[My Next Ferrari] The NEW Ferrari Roma

The Ferrari Roma: A Masterclass in Design and Performance

As I stepped out into the beautiful sunshine to take my first look at the Ferrari Roma, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The car's design is truly stunning, with sleek lines and aggressive features that make it stand out from its competitors. Whether you're a seasoned car enthusiast or just a fan of Ferrari, the Roma is sure to turn heads on the road.

One of the first things I noticed was the car's front bumper, which boasts a bold, angular design with subtle details like winglets, rivets, and holes that give it a sense of depth and complexity. The air intakes are also cleverly designed, adding to the overall sense of performance and aggression. And then there are the wheels, which initially seemed a bit dodgy but ultimately proved to be a great fit for the car.

But it's not just about looks - the Roma is also a powerhouse on the road. With its powerful engine and advanced technology, it's clear that Ferrari has put a lot of thought into creating a driving experience like no other. And as I looked closer at the car, I started to notice all sorts of details that showed just how much care and attention had gone into its design.

For example, take a look at the interior, which features a beautiful combination of materials and colors that create a truly unique and exciting space. The Alcantara trim is particularly noteworthy, with its dark tan color adding a touch of sophistication to what could otherwise be a bit of an industrial aesthetic. And then there's the steering wheel, which may seem like a small detail but actually adds a lot to the overall feel of the car.

But one of the things that really sets the Roma apart is its unique blend of old and new. While it shares some design cues with other Ferrari models, it also has some distinct features that make it stand out from the crowd. Whether you're looking for a sleek, modern design or a more traditional Italian aesthetic, the Roma has something to offer.

Of course, one of the most interesting things about the Roma is its place in the Ferrari lineup. Is it a "stopgap" car, designed to fill a gap between some of the other models? Or is it something entirely new and exciting? As I looked at the car more closely, I started to think that it might actually be both - a bridge between the old and the new, with its unique blend of design cues and advanced technology.

Whatever the case, one thing is clear: the Ferrari Roma is an incredible car that's sure to turn heads on the road. With its bold design, powerful engine, and advanced technology, it's a true masterpiece of automotive engineering. And as I couldn't help but feel, even with all the excitement and anticipation surrounding this new model, it's still going to sell like hotcakes.

I also have to say that I'm excited about getting behind the wheel of the Roma and the F, Tribute, in the months ahead. I've always been fascinated by the idea of spec-ing out a car to see what it would do - and who knows, maybe one day I'll even be able to afford a Ferrari of my own! But for now, I'm just looking forward to getting behind the wheel and experiencing all that this incredible machine has to offer.

Finally, I wanted to take a moment to talk about the dealership experience. After being away from dealerships for so long, it's been great to be back among the cars again - especially when they're new and exciting like the Roma. If you're planning on buying a car or just want to come and check out some of the latest models, I'd highly recommend visiting your local dealership. And who knows, maybe one day I'll even get to take a test drive in a Ferrari - a dream that still seems pretty far off, but a guy can hope!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello one and all welcome to scene through glass many of you will know this but this week here in the UK car dealerships have finally been allowed to reopen after the government decided to ease some of their lockdown restrictions of course the minute dealerships reopen where do I head but to a Ferrari dealership not just any provide dealership either be my favorite for our dealership and potentially the best for I dealership in the UK it is of course dick love it in Swindon these guys always have amazing cars lying around and like all of the Frey dealerships around the world and even the Ferrari factory themselves they've taken part in something called the back on track program which basically allows them to operate kind of covert Safeco ba'd friendly way so yes we're gonna dive inside you can tell they've got some amazing things like this beautiful FA tributo demonstrator the spec on this is you are I'm gonna look over it in a second but most importantly lurking in the shadows behind me there is a car here today that I cannot wait to check out it is the brand new Ferrari Roma a car that I've only be able to look at pictures of it online I haven't seen one in the flesh yet I'm so intrigued by it but as you can tell I'm getting overexcited I need to come down let's go inside first distract ourselves some of the other beautiful Ferraris lying around then we'll come back check out the tribute oh and more importantly don't remember I decided to kick things off upstairs because I am in love with this 599 GTO spec I think a lot of people like their five nines in dark colors or at least GTOs and kind of you know their satin grays and blacks and things like that but for me Ferrari red is always a win and this just looks perfectly all the sort of black details black wheels black wing there is the black stripe and of course you will have noticed is parked next to a very nice specially I actually don't love the spec of that specially as much as I love that GTO spec not just new or newer cars down here at take loved it they are also classic a approved or certified which means they get to work on the older cars and no better example than this stunning Daytona absolutely love the look of this with that tan leather interior with of course these Daytona inserts have you come to spec your new Ferrari and you get offered Daytona inserts that's what it means those sort of stripes in the middle there and it's named after this very car where I think that was introduced for the first time but yeah stunning stunning example and I can't think of the last time I saw a yellow California tea imagining so it's kind of great with the black wheels and stuff just it somehow looks a bit more purposeful and together obviously the California has never been a massively loved fry it's sold incredibly well you see them all over the place but I think for purists like me we kind of see it as maybe a bit of an entry-level car not a true fry maybe a bit more of a Maserati well that's a bit rude but anyway it is still fantastic to drive and I think potentially he's gonna start to be a steal I mean the gen 1 California is kind of 1890 grand and these counties were arguably a lot better so in that spec I think it's a winner right next to it we obviously have the Portofino the latest kind of version or variant which the Romo is an iteration of I was going to say it's based on but it's not it's a kind of iteration of the Portofino but more on that later when we get round to having a proper look at that Romo but yeah I'm a fan of this of this yellow Cali tee I've run outside because the guys have literally just taken delivery of this incredible 4/8 pista in a one-off color code Azurill La Plata I'm probably not pronouncing that right but it's blue and it's baby blue and it's amazing with the white stripe the black wheels people have been so brave with their spec choices on pista and I have to applaud it whilst I of course am a fan of resale red this is just breathtaking so yes so I'm a little bit out of breath because I saw this and ran amazing so here we go then the main show the main reason I was so excited to get down here today the all-new ferrari roma and it's kind of hard to believe that i'm seeing this in the flesh for the first time because I've stared at so many pictures of it online I just I feel like I know it but then I don't um just a quick refresh for those you that don't really know much about this car you think of it as a sort of Ferrari Portofino it kind of on crack it's supposed to be more of a driver's car than the Portofino is even though it shares a lot of sort of similar components it of course has a fixed hard Rufus is not a convertible this is a sort of through and through GT car but but stiffer more aggressive it does have the 3.9 liter turbocharged v8 that the Portofino does but stepped up to six hundred and eleven horsepower another sort of hint towards why this cars a bit more of a driver's car than the Portofino it gets five switches or five positions on the manettino not just three like in the portfolio you get race mode race mode this thing is definitely set up to be a proper Doha I think of it more as a sort of Vantage rival than a DB 11 rival this isn't a Bentley Continental GT this is something a bit more honed in but for me visually that's where that's where I think it's mind blown because it kind of harks back I feel like - a previous era of Ferrari it's kind of 6-1 - Scalia t 575 it's just got this kind of classic look but modernized and whilst it does look a little bit like some other cars f-type I do really like it and the big thing for me of their proportions is from photos that's why I couldn't work out it seemed like I had a many massive front nose and just looked a bit bulbous but it's not it's it's small and compact and neat and let me show you inside because whilst the looks of this thing are pretty amazing on the outside inside where it gets really fast there now it's important to say that this is a pre-production model looks going to be doing their tour of the UK at the moment so that potential customers come can come and check it out but this is I mean this is perfect and and as I said it's a huge step up in my opinion for Ferrari interiors that have all kind of followed a relatively similar format for a while now but this feels very very different and I think it does have some elements that are carried over from SF 90 but as a sort of you know could you call it an entry level GT think of this more as a baby 812 than a hardtop Portofino does that make sense to you just look at the details obviously we got these massive screens which at the moment kind of giving you an idea of what they could display this reminds me almost of a sort of Tesla what this whole was center console is just chunky and meaty an amazing carbon fiber up here when they go fully digital display in front of us big old rev counter there's the manettino that I was talking to you about with its different switch positions engine start/stop button here kind of on this other digital screen which is kind of incorporated into the wheel all of these oh it's just fantastic I would love to spend a very long time in here and it is theoretically a 2+2 you really wouldn't be able to fit in on with legs back there so if you have friends that don't have legs it's a great option see this more is it as a big parcel shop I think potentially you could get a very small child maybe but there you go passenger despair imagine that would be an optional extra but I love that sort of curve around option and it almost reminds me of the Monza SP 2 or that kind of crazy limited version completely ruthless and windscreen this special car that Ferrari made because you're kind of separated into your own cockpits I feel like the passenger would feel like actually let's get in there let's go I'm gonna I want to do that one have a go in the passenger seat actually let's do a cool transition so yes here we go hopefully that worked um I I do I really feel like this is still a great place to sit and actually without the steering wheel you can kind of get to take in this whole situation even better nice little areas here a little cubby holes or nice carpet reaching up come on guys this is this is top level help people help the guys from tickler have very kindly agreed to bring the Roma out of the hand of AB a really so I can kind of show you the size comparison against that beautiful F a tribute oh because yes that's the thing which I struggle with the most and and have sort of you know been amazed by today's really the size of this car it's small the package is really compact and it just looks so great I think on the road or at least on the forecourt it is really reminding me of the new f-type and I think for I might be a bit upset that I'm saying that it's beautiful I think spec dependent like the FA I think you can either get its car very right or very wrong but I also think it will suit a lot of different colours but yeah there you go even though they're a little bit offset so of course the Roma is going to look a tiny bit bigger it's really not and it just looks really fantastic I think I'm noticing loads more details now it's out here in the beautiful sunshine and in fact I can come around the back for the first time because I couldn't really get around the back yeah and this is kind of the bit that I'm still a little bit undecided on it's very 6-1 to scale yet around here super rounded it kind of you know swoops its way off these new stand out tail like that kind of tucking on themselves it's still sort of aggressive but beautiful and very identifiable as Roma doesn't really cross over I don't think with any of the other models which I like but yeah she asked I mean look at that cabinets are so inviting Oh guys I am just doing this what are your thoughts is the Roma a win should it go in the bin okay so let's finally have a look at this car because I think this spec is doing it wonders I had really so not the effe until now I just been like ours not ready for me I don't understand the point of it I'd seen some bad specs especially out and to buy that red with the black roof it just was a little bit bland but not only am i noticing some more details because of the silver paint sink the whole package looks amazing so aggressive such a step forward I'm like all I want to do is jump in there and have a go so you have a few things that I'm noticing firstly just how angular this front bumper is or the little winglets and rivets and holes and an air air inlets and carbon fibers just amazing these wheels which I thought were quite dodgy a little bit like some of the eight twelve wheels actually I think it suits this pretty well and it starting to fit with the cars a lot more but it's this interior which is really combining together to make an unbelievable package I think it's that kind of Alcantara dark tan now the interior like I was sort of saying when I was in the Roma does hark back to sort of quite familiar interiors of recent years and Fry's it's not that different to even four five eight let alone four eight eight and maybe even eight twelve so yeah not a huge difference there from what you've seen before slightly different steering wheel I suppose but just this package in general then you come around the rear you also have these two rear taillights again carried over from eight twelve and it just looks fat and mean and it's got presence but what's so interesting is whilst this guy has lots of features that are familiar from the rest of the Ferrari range obviously the Roma completely different stands out on its own which is what I kind of like about it but I gotta stop getting distracted by this because of course I'm trying to show you this beautiful FA what are your thoughts but if people feel like this is kind of a stopgap something just in between the four the yeah the 48 and whatever's next or people excited by this I'm sure it's gonna sell like hotcakes because let's face it four eyes kind of tend to do so but there's not a lot of bars I suppose I do want to get behind the wheel of it and just check out what it is all about and really I want to get behind the wheel of this one because if it goes anywhere near as good as
