HTC Sense 5: A New Era of Android
The HTC One is more than just a phone, it's an experience. And one of the key features that sets it apart from its competitors is the BlinkFeed feature. This innovative interface allows you to see all the information you want to read in real-time. As you scroll through your feeds, you'll notice that more content becomes available. It's like having a live tile display on your home screen. You can add widgets here and customize them to suit your needs.
BlinkFeed also launches into an app drawer, which is designed to be easy to navigate. The HTC One has a different look and feel compared to other Android devices. Instead of the traditional back button, you'll find two buttons: a back button and a home button. Double-tapping the home button opens up the multitasking panel, which shows all the apps that are currently open on your device. You can close an app by swiping it up or launch into it by tapping it.
Another feature of the HTC One is its customizable interface. Long-pressing anywhere on the screen will bring up a list of widgets that you can add to your home screen. These include the classic HTC weather widget, as well as several other custom options. You can also view and customize other widgets by scrolling through the list.
One of the standout features of the BlinkFeed interface is its ability to show you all the latest news and updates in real-time. This means that you'll always have access to the information you need, without having to constantly check your apps or websites. The HTC One also includes a new weather widget, which is designed to be visually appealing.
But what about multitasking? In previous versions of Android, there was a dedicated button for opening up the multitasking panel. However, with Sense 5, that's been replaced by a double-tap gesture on the home button. This can take some getting used to, but it's actually quite clever. You can quickly access your open apps and switch between them without having to go back to the app drawer.
One feature that's missing from the BlinkFeed interface is the ability to add custom launch icons for quick actions like turning off Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent user experience. The HTC One also includes a range of customization options, including the ability to change the grid layout and view size of your widgets.
Overall, the BlinkFeed interface on the HTC One is a game-changer for Android users. Its real-time updates and customizable design make it feel like a premium smartphone experience. Whether you're looking for news, weather, or just want to stay connected with your friends and family, the BlinkFeed interface has got you covered.

up kind of like live tiles here you get all the information this article you want to read like let's say that one i'll go ahead and launch the article it doesn't launch inside of a browser it launches it inside a blinkfeed so it's pretty quick really a very neat design you can have that be your home screen if you choose to some other tweaks here let's go ahead and jump into the app drawer and things here look kind of different so first you'll see that same weather widget you can view things in alphabetical order custom or most recent so if you go into custom you can move things around if it lived right down there if you tapped it you had sort of a carousel you can view different things if you wanted to launch an app you could just select it otherwise you wanted to close something you could swipe it off you couldn't see that many things right there it was one of the things i really didn't like actually about sense4 well htc has made that totally different here with the sense 5. we only have two buttons we have a back button and a home button we don't have that multitasking button so if you want to access it you just double tap home and you get now this whole row and grid rather of applications that you've got open so you can see a ton more than you could on really any skin of android even native version of android if you want to close something you can swipe it up and if you want to launch into it you can go ahead and just tap it it's actually pretty neat it is kind of difficult though to make sure you tap that button twice and not hit what might be above it on the screen we'll go ahead and go back home widgets here are also redone and htced up if we go ahead and long press we can view the widgets here there's that weather clock i was talking about i love the htc ones are all here and a lot of other sort of custom synth tweaks what's not here though uh is any sort of blinkfeed icons i thought bling feed might be a widget you could add different home screens but that does not appear to be the case it looks like it's either that one home screen or nothing at all so we'll go ahead and go back home here um also sort of the same is this button ribbon across the bottom you can control what's there we have custom htc widgets uh it looks very similar uh to what we see in sense four so you can quick launch uh whatever you like you want to go to phone you can go ahead and go to phone you can see since the skin goes pretty deep here the dialer has been customized as well um one thing we don't have if we pull this down don't have any sort of quick launch icons there which i always like to see if you want to turn off bluetooth or turn off wi-fi whatever it might be and you can go through and add those certainly it's android so you get a ton of customization options here there's a lot more that sense 5 does i want to give you guys an overview of some of the most important stuff and some of the big stuff that i saw that was different as
