percent just to make sure that it's stable and stuff it'll take a long time for it to fully come out but they did release it to anyone using discord nitro which is they're paid kind of subscription service esque thing to support their platform and I am one such subscriber and so now I have the video icon after hitting control R to reload my discord now if you go into your user settings now instead of just voice you have voice and video and you will want to want to of course make sure that this is set up properly I'm going to crank that back down a little bit so you have your normal voice settings here which should be fairly straightforward but now you have video settings and these audio options look a little new I they may not be I went ahead and turned off auto gain control since I have a specific set up mic anyway and I don't want it automatically gaining my mic you can turn off the noise suppression and echo cancellation I might actually keep that off they do they use opus voice video codec with a nice little joke there but now you have video settings kind of like Skype or any other video chat to choose your webcam and this will work for capture cards or virtual video devices and it has a bunch of stuff on here I'm just going to choose my Logitech Brio and then you hit test webcam and you can make sure you look nice and pretty or in my case apparently you look nice and black screen oh that's because that is hooked into my OBS I may have up there we go I kind of messed it up a little bit by having it looped into OBS but there we go and now I show up on webcam nice alright and then the cool thing here is that even though it has only rolled out video calling to 5 percent or 10 percent or whatever of users you can call other people up to like 10 at a time with video chat even if they don't have it whereas with a lot of features if you want to test it with someone the other people have to have it you can call anyone whether or not they have video chatting on their system so we're going to try it out here we have a couple people from the discord server of mine that hopped in a group chat here for us to test out video calling and we're going to see how it goes two of them have webcams one has a decent webcam I have a fairly decent webcam and the other has a bad webcam and one doesn't have a webcam at all so that they can see if they can do any sort of screen sharing or anything like that so we're going to go ahead and start the call all right yeah video calling hello and then oh my god it's working okay just appears to be wick yeah and I resize my window here and it looks very much like Google Hangouts yeah I do agree exactly in there so I am fullscreen what is this oh you can read I can change the layout alright that's neat so that's what these are here we go here's the full call view this is I'm gonna dub this Skype mode yeah a little slower icon there and then you can choose who shows up on camera whoa Wow Zella versal is not answering hello there you go hi and we do have a screen share option cool it locked me into the window of trying to choose a screen and I was trying to back out of it but apparently a mute your
