The Unboxing of the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger
As I opened the package to reveal my new Nexus 4 wireless charger, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia. It's been months since I first got my hands on the Nexus 4, and I had almost given up hope of ever getting my hands on one of these wireless chargers again. However, it seems that Google has finally started reselling them on Google Play for around $60. If you're a regular follower of our channel on Twitter or phone.com, you probably already knew about this, but I'm thrilled to have finally got my hands on one.
The Box itself is identical to the one that came with the Nexus 4. The front of the box features pictures of the wireless charger and some Nexus branding, while the back reminds us that it's an original accessory from LG. On top left, you'll see the Google logo, along with a model number (WCP 400), which should provide some reassurance about the product's authenticity. Inside the box, we find directions in multiple languages, instructing us to simply place our Nexus 4 on the wireless charger to start charging.
Moving down the box, we see a barcode and the typical logos for regulatory bodies like FCC and recycling. There are also some additional Nexus 4 branding elements, reiterating that this is indeed a wireless charger. At the bottom of the box, you'll find the LG logo, accompanied by similar markings as before. It's clear that the packaging has been designed to evoke a sense of familiarity with the original Nexus 4 box.
To open up the box, we need to carefully flip it over and cut through the clear plastic sticker on top. Once we've done this, we can prop off the top part of the box to reveal what's inside. As you would expect, the first thing that catches your eye is the wireless charger itself – a simple yet elegant design with a grippy feel to it. This feature should give you peace of mind when placing your phone on the charger.
Alongside the wireless charger, we find a quick start guide, which provides a detailed explanation of how to use the product. If the instructions on the back of the box weren't clear enough, this guide should help clarify things. We also have a standard USB cable included, which looks slightly different from your typical cables – although it's likely still compatible.
The USB wall adapter is another element that catches our attention, as it's slightly longer than usual. While there's nothing particularly special about it, I suppose some users may appreciate the extra length. Finally, we have the wireless charger itself, which is where all the magic happens. With a simple plug-and-play design, you can effortlessly charge your phone without having to deal with cables or messy power cords.
Now that we've unpacked the box and revealed the contents, it's time to put our new wireless charger to the test. I carefully place my Nexus 4 on the charger and listen as the device begins to hum along – a reassuring sound that tells me everything is working smoothly. As you can see from the video footage, even when I accidentally throw my phone onto the charger, it still manages to stick securely in place.

since all the way back in November when I first got the Nexus 4 and it's been unavailable until just recently when Google started reselling it on Google Play for about $60 if you guys follow us on Twitter or phone.com you probably already knew that but anyways I'm really excited to do this unboxing so let's go ahead and get right into it we'll start off this unboxing by taking a look at the Box itself as you can see the Box looks very similar to the one that came with the Nexus 4 on the front of the box it reminds you that this is indeed a wireless charger with some pictures of the orb some Nexus branding on the top left and an LG sticker at the top right letting you know that it's an original accessory on the back you get a Google logo and a model number which is wcp 400 and you get some directions in a couple of different languages which simply tells you to place your Nexus 4 on the wireless charger to begin charging shouldn't be too hard to figure out so going further down the Box you get a barcode and your typical logos for things like FCC and recycling on the left side of the Box there's some Nexus 4 branding it tells you again that it's a wireless charger right below it and at the bottom there you get the LG logo and on the right side you pretty much get the same exact thing top and bottom are completely blank so we'll go ahead and open this guy up all right so to open up the box we first have to flip it over get our trusty eraser and cut through the clear plastic sticker on the top of the box all right so we'll go ahead and prop off the top part of the box and reveal what's on the inside go ahead and slide it out and there you go you have your Nexus 4 wireless charger of course you have your quick start guide which you know if the directions on the back of the box weren't enough for you you have a detailed guide explaining how to use it which is pretty much plug it in and stick your phone on it but anyway you have a USB cable over here in the carton which is kind of hard to get out but your typical USB cable um looks a little bit different on the tip which you know might be optimized to fit into the but seems like a normal one would work too you have your USB wall adapter which is a little bit longer than your typical but nothing really special there and last but not least you have the orb or the wireless charger itself and we'll go ahead and take off this plastic part my favorite part of unboxings usually with phones is taking off the screen protector guess this will actually have to do but there you go you have the orb which has a little bit of a grippy feel to it which you know makes you feel pretty secure as far as your phone you know sticking on it and not falling off on the back you have your USB charging port the bottom you just have your FCC logos and whatnot but that is pretty much it for what's inside of the Box we'll go ahead and demo how the Nexus 4 works when you actually dock it onto the orb and let you listen to the sound it makes with Android 4.2.2 as you can see it works pretty well even when I kind of threw the Nexus 4 on there it was still able to stick onto the orb so I wouldn't worry too much about the phone slipping off all right guys that's pretty much it for me in this unboxing if you found this video helpful please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel for more videos just like this
