Why does Microsoft Insist on having to feature updates every year for Windows 10

welcome to the windows and computer channel and this is a little rant because we were you know I was listening to Windows weekly yesterday and Mary Jo fully that has a lot of contacts with you know people really close to Microsoft was asking a simple question at ignite that she wanted an answer so this year we've got two updates one is the May 20 1980 which was the big feature update and then we have the November 2019 I think which is a cumulative update a lot of you are installing it's quick it works a while no problem and the thing that is interesting when you look at that is that's the way things should be that's the way all of this should actually happen a big feature our data the beginning of the year for example in a small cumulative update to kind of you know make it right and and and just fix whatever you need to be fixed and and make sure that it's as stable as possible tweak the Windows operating system well what we learn is that of course what this year brings is not what will be 2020 apparently in 2020 they're pretty much talking about two feature updates that will be major updates so 20h one coming up we know that we'll have it insiders will have it at the end of next month to December January February probably maybe March will be when it's released everybody after it's been extensively tested that's a good thing they're testing these versions a lot more now so they're taking their times but still that would have been nice if it would be followed just like this year by you know 20 H to a small cumulative update once again that fixes things and put things right and make sure that Windows 10 is stable but what everybody was telling her is now don't think that it's that it's it's pretty much gonna stay two major updates a year so that means yet next year we're back in the bandwagon of getting to major feature updates and it's sad because for some reason it seems Microsoft is kind of not understanding that it's just annoying everybody that we don't need that there's no need to do that with Windows 10 honestly and one of those 10 as it is now is a pretty mature OS it doesn't really need that many new things in it you know and they could focus a lot more on making it you know as rock-solid as possible and and just kind of imitate this year I don't know maybe there are things that some people out there just don't understand and I still have a hard time understanding that Russian idea that we need to major feature updates it's not what people are asking for and it's not what people want once again you know for the most part if you look at all the previous builds or versions you know features that people don't use for the most part plus the fact that these are big updates that reinstall themselves well they've created problems you know especially in the 2018 the 1803 1809 versions weren't exactly upgrading that well for a lot of people and that needs to change I think for the future and I think Microsoft needs to understand that what is happening this year should be what's happening from now on in the future not going back to two major updates so that's my rant for today if you enjoy our videos please subscribe give us thumbs up thanks for watching

lot of contacts with you know people really close to Microsoft was asking a simple question at ignite that she wanted an answer so this year we've got two updates one is the May 20 1980 which was the big feature update and then we have the November 2019 I think which is a cumulative update a lot of you are installing it it's quick it works a while no problem and the thing that is interesting when you look at that is that's the way things should be that's the way all of this should actually happen a big feature our data the beginning of the year for example in a small cumulative update to kind of you know make it right and and and just fix whatever you need to be fixed and and make sure that it's as stable as possible tweak the Windows operating system well what we learn is that of course what this year brings is not what will be 2020 apparently in 2020 they're pretty much talking about two feature updates that will be major updates so 20h one coming up we know that we'll have it insiders will have it at the end of next month to December January February probably maybe March will be when it's released everybody after it's been extensively tested that's a good thing they're testing these versions a lot more now so they're taking their times but still that would have been nice if it would be followed just like this year by you know 20 H to a small cumulative update once again that fixes things and put things right and make sure that Windows 10 is stable but what everybody was telling her is now don't think that it's that it's it's pretty much gonna stay two major updates a year so that means yet next year we're back in the bandwagon of getting to major feature updates and it's sad because for some reason it seems Microsoft is kind of not understanding that it's just annoying everybody that we don't need that there's no need to do that with Windows 10 honestly and one of those 10 as it is now is a pretty mature OS it doesn't really need that many new things in it you know and they could focus a lot more on making it you know as rock-solid as possible and and just kind of imitate this year I don't know maybe there are things that some people out there just don't understand and I still have a hard time understanding that Russian idea that we need to major feature updates it's not what people are asking for and it's not what people want once again you know for the most part if you look at all the previous builds or versions you know features that people don't use for the most part plus the fact that these are big updates that reinstall themselves well they've created problems you know especially in the 2018 the 1803 1809 versions weren't exactly upgrading that well for a lot of people and that needs to change I think for the future and I think Microsoft needs to understand that what is happening this year should be what's happening from now on in the future not going back to two major updates so that's my rant for today if you
