Unboxing the Samsung Gear S2 SmartWatch

I'm Michael Josh, and you're watching Gadget Match, where we bring you the latest unboxings and reviews of the most exciting tech gadgets. Today, we're excited to unbox the Samsung Gear S2 SmartWatch, a circular smartwatch that promises to take your fitness and notification game to the next level.

As we peel off the plastic from the box, we can see that it's a sleek and compact package. The seal is intact, and I'm just going to tear away the seal to reveal the contents of the box. And there you go! We have the Gear S2 Classic, along with an extra strap, a wireless charging dock, a micro USB charger connected to an adapter, a QuickStart guide, and a warranty card.

The Gear S2 Classic is a beautiful device, with a 30.2mm case that features a corrugated pattern on the ring around it. The strap is made of black genuine leather, which adds a touch of sophistication to this smartwatch. To turn the watch on, I need to press and hold this bottom button. As soon as I do, the watch springs to life, and I'm greeted with a user-friendly interface.

To get started, I need to install the Samsung Gear app if I have a Samsung phone. If not, I can download it from the Galaxy Apps store or head over to apps.samsung.com/gear. I've downloaded the app and launched it, and now I just need to connect my device to the watch by tapping "Connect to Gear." Once the devices are paired, the watch will proceed to download additional software.

As the software downloads, I'm asked to agree to all the terms and conditions. Once that's done, the watch is ready to go. It asks me if I want to use the default messaging app on my phone, and if so, which apps I want to send notifications to. I believe we've set up the watch similar to the Moto 360.

One of the standout features of the Gear S2 is its charging dock. Simply plop it down, and the watch will begin charging. You'll see a red notification light that will turn green once the charging is complete, along with a charging indicator. That's all for today's unboxing of the Samsung Gear S2 SmartWatch.
