2019 was a hell of a year (Channel update)

Here is the reorganized text in a well-structured format:

I want to start by saying thank you, Paul, for helping me out with my channel. Like 60 Hertz to 144 Hertz and Paul actually did a video where he spoke about this topic and gave like a really epic shoutout in his video telling all of his subscribers to come check out my channel and then I posted the wish GTX 750ti video like right after that. I think there was one video in between, but because of how well that video did compared to all the videos I had posted over the last two years of my channel, I guess the algorithm was like we need to push this and that really sparked the growth on the channel.

So, Paul you helped me out there. Like if you haven't seen his channel yet, go check it out. It's just the eyes. It's been so crazy. I really appreciate it. About a week ago, I did that video asking you for feedback on which kind of budget pre-built gaming system I should buy on Amazon because I feel like that's a very undercovered topic and it was pretty clear that the community wanted me to buy that like $600 Acer PC with the 8700 in it and the RX 580. The kind of bonus build.

The thing is though, I've been looking for that PC for the last three days, kind of looking at separate points and I can't find it at that price anymore. The reason that I put that bonus PC in was because while I was editing and looking at the specs of the various builds, it kind of popped up on Amazon and it looked like a really great buy. So, I thought I'd drop that in, but unfortunately, you can't buy it at that price anymore there's a similarly spec one for like $800 bucks, I think, but that's not in the budget that I set out for the video.

So, unfortunately, that's not the one I'm going with. I'm actually going with the second runner-up, which is that ridiculous 10-core APU build. Now, there are a couple of reasons why I think that's gonna be a really interesting video. The first one is that it's actually the cheapest pre-built system that you can buy on Amazon. So, I think that's a really interesting kind of thing to look at and yeah, it's just ridiculous. Sorry about that, sorry that I couldn't get the bonus option but I kind of just can't find it anymore.

Another thing, going into 2020, I'm actually gonna be scaling back the amount of videos that I make a week. I kind of have mixed feelings about doing this, but I feel like it's necessary in 2019, I aimed to do three videos a week every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, but the kind of time that it takes to make all of the videos mixed with how difficult it is to come up with three unique video ideas per week, I don't actually think that that's realistic anymore. Because if I was the kind of channel that just did three product reviews a week, that would be fine. That's pretty easy to do.

But doing more unique content, it takes long to make and it's also quite difficult to think of new stuff to do. So, from the beginning of January, I'm going to be doing a video on Wednesday and a video on Saturday, which gives me enough time to make really good content for you. I feel like it's it's important for me to spend more time making better content than just trying to spam your inboxes with stuff.

So, yeah, let me know what you think about that in the comments section below. Because honestly, in 2019, I only got three videos a week every three or four weeks and that meant that the rest of the time I would kind of be quite bummed out about not meeting my goal. So, I think two videos a week is a lot more realistic.

So, hopefully, even with scaling back the amount of content I make every week, 2020 is still gonna be a really exciting year anyway. Thank you very much for watching, and until the next video, bye-bye.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhappy new year so quite New Year's yet but it's more like happy end of 2019 I guess and Merry Christmas to you who celebrate Christmas and if you don't celebrate Christmas I just hope you had a great December and a great 2019 and we're entering a new decade we're actually going into the 20s which is a bit weird because it feels like we're going back a hundred years more than going into the future I actually think in 2020 I'm gonna have to film all of my videos in black and white I think it's the only thing that makes sense now there are a couple of things that I want to talk to you about in this video the first one is obviously the fact that 2019 has been a crazy year for dhaba does tech stuff and I just it's all because of you I really appreciate it yeah you are really awesome like just everybody that's been engaging with videos liking subscribing all of that it's just it's been amazing it's it's really great and then also I want to talk to you about a couple of like content related changes that's gonna happen in 2020 not big stuff just you know upload schedule and you know an update on the Amazon pre-built video you know just just little things like that and with that let's get into it now 2019 has been crazy not only Indaba does tech stuff but also just generally in my life I mean we ended last year leaving Japan where we had been living for two years so that was quite a big upheaval because we were pretty settled there but yeah so we left there and then we spent like two to three months living between Namibia and South Africa with like various family members because we were waiting for like our visa stuff to be finalized for Canada and then we moved to Canada and that's been exciting and just life has been happening really quickly in 2019 and then there's obviously darvid Aztec stuff which is done amazingly well this year I mean like I had I I had planned on expanding the channel this year but it just went way above and beyond what I ever expected was gonna I just checked socialblade and on the first of January of 2019 the channel was sitting at a thousand and seventy-nine subscribers today which is Monday just before New Year's the channel is sitting at fifty seven thousand six hundred subscribers that's crazy like I really can't believe that this kind of growth happened and I really appreciate everybody that's been around since the beginning and I'm really happy with everybody that's joined in the last year like honestly a lot of you that there are still commenting on videos I recognize from like a hundred sub days so you guys are awesome everybody is awesome the dhaba this tech stuff community is actually really great there's a lot of positivity even even on the videos that aren't so good so thank you very much you made my year amazing and I really appreciate that now just to expand a little bit on how the growth happened over the year the first six months very little happened on the channel in fact at the beginning of July the channel is actually at 2700 subscribers so it means that the majority of that growth happened in the last in the last six months which is just it's just crazy like I I can't believe that it's happened that quickly now there are actually a couple of YouTube channels that I want to thank for really helping make 2019 a great year for Devadas tech stuff the first one is major hardware he actually also had a really good year this year he makes really great content I really enjoy his channel there was a period I think it was in about June where I was getting pretty frustrated the channel was was was kind of struggling to grow even though I was making more content and I didn't quite understand what was happening there and then and then major hardware actually picked up the gauntlet of one of my random like weird cooling solution videos and he gave me a really great shout out there and it brought over a bunch of subscribers from his channel and yeah I really appreciate that major hardware your channels awesome guys if you haven't seen his channel yet go check it out it's really great and then there was Paul from not an Apple fan like he he really helped me out this year because again you know there was that kind of like real lull and growth in the channel and then I did a video with Anna where we compared like 60 Hertz to 144 Hertz and Paul actually did a video where he you know kind of spoke about this topic and he gave like a really epic shout out in his video telling all of his subscribers to come check out like my channel and then I posted the wish gtx 750ti video like right after that i think there was one video in between and then because of how well that video did in comparison to all of the videos that i had posted over the last two years of my channel I guess the algorithm was like we need to push this and that really sparked the growth on the channel so Paul you helped me out there like if you haven't seen his channel yet go check it out I'll have both major hardware and not an Apple fan linked in the description below it's just the eyes it's been so crazy I really appreciate it about a week ago I did that video asking you for feedback on which kind of like budget pre-built gaming system I should buy on Amazon because I feel like that's a very under covered topic and it was pretty
