Wyatt's Rotary Corolla Is Nearly Complete! _ Custom Taillights For The Plaidessey!

**Building and Preparing for Street Car's S Week Adventure**

I told myself that street car did not want something too obnoxious to drive. I didn't want it in front of me, you know filling the cab with fumes - not a good time. We have too many of those cars so got a full exhaust on it, whole flex and everything. Waste Gates recirculated into it. We have two resonators on here to kind of keep it quiet. It's a rotary, it's kind of what you're going to get with them and uh all the way out the back full 3 in the whole way and it sounds pretty good.

We have to fire it up for you guys here in a minute and show you that um and then also just other little stuff we got rear brakes on it now. Uh we did decide to stay with the tiny little A86 axle for now, it's probably going to break but it's fine. Uh I don't know they say they take 200-210 horsepower and they're about done so we'll see how long we can make that live. But we are going to be running that on S week so our biggest thing for the whole week is just keeping this poor little thing alive.

Uh we got air shocked back here because the second I put the tires on I noticed they were rubbing the fenders. Yeah it also does have some new wheels in the back yep. So we were talking well, I don't know if we ever mentioned it but we had to get some different wheels for the Slicks to go on because you cannot do S week on anything other than a Radi deal or a slick. Got these to be in my rollers and then we have the old Wheels over there in the corner that we're going to put some old slicks off of the hatch on and run those on the rear of this thing for SI week.

There's really no point, we don't need them because we're going to have to go so slow out of the hole but we have to to be able to make our runs. So got that taken care of and just really plugging away at a ton of little stuff and trying to get this thing buttoned up best we can. Uh yeah once we get that drive shaft picked up, we'll be able to take this thing out and drive it around the block. Got the hood on this thing, yeah man no hood exit, no hood exit full full hood on it.

I was not going to, we're not going to make it happen with that sidekick manifold I knew for sure the hood was going on it. Uh got most of the front end together also. I don't know if that was in the last video. Fresh turn signals looking spiffy and then under here, looking like a pretty complete engine finally looking very nice under here.

So couple things I want to paint in the future but for right now just get it working make sure it's ready for S week uh you know all even even all the amenities you know street car. We got our windshield washer tank we got windshield wipers on this thing full Street car so it's uh pretty much ready man. I think we just need to put some transmission fluid in it, differential fluid put the drive shaft in it and then take it around the block see if it drives yeah.

Got charge pipes everything ready to go yep big thank you to our guys over at turbos smart while we're talking about those got our race port on there and also their 60 mil wastegate yep since we didn't have that stuff on the gate recirculating into the exhaust I don't know if you could see that when it was up on the lift. Uh yeah big thanks to them fire this thing up yeah let he that exhaust quick definitely need some work on the tuna but uh we'll get that dialed in later definitely a lot quieter yeah that's a lot better than it was, don't have to wear your earb now it's right there.

Yeah man we're really close so we're going to go get it tuned later this week or we're not going to get it tuned I'm going to tune it hopefully not blow it up later this week and uh other than that hopefully it's ready to go for Sick week. Really can't think of anything that would go wrong last minute build yep, Thousand Mile Road Trip kind of like last year decided you know with a month in advance that it's going and uh it is mostly there so I don't think we're going have too many issues but you know you never really know what this kind of thing especially rotaries who knows it's all kinds of black magic going on in there spinning things Doritos Anything could happen so yeah that's where we're at with it man, close cool get this thing tuned get a drive shaft and she should be ready to go.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys we are back at the junkyard we're here at the LKQ in Tampa and we are getting a passenger door for the platy today because the door that is on there right now doesn't have a window in it there's no regulator it's also missing a mirror so we're trying to get the platy ready for sick week there was one in their inventory that we were going to come look at but right as we got here turns out they just got a fresh unit in and they are letting us rip whatever parts we want off of it they actually moved it right over here for us this thing hasn't even been put in line to be uh picked on yet so we're going first dibs on this fresh Odyssey here and it's the same exact color as my OG one so we're here today for the passenger door and we figured since it was the same color we also were going to take the whole front end off the rear hatch and all of the parts we borrowed from my van but after we got it over here the front end isn't as perfect as I thought it was the Hood's a little warped and beat up and it has this weird like thing going on with the bumper It's all bulged and like I don't know what they did here it's like they ran into something and then they tried to spray paint over it it looks like so we were going to take the front end but if I have to buy it I'll just wait and get like a you know pristine front end that we can paint later on but for now we're going to at least take the passenger door and the rear hatch so we can put the rear hatch back on the other van and the headliner in this one looks freaking beautiful so if we can we're going to try to also get the headliner out of this thing we already started to try to pick away at it here because the headliner and the platy is pretty rough has all those push pins holding it together and uh I do want to do like a custom plaid headliner eventually so if we get a better conditioned headliner we might be able to do that and then put it into the van later on but that's enough of that we're going to go ahead and get these doors and we'll be on our way all right we got the passenger door off we got the headliner dropped down here and we're starting to pull it out of the back and actually ended up working out pretty good here I was worried this wouldn't fit through the back hatch but after it dropped down she's coming right out perfect not sure how we're getting this one home but got a new headliner for the platy beautiful no push pins no push pins holding it together so now we just need to get the hatch off we're good to go all right guys we got the headliner and the doors all loaded up here ready to go back home and while we were digging through the Odyssey here we found some junkyard treasure in the back we found a toy Bugatti check that unit out with a cracked windshield heck yeah and we also found a tore up $1 bill it's always awesome to find some money in these junkyard cars help pay for your parts that you're pulling but I don't even know if this dollar is good anymore since it's so tore up so we wrote on it it says you won the junkyard Lottery and I signed the dollar and we're going to go put this in a random Honda over there for all my Honda people out there so if you come to the LKQ in uh Tampa you can get the Bugatti and the dollar so we're going to go find a car to put it in cuz I'm not sure if they're going to clean this thing out and they might end up taking this stuff cuz all these cars they haven't gone through yet since we got first dibs on this thing so let's go find a Honda to put it in we found the perfect Civic over here guys definitely belong to a Honda boy got these aftermarket wheels on here looks like you had some lowering springs you can even see the cable hanging out from the radio dude look even had some aftermarket headers on this thing DC headers on a d17 this is a newer one so it doesn't have the D16 in it oh is that his Instagram that's his inst cars of the something the ba and then I don't know if there was more of the sticker oh dude found it this has to be him cars of the bay that is 100% the same car it had underglow dude does this called underglow oh yeah there's a strip back here yeah purple underglow cars of the bay we found your Civic yeah dude that's definitely him that's hilarious that's what it looked like a year ago now the poor thing sitting in a junkyard rotten away you know what since that dollar might be bad I'mma up the ante a little bit I think I have a five a whole $6 doll in the who got out of here shut the door on this thing there you go it's in the glove box of the Civic it's in row six all right guys we've been working on the plasy for a couple days now we went ahead and got the door on from the junkyard so now we have a window on this side we also have the mirror and this door is just in a lot better shape than the other one was and I also went ahead and tried to put as much of the door card on there as I could as you can see I had to notch a ton of it out of there I mean it looks kind of ugly but it does work we have our handle to open the door I had to notch it pretty good right here right by this window switch cuz when I shut the door you can see how close that Dash comes to it right in there so it's notched out perfectly to fit that I didn't want to cut up any of the Tesla stuff so I was just experimenting with that it does have a door card on so now when I get in I can actually open the handle and get out now nice and easily works just fine so we're also going to try to hook up the windows because The Regulators are good in both the doors now so we actually have the windows working hopefully here soon as well and yeah got that on and then been working on a couple things in the back hatch as well so the last thing I did back here was get the outer tail lights working I took apart the Tesla tail lights I got those guys working we had the blinkers work and stuff like that but I also went ahead and took the rear hatch apart from the Tesla we had it sitting out over here I took the wiring harness out of it I took the reverse camera out of it all that stuff and I went ahead and pulled the tail lights apart from the hatch as well so just like how I did the outer tail lights I pulled these guys apart we had this led board inside both of the hatch tail lights and I took the Odyssey ones apart used a heat gun Pride those guys apart and I just bolted all of this stuff up into these uh middle housings here and I even was able to reuse the reverse lights I got those mounted right here in the little reverse light uh white square here so we have the full set of tail lights working on the platy and if you look right here I also got the rear view camera installed and up under here I even put the Tesla license plate lights back in this thing because I actually had to use the hole right here from the odyssey's license plate light to run the wiring for that reverse camera went ahead and uh tucked everything up and nice into the hatch here got it all cleaned up out of the way so we could actually put the plastic back over this thing I had to extend the wires to the uh middle tail lights there on the hatch and I had to extend the wires going to those little license plate lights and luckily the cable to the reverse camera reached because that's like a little fiber optic cable it's not as easy as is just cutting it and extending it but luckily that reached so all that's tucked up out of the way the reverse camera works now so that's awesome we put it in reverse we have the reverse camera and we'll go ahead and show you guys the tail lights keep in mind I just got to put this cover back on I just wanted to leave that off to show you guys how I got that on there but I just going to hop in there hit the headlights you can see we got the complete Tesla tail lights on the platy here I think it came out freaking sick cuz at night you're going to think that you're following a Tesla cuz you really can't see the shape of the housing when it's dark but it looks really good so we just got to get this one covered up and the back hatch of the Tesla is just about done there so right now we are getting the platy ready to go on sik week if you guys don't know s week is about a Thousand Mile Drive that a whole bunch of drag cars go on from drag strip to drag strip and right now we don't have any roll cage or roll bar in this thing and they do Tech each vehicle that participates and right now we would only be able to go about 115 would be where our limits at with no sort of roll cage or roll bar and and we want to obviously go as fast as we can for this event and we don't think we can get a full blown eight or 10o roll cage in this thing but we think we can at least get a Sixpoint hoop with uh some door bars to at least allow us to go 999 and slower so we have the EXO cage that came off of eroy this thing has just been sitting around and since this has already been mocked up in the Tesla and it already bolts in we figured we can go ahead and cut everything off of the front of it here and we can use the existing roll bar right here and the bars that go back to the strut towers and then all we have to do is make some new door bars that go straight forward and bolt down there because these with the uh swoop they have on them aren't going to work for us anymore so then we'll have a Sixpoint roll cage in this thing and we can go $9.99 at least when this was a Tesla with the normal Tesla body because of how new it was it was safe and allowed to go the speeds it was with no cage but since we cut all of that off and we put a older body on this thing this now has to follow the body that is now on the vehicle so going to inspect it as if it's an early 2000s Honda Odyssey Minivan so an early 2000s Honda Odyssey Minivan with no roll cage going nines they're not going to allow that so we're going to go ahead and cut this thing up and see if we can get it to fit into the platy here so we at least have some sort of roll bar in this thing and we Tech to go as fast as we can for S weed all right guys we got the platy backed out here we were able to fit the old ery cage in here after we cut the uh bars off of the front of the main hoop there so now we have a Sixpoint roll cage technically a fivepoint because we found out we only need the driver side door bar while I just got that welded in there yeah according to nhr rule book we can consider this a roll bar and it's all we need to go 100 so according to the rule book it should pass Tech no problem and uh that's what we build it to very minimalist and it's not the permanent cage that's going to be in here so just trying to get it ready for us to go on S week so that we can run fast as we want just needs a little quick paint job on this bar here yep and as she saw it he just tied it down to the front here I mean it's tough cuz it's a full aluminum body car it's a Tesla not many people put roll cages in Teslas yep and since I already said since we modified the whole body of this thing they're going to treat this thing as if it's a 2,000 Odyssey cuz that's what they see right so you're probably also going to be curious about this Gap right here because this is so much lower as it was eroid but we actually looked at the rule book and this top bar actually needs to be within 5 in of your helmet and it is within that spec or it has to be within one in of the roof line there so yeah should be good you can have it either way technically both ways are right so shouldn't have any problems with it we shall see y we'll see what they say tell but uh yeah man got that done just been plugging away other stuff on this thing also like headlights Daylights turn signals yeah you want to show them that too so I got the tail lights done and why got the headlights knocked out so we do have one headlight out right now so those are our blinkers we got the hazards going right now yeah and W actually took apart the Tesla headlight and pulled the LED strip out of those put them in here and we are using the f Factory Odyssey bulbs and he just powered those directly off the Tesla's 15v system here Y and what's nice is all this is still switched through the center display it's all triggered off of existing stuff in the car so like turn signals both work off of the switch on the steering wheel so they'll Auto cancel when you turn the wheels so like that you go left turn the wheels left Go Auto cancel so like just all those little cool Creature Comforts you know instead of driving down the road with your turn signals on and then same thing with the headlights are done through the the dash still uh the auto functionality still works with them so when it's bright and dark out they will Auto turn on and off uh but yeah right now we can flip those on yeah we just got have one bulb out only got one headlight working right now we just got to get a new bulb on that side it did work but it just shorted on us maybe it has something to do with it being on 15 volts but I don't think so I think that they were working for a while kind of got rattled and uh you know it took 18 volts to fry the ones in the MR2 so I think these all right but who knows the time will tell again it is a little dimmer out here so hit the headlights on so you can see the center ones come on there we go now you can see them a lot better now it's starting to get a little darker out those came out sweet and then why also got the windows wired up yep so now you got working Windows those are also on 15 volt and they rip yep way better than your old 11vt yep so we got Windows working on both sides we just got to throw the doors back on the rear there and it's just about ready to go yep waiting on some tires though yep it's our biggest setback right now so once we have tires this thing should be ready to go for SI week just a couple little more things to button up and be good to go yep see how far you make it on a charge so why it's been getting a ton done on the Corolla this last week yeah man trying to plug away as it at it as fast as we can uh SI week's coming up a little bit quick and we had a ton to do so a lot of late nights 2: a.m. mornings most of last week but it's pretty close yeah I really didn't film too much of it kind of my bad but it's been going behind the scenes here you know I don't expect Kyle to be out here till 2: in the morning with me trying to film stuff so it's getting there though man it's really close to being done we are waiting on a drive shaft and otherwise it's really close we got to do like the trailer hitch uh a couple of little wiring changes and then it's pretty much done at least that's all I have on my list I'm going to go drive it I'll probably find 10 more things but for now that should should be done so yeah you want to go ahead and show them the exhaust you got on here yeah got a full exhaust on this unit yep I told myself street car did not want something too obnoxious to drive I didn't want it in front of me you know filling the cab with fumes not a good time we have too many of those cars so got a full exhaust on it whole flex and everything waste Gates recirculated into it we have two resonators on here to kind of keep it qush it's a rotary it's kind of what you're going to get with them and uh all the way out the back full 3 in the whole way and it sounds pretty good we have to fire it up for you guys here in a minute and show you that um and then also just other little stuff we got rear brakes on it buttoned up best we can and uh yeah once we get that drive shaft picked up we'll be able to take this thing out and drive it around the block got the hood on this thing yeah man no hood exit no hood exit full full hood on it I was not going to we're not going to make it happen with that sidekick manifold I I knew for sure the hood was going on it uh got most of the front end together also I don't know if that was in the last video fresh turn signals looking spiffy and then under here're looking like a pretty complete engine finally looking very nice under here so couple things I want to paint wipers on this thing full Street car so it's uh pretty much ready man I think we just need to put some transmission fluid in it differential fluid put the drive shaft in it and then take it around the block see if it drives yeah got charge pipes everything ready to go yep big thank you to our guys over at turbos smart while we're talking about those got our race port on there and also their 60 mil wastegate yep since we didn't have that stuff on the gate recirculating into the exhaust I don't know if you could see that when it was up on the lift yep it's all packaged very tightly in there not a whole lot of room to work on this thing but uh yeah big thanks to them fire this thing up yeah let he that exhaust quick definitely need some work on the tuna but uh we'll get that dialed in later definitely a lot quieter yeah that's a lot better than it was don't have to wear your earb now it's right there yeah man we're really close so we're going to go get it tuned later this week or we're not going to get it tuned I'm going to tune it hopefully not blow it up later this week and uh other than that hopefully it's ready to go for sick week I really can't think of anything that would go wrong last minute build yep Thousand Mile Road Trip kind of like last year decided you know with a month in advance that it's going and uh it is mostly there so I don't think we're going have too many issues but you know you never really know what this kind of thing especially rotaries who knows it's all kinds of black magic going on in there spinning things Doritos Anything could happen so yeah that's where we're at with it man close cool get this thing tuned get a drive shaft and she should be ready to go wewhat's up guys we are back at the junkyard we're here at the LKQ in Tampa and we are getting a passenger door for the platy today because the door that is on there right now doesn't have a window in it there's no regulator it's also missing a mirror so we're trying to get the platy so we're going to go ahead and cut this thing up and see if we can get it to fit into the platy here so we at least have some sort of roll bar in this thing and we Tech to go as fast as we can for S weed all right guys we got the platy backed out here we were able to fit the old ery cage in here after we cut the uh bars off of the front of the main hoop there so now we have a Sixpoint roll cage technically a fivepoint because we found out we only need the driver side door bar while I just got that welded in there yeah according to nhr rule book we can consider this a roll bar and it's all we need to go 100 so according to the rule book it should pass Tech no problem and uh that's what we build it to very minimalist and it's not the permanent cage that's going to be in here so just trying to get it ready for us to go on S week so that we can run fast as we want just needs a little quick paint job on this bar here yep and as she saw it he just tied it down to the front here I mean it's tough cuz it's a full aluminum body car it's a Tesla not many people put roll cages in Teslas yep and since I already said since we modified the whole body of this thing they're going to treat this thing as if it's a 2,000 Odyssey cuz that's what they see right so you're probably also going to be curious about this Gap right here because this is so much lower as it was eroid but we actually looked at the rule book and this top bar actually needs to be within 5 in of your helmet and it is within that spec or it has to be within one in of the roof line there so yeah should be good you can have it either way technically both ways are right so shouldn't have any problems with it we shall see y we'll see what they say tell but uh yeah man got that done just been plugging away other stuff on this thing also like headlights Daylights turn signals yeah you want to show them that too so I got the tail lights done and why got the headlights knocked out so we do have one headlight out right now so those are our blinkers we got the hazards going right now yeah and W actually took apart the Tesla headlight and pulled the LED strip out of those put them in here and we are using the f Factory Odyssey bulbs and he just powered those directly off the Tesla's 15v system here Y and what's nice is all this is still switched through the center display it's all triggered off of existing stuff in the car so like turn signals both work off of the switch on the steering wheel so they'll Auto cancel when you turn the wheels so like that you go left turn the wheels left Go Auto cancel so like just all those little cool Creature Comforts you know instead of driving down the road with your turn signals on and then same thing with the headlights are done through the the dash still uh the auto functionality still works with them so when it's bright and dark out they will Auto turn on and off uh but yeah right now we can flip those on yeah we just got have one bulb out only got one headlight working right now we just got to get a new bulb on that side it did work but it just shorted on us maybe it has something to do with it being on 15 volts but I don't think so I think that they were working for a while kind of got rattled and uh you know it took 18 volts to fry the ones in the MR2 so I think these all right but who knows the time will tell again it is a little dimmer out here so hit the headlights on so you can see the center ones come on there we go now you can see them a lot better now it's starting to get a little darker out those came out sweet and then why also got the windows wired up yep so now you got working Windows those are also on 15 volt and they rip yep way better than your old 11vt yep so we got Windows working on both sides we just got to throw the doors back on the rear there and it's just about ready to go yep waiting on some tires though yep it's our biggest setback right now so once we have tires this thing should be ready to go for SI week just a couple little more things to button up and be good to go yep see how far you make it on a charge so why it's been getting a ton done on the Corolla this last week yeah man trying to plug away as it at it as fast as we can uh SI week's coming up a little bit quick and we had a ton to do so a lot of late nights 2: a.m. mornings most of last week but it's pretty close yeah I really didn't film too much of it kind of my bad but it's been going behind the scenes here you know I don't expect Kyle to be out here till 2: in the morning with me trying to film stuff so it's getting there though man it's really close to being done we are waiting on a drive shaft and otherwise it's really close we got to do like the trailer hitch uh a couple of little wiring changes and then it's pretty much done at least that's all I have on my list I'm going to go drive it I'll probably find 10 more things but for now that should should be done so yeah you want to go ahead and show them the exhaust you got on here yeah got a full exhaust on this unit yep I told myself street car did not want something too obnoxious to drive I didn't want it in front of me you know filling the cab with fumes not a good time we have too many of those cars so got a full exhaust on it whole flex and everything waste Gates recirculated into it we have two resonators on here to kind of keep it qush it's a rotary it's kind of what you're going to get with them and uh all the way out the back full 3 in the whole way and it sounds pretty good we have to fire it up for you guys here in a minute and show you that um and then also just other little stuff we got rear brakes on it now uh we did decide to stay with the tiny little a86 axle for now it's probably going to break but it's fine um I don't know they say they take 200 210 horsepower and they're about done so we'll see how long we can make that live but we are going to be running that on S week so our biggest thing for the whole week is just keeping this poor little thing alive uh we got air shocked back here because the second I put the tires on I noticed they were rubbing the fenders yeah it also does have some new wheels in the back yep so we were talking well I don't know if we ever mentioned it but we had to get some different wheels for the Slicks to go on because you cannot do s week on anything other than a radi deal or a slick so got these to be in my rollers and then we have the old Wheels over there in the corner that we're going to put some old slicks off of the hatch on and run those on the rear of this thing for SI week and there's really no point we don't need them because we're going to have to go so slow out of the hole but we have to to be able to make our runs so we got that taken care of and just really plugging away at a ton of little stuff and trying to get this thing buttoned up best we can and uh yeah once we get that drive shaft picked up we'll be able to take this thing out and drive it around the block got the hood on this thing yeah man no hood exit no hood exit full full hood on it I was not going to we're not going to make it happen with that sidekick manifold I I knew for sure the hood was going on it uh got most of the front end together also I don't know if that was in the last video fresh turn signals looking spiffy and then under here're looking like a pretty complete engine finally looking very nice under here so couple things I want to paint in the future but for right now just get it working make sure it's ready for S week uh you know all even even all the amenities you know street car we got our windshield washer tank we got windshield wipers on this thing full Street car so it's uh pretty much ready man I think we just need to put some transmission fluid in it differential fluid put the drive shaft in it and then take it around the block see if it drives yeah got charge pipes everything ready to go yep big thank you to our guys over at turbos smart while we're talking about those got our race port on there and also their 60 mil wastegate yep since we didn't have that stuff on the gate recirculating into the exhaust I don't know if you could see that when it was up on the lift yep it's all packaged very tightly in there not a whole lot of room to work on this thing but uh yeah big thanks to them fire this thing up yeah let he that exhaust quick definitely need some work on the tuna but uh we'll get that dialed in later definitely a lot quieter yeah that's a lot better than it was don't have to wear your earb now it's right there yeah man we're really close so we're going to go get it tuned later this week or we're not going to get it tuned I'm going to tune it hopefully not blow it up later this week and uh other than that hopefully it's ready to go for sick week I really can't think of anything that would go wrong last minute build yep Thousand Mile Road Trip kind of like last year decided you know with a month in advance that it's going and uh it is mostly there so I don't think we're going have too many issues but you know you never really know what this kind of thing especially rotaries who knows it's all kinds of black magic going on in there spinning things Doritos Anything could happen so yeah that's where we're at with it man close cool get this thing tuned get a drive shaft and she should be ready to go we\n"
