wedding trip that we did up to Connecticut which by the way was amazing probably one of the coolest weddings we've been to but today we're gonna do a little bit different content and we're gonna switch it up you'll see we're removing the exhaust off the 350z missile car because we're going open headers now I'm just kidding I wouldn't do that to the world that would be like the most painful sound and it would just like people would hate me whenever I Drive at the track and stuff that's nuts what's happened and basically you removing this Y pipe because we're gonna swap it out with a different one and the main reason why we're playing with the exhaust is cuz when Nicole went off-track she turned my Tomei into a crinkled up straw so I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that that's probably not the best if I'm trying to you know make some power out of this car and when I get the r32 and s13 tuned martin's also going to tune the 350z so i figured it'd be a good idea to get you know the exhaust system work and how it's supposed to be I wasn't actually gonna keep the till maybe because of how expensive it is and I'm like aha what if I ruin it again but it turns out they actually sell replacement parts so I was able to get the replacement section that got destroyed and I think it was somewhere around 200 bucks which isn't too bad about the price of what another axle-back would have cost mean it is it is rad and Ty and then I get to keep this one so we're gonna swap that guy out and I'll do the best that I can to fix up this tip in addition to fixing the Tomei I'm also going to give something else a shot that I ordered a while ago due to a recommendation by you guys you know that I was complaining about how this thing like made a bunch of like weird drone ear ass stuff at low rpm just cruising around town and it sounded a lot like a broken trombone or an old man farting at low rpm so you guys told me to try the same company that makes the test pipes that I have on the Z also makes I think it's called the X Y Z pipe the difference is this one's non resonated this one is resonated so that in conjunction with this resonator and the muffler should be enough to get this VQ not sounding too much like wookie it's crazy how n/a cars that don't have the turtle-like muffle the sound are so obnoxious and you this much muffling oh and the resonators that are on the test pipes too how crazy is that we got 1 2 3 4 5 things quieted down I'd love to give you guys some poles and some rolling exhaust clips however I want to leave the car on the left because after this video I'm gonna go ahead and change the oil and do like a bolt check because I haven't touched that wives fab in like I don't know four or five events but we'll start it up and we'll get some garage revs with the nice echo on the left look at it look I got an exhaust tip no more single tip exit and that a little flat fix that I got on that titanium we lost it doesn't look too bad if I don't say so myself doesn't look perfect but you know we retain the Tomei without having to spend a fortune good good good I always think I'll allow that cards the camera definitely doesn't do it justice it's still very loud and that's why I didn't want to go too crazy revving it because I care about my neighbors and I try to do like you know maybe like three or four revs a week and keep it at that because I don't want to make anyone angry sounds great I love to see how gets rid of that annoying rasp that the car had before but overall I'm hyped for this thing not to sound like a leaky exhaust truck like it has been with me driving around town I thought it might be kind of cool to share with you my mindset real quick on the r32 because I know I've mentioned like the word missile car or destroy it multiple times and I feel like it's easy for that to be confused with maybe a different purpose than I intended it for basically when I went to super-dee and I saw Nakamura and his guys and then the animal style dudes just like shredding and really cool cars but not caring about like literally destroying the cars that to me it was really really cool where I care about my 13 so I guess rather than calling it a missile car I guess you could say that my purpose or my mindset like my end goal with this car is kind of how Naoki has like very little into the chassis in terms of like fabrication stuff he just kind of has like Bolton drop in parts and that's kind of my idea with this r32 I know that it is obviously not just like a Bolton like bolt on turbo stock RB but the idea is to keep it very very simple so I can drive the crap out of that car and once that shell gets to the point of no return I can easily just like take that motor and that drivetrain and whatever angle I have and just put it on another shell so like in that car I don't think I'm gonna be doing a roll cage I might do like a Bolton roll bar or like a Bolton roll cage but I just want it to be very minimal it'll be very cool like style wise but I want the car to be something that I'm not afraid to drive at 10/10 like I do with the 350z except I want it to be rad and cool so I can go to events like Super D and have like a cool japanese-style car because for me drifting is just as much as having fun in a car like this that basically like going out on track to me with like wrench and a hammer because it's a tool it doesn't have a lot of personality when you drive it I'm sure if you guys have heard people compared driving 315 Z's to like driving into 40 we're through through to see yeah it works and it feels great but it's a 350z and it just kind of does what you want it and there's there's not as much excitement as driving a higher power lighter car so what I'm shooting for is somewhere kinda in the middle like this thing will be obviously reliable and I'll keep driving it the s13 is kind of in my head almost like my hero car in terms of it just like you guys have been with it through the channel it's been with us since the beginning of me Nicole's relationship our marriage like it's my first drift car I have a ton of memories so it's gonna stay around I'll probably still drive it but I don't want to go like demolish it cuz that's not fun for me so anyway if that sheds a little bit of light on kind of more of the purpose of the r32 obviously when their sponsors involved and one of making videos on it it doesn't look good for me or the sponsors that are providing me product to half-ass the build so that's another reason kind of why go into more detail I also like to have pride in my things and to show you guys that I'm not just being lazy and that I want to put together something cool and something that maybe you guys can learn from if you're taking your time more on a build and just challenging myself rather than doing things just kind of like to do them so that's kind of to explain that I want to apologize again that today was a little bit of a shorter video to be completely honest I'm uploading today and then going to try to film another video so I have an upload for tomorrow because the way that YouTube's algorithms work if you don't watch a lot of other content creators that complain about this 24/7 I try not to complain because I'm blessed to be able to do what I do with YouTube but the way that the algorithms work if you don't upload every single day around the same time they like to punish you and then your videos don't show up in people's subscription feeds so I guess this would be an appropriate time for me to ask you guys if you haven't already clicked that little notification bell I don't even think that's a guarantee that you'll get notified when I upload but it's a better shot also when I ask you guys to like the video all the time that isn't just because it boosts my self-esteem and makes me smile it also satisfies the algorithms so if it sees it being YouTube that a lot
