QUEEN OF SHADOWS BY SARAH J MAAS _ Book Reviews in Bed

I recently finished reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and I must say it was a truly epic conclusion to the series. One of my favorite parts of the book was seeing Aen with a new female friend, instead of all these males she's constantly surrounded by. It was definitely a nice change of pace for her character development. I also appreciated how this newfound friendship brought out a softer side of Aen, as well as the fact that Lysandra is a shifter. My camera just turned off, so continuing the story began interlocking um intertwining should I say actually and I realized I'd better actually find out what this whole witch business is about and so I basically read all of the Witch series chapters one after another.

I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining they were and how much I've grown to like Manon. Quite disappointed that she was working with Perington or whatever he's called Duke Perington. I'd love to talk about Calan, the fact that Vassa King Aroan has taken complete control of Calame because she has magic. I guess it's a form of magic that she has kind of similar to Aelin with the whole fire thing, or so I don't really know. She has clearly had some sort of magic. It was quite a sad story about Caltine because she'd obviously been abused and I knew she was a little bit like Celaena in Throne of Glass but you know it's not a very nice way for her to go out, was it? Blowing herself up and then leaving that stone and a message for a lead to give to Aelin and yet Calain didn't know that Selena was actually Aelin who the lead is looking for.

Lastly, I'd just like to go over the whole Dorian part of the story. And also I guess his dad, the king so these cerss, these black collars that Dorian and Calan and um his dad it turns out are wearing. I think or he's wearing a ring or something, he's being controlled by the King was in some way this they actually ended up playing playing a massive role in the book because not only had they been controlling Dorian but they had also been controlling Duke Perington and the king of Adelant. A part of me thinks that Doran should have left his father alive as Aen was saying you know or thinking to herself there was so much that they could have asked him and it really could have sort of progressed and made you know helped them but I guess Dorian had been through enough and hated his father, whichever body he took. The end of this book was definitely the most epic ending I think there has been out of all the books.

I mean again I haven't read Empire of Storms yet so who knows but this one was pretty cool with the whole like The Glass Castle part of the castle shattering and the whole not knowing if kale was dead. I thought he was dead when it was just like said something like he felt peaceful in the blue light or something like that. I was like he's gone, it's it's per she's written him out perfectly it's done he's dead and then of course he is not he's alive. I wonder if that was the right thing to do but I guess the other books will tell maybe kale will still play a key part in the stories we don't know to be honest.

It does sort of feel like I've been reading two completely different stories because not only do we have this Selena versus Aen, but we also have completely different character focuses. So in the first two books the focus is completely on Selena and kale and Dorian whereas in the third and fourth books the focus is completely on Aen Rowan Adon and lysandra. I have to admit the last few paragraphs I welled up, I was so happy that Aen got to go back to Terason when they were describing how beautiful Terason sounded.

I wanted to go with them honestly this line the last line killed me and at long last alien ashria ganus was home she's home honestly I feel a lot bit emotional again. That was me going on about random things these talks are not structured I'm going to be finished with this pretty soon um and so I'm definitely going to do a review that one too. I like maybe I want to give this like stars so I'm going to say out of 10 Stars I can't do five, 10 Stars I give this a strong eight, I think tipping on a nine. This was a good book okay I'll see you later bye
