacle again just posted this year but had some of the top amount of views and then we had the video showing how to install the fold stone panels on the wall was kind of a feature wall it was a nice little video and I think it turned out really well in the end you know the overall look of the stone and it's a less expensive option as opposed to using real stone and it still looks pretty good so so if you haven't seen it check that out so last use tool type videos and it's maybe where we should have started way back in the beginning show you guys how to use the tools before you show the projects that you can use them in but anyways we we once it actually comes online for 2018 I think I already mentioned you probably gonna see a few more tool videos again we're gonna try to do a few more of those but we want to get back on track with some projects as well so we've got some electrical videos coming out they seem to be what a lot of people are really wanting to watch so we went a little more in-depth with a with a few of those
