Mobile World Congress 2015: LG Magna Review
We're live here at Mobile World Congress 2015 with LG, taking a look at their mid-range devices. The device we have on display is the LG Magna, one of their top-tiered mid-range offerings. Let's start by examining the design of this phone.
As you can see, the LG Magna features some very similar design aesthetics to other LG devices, such as the G flex 2. One of the noticeable features is the slight curvature to the body. However, it's worth noting that this curvature is more for aesthetic purposes and doesn't actually allow the screen to flex like the G flex 2 does. The screen itself is regular Gorilla Glass and not P OLED, but still has a brushed metal looking back on the 4G version, which sets it apart from the 3G model.
The rear facing buttons are also present on both versions, giving it a familiar look to other LG devices. Speaking of specs, let's take a quick look at what we have here. The LG Magna features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 294 ppi. On the back, there is an 8 megapixel camera, while the front features a 5 megapixel camera. The device is powered by a quad-core processor running at 1.2 gigahertz.
In terms of storage, we have 8 gigabytes of internal space and 1 gigabyte of RAM. The device runs on the latest version of Android, Android Lollipop 5.0.2. We can also see this information under the software section. As you can expect from LG, the device has a lot of the same design aesthetics and build quality that we would expect from their other devices.
One of the standout features of the LG Magna is its price point. With LTE, it's definitely an affordable option for those looking for a mid-range device with the latest version of Android. We've been playing with the device for just a few minutes now, and so far, it seems to be pretty snappy. Overall, we think this could be a solid device for LG.
We're still here at Mobile World Congress 2015, and it's just getting started. Stay tuned for the rest of our coverage because we are your source for all things Android and Mobile World Congress 2015.
