BooklyBox Unboxing!

The Joys of Reading with Book Lovers Box

As I opened the September book box from Book Lovers Box, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. This subscription box is more than just a delivery of books to my doorstep; it's an opportunity to explore new worlds, meet new characters, and experience different perspectives. The back of this box has some information about the town in Zimbabwe where the book was sourced, which I found fascinating. It turns out that a significant amount of money allocated to education is matched by a literacy rate that's impressive for a country with such limited resources.

I love that Book Lovers Box donates books to those who need them most. This subscription box is not just about sending books to readers; it's also about giving people the right to an education and the freedom to explore their imagination. The back of this box has all sorts of information about the town, including the literacy rate, which I found really interesting.

Inside the box, I found a cute little bookmark with the quote "Think before you speak, read before you think." I love this quote and I genuinely felt like it was meant for me. On the other side of the bookmark, there's a cute little image that says "Book Lovers Box" in a playful font. The box itself is beautifully designed, with a lovely color scheme that matches the theme of the book.

In addition to the bookmark, there are several other goodies inside the box. There's a feather-shaped pen, which I'm absolutely obsessed with. I love the idea of writing with a quill and pretending to be a fancy writer. The pen is made of high-quality materials and feels substantial in my hand. Next to the pen is a packet of organic peachy green tea, which sounds delicious. I've never had a fruit-flavored green tea before, so I'm excited to try this out.

There are actually several other little things inside the box that caught my eye. I found a small notebook called "Field Notes" with 48 pages of blank space. As someone who loves journaling, I was thrilled to see another journal in the box. The notebook is beautifully designed and has a lovely cover that invites me to start writing.

Finally, there's the book itself – "Now Is a Scandalous Time" by Jaishree Mishra. This is the September book from Book Lovers Box, and I'm excited to dive into its world. From the outside, the book looks beautiful, with a stunning cover that catches my eye. I've never heard of this author before, so I'm looking forward to discovering her work.

The synopsis of the book reads: "Nia and Sharat, a golden couple from Delhi, appear to have it all – glamour, money, and a beautiful home. But a dark secret from Nia's past is about to resurface while studying at Oxford, a naive 18-year-old Nia fell pregnant and chose to put the baby up for adoption, severing all contact with her little girl Sonya, who is now a fully grown woman determined to find her birth mother." I'm intrigued by this story and can't wait to read it.

Overall, I was thoroughly enjoying my September book box from Book Lovers Box. The bookmark and pen were adorable, the tea was delicious, and the notebook was perfect for journaling. But what really made the box special was the choice of book – "Now Is a Scandalous Time" by Jaishree Mishra is exactly what I needed to get lost in, and I'm excited to see where this story takes me.

If you're interested in subscribing to Book Lovers Box, I'd be happy to share my experience with you. The box comes in different genres each month, so you can choose the one that suits your taste. Personally, I would choose magical realism – it's a genre that I'm absolutely obsessed with, and I love exploring new worlds and meeting new characters. But ultimately, the choice of genre is up to you, and I'd love to hear from you in the comments below: which genre would you choose if you could get any book every month?

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys it's Hannah and today I'm coming to you with a fun unboxing video and today I'm gonna be unboxing the Buckley box for the month of September so Buckley box is a monthly bookish subscription box that sends out a new book every single month and the thing that I think is really cool about this box in particular is that you can pick and choose from a wide range of genres so on their website they have an entire list of their different genres that they send out so they send out multiple different boxes so let's say one month you're really in the mood for mystery you can get the mystery box for that month and then the next month you really want to read some fantasies so that month you can switch and then get the fantasy box so I just think that that's a really cool idea the other really cool thing about Buckley box is that they have like an online community of all of their subscribers so you can just go on there and chat with the other subscribers about the book that you got in your box or just books in general and it just builds a bookish community which obviously i think is really great and my personal favorite thing about this box is that for every single one purchased they donate a book to those in need and there's like a list of the different organizations but based on their books too so you can go and check them out and it might tell you in here which specific one that they sent one to but i just think that that's a wonderful thing because I would love to spread literacy everywhere I think that it's so important and I just think it's wonderful that they do that I would sent this box by the lovely people over at Berkley box and I'm actually a book lis box affiliate so if you would like to purchase a box for yourself or for a friend as a gift then you can use my promo code of Clockwork if you enter that you will get 10% off of your book lis box and just your subscription in general so it'll carry over on to the next ones so you can get 10% off every single month which is a pretty great deal so I will leave all of the information for book V box as well as my promo code down below if you would like to check it out for yourself but without any further ado let's get into the actual unboxing so I actually don't remember which box I picked I either picked the fantasy one or the literary fiction one so I'm gonna be like double surprised in this one a but that just makes it more exciting all right let's open up what is this okay okay so this is the little card that tells you where they donated the book for this month and for September they donated their books to books for Africa the books for the month are donated to a town in Zimbabwe and the goal of the project is to give every child in that town the right to an education and the right to give their imagination the wings to explore beyond their dreams the back of this has some information about the town in Zimbabwe like the amount of allocated money that goes to education literacy rate and all of that so this is really really cool I just think that this is a really wonderful thing that they do and something that's unique I haven't seen any other subscription boxes who donate books like this and I think more of them definitely should so this makes me really happy and so onto the book which is in this nice little booklet box bag let's open it up and see what the book is okay actually there are some other things in here first first we have this little bookmark which is really really cute it says think before you speak read before you think I love this this is so great and on the other side of it says I'm reading with this cute little image and then it says book we box at the bottom I genuinely love this book work like I love the quote on the front here this is great and then there is some chai tea in here and it's pumpkin spice flavored which is perfect for September oh my god okay so this is so cool I actually saw a picture of tea in here and this is organic peachy green tea I've never had a fruit flavored green tea before so I'm excited to try this and see how it tastes there are actually a lot more little things in here that I was expecting which is really fun but the last thing in here before the book is this little notebook that just says field notes it's a 48 page memo book if you guys follow me on tumblr you might know that I journal because I post pictures of my journal a lot of the time so I'm always happy to get another little notebook or a journal so I really like this and finally the book for this month's box and I'm pretty sure that I chose literary fiction now is a scandalous secret by jaishree Mishra I think that's how you pronounce it I'm sorry the cover of this is absolutely beautiful I'm obsessed with the colors and the design I've never heard of this book and never seen it so I've absolutely no idea what it's about so I'm gonna read the synopsis so we can figure it out so the synopsis reads they had a perfect marriage glamor money and a beautiful home Nia and Sharat a golden couple of Delhi appear to have it but a dark secret from Nina's past is about to resurface while studying at Oxford a naive 18 year old Nia fell pregnant and chose to put the baby up for adoption severing all contact but her little girl Sonya is now a fully grown woman determined to find her birth mother with the foundation of Nia and Sherrod swirled rocks to it's very core well Sonja's arrival in Delhi push it over the edge and as Sonia begins to confront Nia can a mother and daughter allow themselves to forgive and forget so this sounds like it's gonna be a really really interesting story about family I'm actually really excited to read this and like I said I've never heard of this before so this is like a really nice surprise and the synopsis makes it sound like it's gonna be really cool so hopefully it is but that is everything that was in the September book lis box I
