YOU Should Buy the Apple Watch Series 7, And Here's Why!

The Apple Watch Series 7: A Game-Changer in Health and Wellness

I recently had the opportunity to watch Joel's channel, where he showcased his latest creation - a revolutionary smartwatch that has been making waves in the tech world. As someone who is familiar with 3D printing, I can attest that this device is truly impressive. The watch measures blood oxygen levels, checks heart rate, and performs an ECG, providing users with real-time health information that can be used by professionals to address issues that may not be apparent from a single snapshot of vitals during a checkup.

This technology has the potential to revolutionize the way we approach health and wellness. With access to real-time data, individuals can take control of their health and make informed decisions about their lifestyle. The watch's ability to provide this information also opens up new avenues for professionals to potentially address issues that may not be apparent from a single checkup. While it's essential to note that this device should not replace traditional medical care, it's an incredibly useful tool that can complement current healthcare systems.

The Apple Watch Series 7 is also notable for its design and functionality improvements. One of the key features is its faster charging time, which improves upon previous models by 33%. This is a significant upgrade, as one of the biggest hurdles in adopting smartwatches is the need to recharge them frequently. The watch's previous battery life was impressive, lasting over a decade without needing to be recharged due to its solar-powered design. However, this has been improved with the Series 7, allowing users to quickly get back into their daily routine.

Another notable feature of the Apple Watch Series 7 is its always-on retina display. This move brings it closer to traditional watches, which often have mechanical parts that don't require constant attention. The watch's screen is now always visible, eliminating the need for manual adjustments or turning off the display when not in use. This subtle yet significant improvement makes the watch more user-friendly and convenient.

Customization options are also plentiful with the Apple Watch Series 7. The bands are a key aspect of this, offering users a wide range of choices to suit their preferences. Personal experience has shown that I have a soft spot for sports loops, which allow for full adjustment. My wife, on the other hand, prefers the braided solo loop, even trying it out and finding it comfortable despite not being perfectly sized for me. The availability of third-party bands, including high-end options like leather watch straps, provides users with an almost unlimited selection to customize their physical experience.

Lastly, the cellular version of the Apple Watch Series 7 is a game-changer. While I'm not sure if everyone will need this feature, it has been an essential component for me since moving to a cellular-enabled watch. The ability to use the watch as a standalone communication device without carrying my iPhone around is incredibly convenient. This feature also enhances music capabilities, allowing users to stream and manage their playlists directly from the watch. Gone are the days of transferring music from my phone to the watch while keeping it next to me; now, all it takes is a tap.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Apple Watch Series 7, particularly for those who already own an iPhone. While it's essential to acknowledge that this device should complement traditional medical care rather than replace it, its features and functionality make it an invaluable tool in the realm of health and wellness. With its improved charging time, always-on display, customization options, and cellular capabilities, the Apple Watch Series 7 has truly revolutionized the smartwatch landscape.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthe apple watch series 7 is absolutely one of the most convenient tech devices that i've ever owned and after using it every single day for the last few months i think it's time to just come out and say it you should buy the apple watch series 7. so why is that let's find out quick note before we get right into the video itself first off nobody is sponsoring this video no one provided me the apple watch and no one is standing like just off camera right here with an angry glare feeding me anything to say i pre-ordered and purchased this watch myself and another quick note i'm not much of a quote-unquote watch guy so i think that's about as close to middling personal bias as we're gonna get next note despite that super engaging intro no i don't actually want you to buy everything in the you should buy series this is a series about the exciting and positive parts about exumer technology that's a little more direct because you know youtube if there is one person that has to buy everything in this series it's me it's me i will not make a you should buy video if i haven't purchased it first that's enough of that onto the video of all the tech that i talk about in my videos i would say the macbook is the one i use the most because i work on it for hours a day followed by my iphone because i tweet on it for hours a day and you might think that third place trophy would go to something like the ipad or airpods or something like that but in actuality my number three most used piece of tech is my apple watch i use this an awful lot every single day my favorite hobby you know besides running all this youtube stuff is running and i straight up will not run if my watch isn't ready now that i think about it the airpods pro are pretty high up there too but i wear my watch throughout the day and i only wear my airpods to run so for receipts check out my sweet apple watch tan i think you can still kind of see it even though it's like the winter there's not as much sun out there i think you can still see my sweet tan alright the very first reason you should buy the apple watch series 7 is maybe don't yes i really enjoy this watch yes i think it's absolutely a worthwhile addition to somebody's personal ecosystem and i do think the series seven is the best apple watch thus far yes i made a whole video to hype up my favorite watch but all apple watches are really good and a better title of this video would just be hey you should buy an apple watch there are better places to buy in at a lower price point by finding a refurbished or used series 6 or series 5. because almost everything that i'm going to talk about in the rest of this video is actually available on that series 6 potentially for less money not to be a downer i'm not trying to be a downer here today but i hate people wasting money if you are fine lacking a few key differences just to get everything an apple watch can do okay first actual reason to buy the series seven easily the display this new and updated display makes this watch so much easier to use i've never thought apple watches were particularly tough to use i mean all you have to do is tap on the watch and on the picture of what you want and you're good to go but you don't realize how much more difficult that is on the smaller screens from previous iterations if you look at the technical specs the difference between the six and the seven looks i mean it looks minuscule so small that i wouldn't blame you for being confused on why somebody would buy this new variation the thing is though that little difference makes a whole world of change when you consider how big of a percentage of change it is on a screen this small for clarification i always buy the smaller watch size i said this in a previous videos but i spent years almost a decade wearing a huge aggressive hyper masculine watch and i loved that watch that watch and i went through some very difficult times together i don't that's not hyperbole that's not exaggeration there were some tough times in my life a few years ago that watch was with me the whole way and it never once let me down well until the strat broke about 10 years into that ownership i needed my wrist to be a little more free so because i don't like having my hand constrained as much i go for smaller watches when able and you know back to the apple watch maybe that screen size is not as different on the larger options i honestly don't know i've never bought the larger apple watch but on the 41 millimeter face it's a drastic difference because the screen is bigger all the little icons can be a little bigger too i went from essentially needing to stop running if i wanted to change your song or something because i couldn't tap the little arrows correctly to being able to just change things on the fly because it's easier to do you definitely won't see what i'm talking about from just this video alone like looking at this watch face here you're probably not going to be able to tell that much of a difference even if you went to an apple store or a best buy to try it out and look at it in person it's really when you are in the moment and you're trying to use a watch and i guess i wouldn't call it a stressful time but if you were trying to use it in an imperfect environment because your arm is bouncing all around and you're tired and you just can't listen to the room where it happens from hamilton for the 30th time this month that's where the extra screen real estate helps and as much as i generally like to show what i'm talking about you're kind of just gonna have to take my word on this point objectively it's just so much easier to use my series 7 than any of the other apple watches that i've ever owned it's just that good the next reason to buy the apple watch is for those of us that are always moving you might be out running like me you might be running errands for the family who knows what you were doing but i can almost guarantee that you are a busy person we are all busy people anymore the crossover reminders from the watch to your phone or to your computer they are life savers yes you could do the same thing with your phone but personally i have an absolute garbage short-term memory so if i don't set the reminder exactly when i'm thinking about it chances are the next shiny thing will snag my attention and it'll be two weeks before i realized i missed that deadline and what's crazy to me is i don't use siri in any other way shape or form i don't use her with my mac or on my iphone but i rely on her a ton using my watch on the watch you get several ways to interact you can just turn on hey siri it's crazy my phone heard me just now you can set it to turn on when you raise your wrist or because i hate all of those you can just hold the crown for a couple of seconds and she'll pop up then i say something like remind me that i need to make this video at 5 pm and boom the reminder is set across your entire apple id you can also send text messages or other things like this and i know i tie a lot of things into my running but some of my best ideas come from when i'm trying to do literally anything then pay attention to how much i hate running up this hill and i can get those into at least usable form from my watch no it doesn't always perfectly copy what i say but it's always in some format that at least jogs my admittedly terrible memory and i love it besides the fitness tech of the watch this is the absolute most useful feature for me so team i cannot i have an awful memory the next reason why the apple watch series 7 is because of all of those health features that apple touts i know it's probably pretty easy to be skeptical about all of the health claims that apple makes about the watch and let me put up a big old disclaimer here that i'm a product manager in my day job i'm not a doctor i'm not even anything close to a doctor and before you do anything health related you should absolutely check it with your doctor first because they are the experts not me but all of those health features are really awesome and obviously from a fitness standpoint i love being able to see my heart rate during a run without wearing one of those chest strap heart rate monitors because after a few miles they get real gross and they get real uncomfortable i like knowing my vo2 max without having to take a dedicated test and i like having my routes tracked and automatically updated to the fitness app so i can see trends over time though the coolest part about the apple watch is not the fitness stuff even though the fitness stuff is awesome and sleep tracking who who even knew that i needed to track my sleep my sleep and i have a weird relationship right now the coolest part about the watch is because it can know you it can tell when things are off this isn't just some hyperbole or something i saw from apple's website but a no-kidding friend of mine i mean you might know him as joel from the 3d printing nerd he legitimately had his watch clue him in on a health problem and was able to make it to the hospital on time because of his apple watch and that's amazing and i'm really glad that he was able to take care of him because if you didn't know it there would absolutely not be the everyday dad without the amazing things joel has done over on his channel and if you were into 3d printing well you probably already know who joel is and if not if you don't know anything about 3d printing you should go check his channel out anyway because he's awesome so the watch will measure your blood oxygen levels check your heart rate and can do an ecg pretty much wherever i don't want to call it the future of health even though apple does but i will call it incredibly useful and while it doesn't replace a doctor it's nice to have access to real-time health information that can also be used by professionals to potentially address issues that they can't see in the single snapshot they get of your vitals when you go in for a checkup this is it's seriously amazing stuff the next reason to buy the series 7 is a lot of the nice to haves around the body of the watch itself the series 7 is supposed to charge 33 faster than previous models and that's darn important because the biggest hurdle in somebody buying an apple watch is getting your mind around the idea that you need to charge your watch pretty frequently that big watch i spoke about earlier went that decade without needing charged once it was solar-powered the darn thing just never stopped working and i never needed to manage that my apple watch on the other hand gets real mad at me if i skip a single day of plugging it in that's not a small problem to overcome for a watch trying to get somebody new to buy the product so being able to get it back into the rotation 33 faster i think is a pretty big win we're not totally there yet as a one-to-one replacement but we're getting there in baby steps this watch also has an always-on retina display moving it even closer into the normal watch space earlier iterations of the watch would turn the screen off unless you were actively tapping on it or using it so now that you can always see what time it is you know like a regular old boring watch with mechanical parts that takes out another friction point moving somebody that used traditional watches to the hyper digital future like babe we got to get people there slowly because there's a lot of things about regular watches that are just seamless whereas there's a lot of friction here you can also get a lot of customization from the bands and a lot of those bands are some of my favorite watch bands of all time personally as you can see here i use the sports loop don't like either of those options there is basically an unlimited selection out there from first party apple choices to third-party pretty high-end like leather watch bands you can essentially customize the physical nature of the watch as much as you can customize its digital layout and the last reason i would give to buy the apple watch really only counts if you go all in and get the cellular version which i'm not sure i would recommend to everyone but i personally would have a hard time going back to a gps only variant it's just so much easier to use and it's really easy to use this as your whole communication device if you don't want to carry your phone around with you i've always got my watch and i've always got my earpods so i don't even need my phone to take calls or send text messages plus if you are somebody that wants to use their watch for music having the cellular version makes it so much easier like holy crap it's almost like an entirely different device when you don't have to rely on your iphone to transfer music to the watch because that sucks maybe it's gotten better in the last year or so since i've moved to a cellular watch but you used to need to download the i'm pointing to my phone right now because it's controlling my teleprompter you used to need to download the music to your phone add it to a specific playlist then transfer it over to the watch while keeping the watch next to your phone and it went so slow i hated it i hated it so much now it's tap and you're done but at the end of the day so what right look i really really like the apple watch and i continue to think of it as the only useful smartwatch yes i've tried a whole bunch of other options and nothing else stacks up yes it sucks that you need an iphone to use this but if you've already got an iphone this is the thing that i would easily recommend and if you like this video and you want to see my follow-up thoughts on the macbook air one year later because
