Impressions on iPhone 5S from a Android Users Perspective

**Transferring Files and Apps without iTunes**

I recently had the opportunity to transfer files and apps from my iPhone to a personal computer, and I was impressed with how easy it was using a third-party app. This experience has shown me that there are alternative methods for transferring data from an iPhone to a PC, which can be very useful in certain situations.

Using a third-party app, I was able to easily transfer some files and apps between my iPhone and the computer without having to use iTunes. This was possible because of the app's ability to handle file transfers and app management on the computer side. I was also able to upload some pictures from the computer to my iPhone using this method, which worked perfectly.

While it may not be as seamless as using iTunes, transferring files and apps using a third-party app is definitely a viable alternative. However, I must say that I still prefer using iTunes for certain tasks, such as backing up my entire iPhone. When I need to transfer data from my iPhone to another device or perform a hard reset, I find it very easy to use iTunes to restore the data.

**Camera Performance**

One of the features that caught my attention when testing the iPhone 5s was its camera performance. The phone's eight-megapixel sensor and dual flash system impressed me with its ability to capture high-quality photos in low-light conditions. In many cases, I found that the flash did not fire even when it seemed like it would, but the resulting photos still turned out well.

I must admit that I didn't do a side-by-side comparison of the iPhone's camera performance with other Android phones, but overall, I was very impressed with the quality of the photos taken by the iPhone 5s. The camera's ability to capture great photos in low-light conditions is definitely an asset for anyone who wants to take high-quality photos using their smartphone.

However, one area where I think the iPhone could improve is in terms of customization options. For example, some Android phones offer widgets that provide additional information and functionality on the home screen. While the iPhone's interface is sleek and easy to use, it lacks this level of customization, which may be a drawback for some users.

**Performance and Power Consumption**

Another aspect of the iPhone 5s that I wanted to test was its performance and power consumption. With only 1 GB of RAM, I was concerned that the phone might experience lag or slow down when switching between multiple apps. However, my experience with using the Safari web browser and the Google Chrome app on the phone suggests that it is capable of handling multiple tabs without any issues.

In fact, most of the time, the phone performed very smoothly, even when I had multiple tabs open at the same time. The only instance where I noticed a problem was when I had to reload one of the tabs, which would cause it to refresh and potentially slow down slightly. While this is not ideal, it's worth noting that most people don't typically have multiple tabs open all at once.

Overall, I was pleased with the iPhone 5s's performance, especially considering its relatively low amount of RAM. However, if you're someone who uses your phone extensively, you might find the lack of more power and multitasking capabilities to be a drawback.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, my experience with the iPhone 5s has been very positive. The camera's performance in low-light conditions was impressive, and the phone's smooth performance made it easy to use multiple apps at once. While there are some drawbacks, such as the lack of customization options and limited multitasking capabilities, I believe that these are minor complaints compared to the overall quality of the phone.

As someone who has used Android phones before, I can appreciate the sleek design and ease of use of the iPhone 5s. However, I also understand the importance of having more power and flexibility in a smartphone. If you're considering purchasing an iPhone or upgrading from another device, I would recommend giving the iPhone 5s a try to see if it meets your needs.

**Future Developments**

Finally, I want to mention one thing that I hope Apple will address in future updates to the iPhone: increasing the physical size of the phone. As someone who prefers a slightly larger screen real estate, I find the current size of the iPhone 5s to be a bit limiting. If Apple could provide more options for users, such as an option to increase the screen size or add more features to the existing design, it would definitely make the phone more appealing to some users.

Additionally, I hope that future updates will include additional keyboard functionality and features. The current keyboard is functional, but it's not exactly what I would call "high-end." A swipe keyboard feature, for example, would be a great addition to the iPhone 5s, making it even more versatile and user-friendly.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit and I have been using this iPhone 5s now for about 5 days and I just want to share my initial impressions about the iPhone 5s again no way this is a review of the iPhone or iOS but this is just coming from a perspective of a hardcore Android user and I just want to share my experience regarding the iPhone so again if you are looking for what do you say iPhone Styne kind of review this is not the one and again if you are an Android fanboy or what do you say I was fine but just don't watch this video because in this video I found some of the things that I liked about the iOS and some wait where Android goes ahead so let me give you an idea and I have made some pointers so let's get on with this the first thing that I have felt while using this iPhone 5s is this size obviously yes Android phones are a lot larger and this iPhone 5s puts what a 4-inch screen and it's been now 5 years since I am using it but still I feel it's a little bit small I would say that hopefully in when we get the new iPhone that is iPhone 6 it will be great if we have slightly larger Android phone I don't want them to be as large as some of the Android phones that are going about the 5 inch mark 5.5 not that but I would say a modest increase of around 4.5 inches to 4.7 inches would be a welcome move the thing is that I use a lot of web browsing I do a lot of web browsing on my phones and for the sites that I use frequently I need to use the what do you say desktop but not the mobile mode and due to the small screen size I had to pan around a lot left to right a lot on the iPhone so huge slightly larger screen would be a good thing in my opinion and the next thing is I was actually pretty impressed by what do you say the privacy features the iPhone 5s comes with the iOS 7 and one thing I really liked is the amount of privacy and the control that you can have on the apps it's actually much better than Android for example let's say I just installed what you say the YouTube app on this iPhone and when I am started and I was running the YouTube app immediately after I installed asked me do I should I give to the microphone so it's the way Apple controls the kind of permissions that you can give per app is excellent on Android when you install a new app etc you just agree to all the terms it's not that selectively let's say you have one app you don't want that app to get access to your microphone or something like that you can't do and the level of control that and the privacy controls that iOS 7 has I would say is a big improvement over Android and I would like to see something like that on Android regarding this and a lot of people have asked me for example if you have been using an Android phone probably you might be using a gmail account and all your contacts etc might be on that actually it was very easy for me to set up my gmail account on the iPhone and also it automatically what you say downloaded all the contacts so that was very easy am actually Google has a full dedicated gmail app on the iPhone so you can use that in fact all the Google specific apps were available on the iPhone for example G+ I also had the use the YouTube app and the Gmail app in fact even chromecast works perfectly by the iPhone using the YouTube app now coming to the voice assistant that is Siri I actually used CD earlier when I don't recall it on iOS 6 or something and obviously I'm an Indian so I have an Indian accent it was not that great but on this iPhone 5s and iOS 7 Siri worked for most of the pub yes if I used to dictate long sentences or something like that it used to goof up but for small tasks like switch on Bluetooth switch on Wi-Fi switcher of something or set an a reminder it worked perfectly again also you can download the Google now app and that also actually works perfectly on the iPhone 5s so we do have Google now also via the Google app on the iPhone now coming to the battery life here I was actually pleasantly surprised I did not expect great battery life out of the iPhone 5s because it's actually pretty smaller and also in terms of the milliamp our battery size it's pretty small compared to many of the Android phones if I recall it's around just around 1500 milli amperes or something on the iPhone when many of the Android phones are hovering above 2300 2500 or something like that but in my day to day usage during the past five days I would say the battery life is actually pretty decent and to compare it with other Android phones if I would say it's actually much better than the Nexus 5 and almost as close to the Samsung Galaxy s4 so I was pleasantly surprised with the battery life on the iPhone 5s now coming to one thing that I was actually a little bit annoyed is I've been an iPhone user and I actually use the swipe keyboard a lot or the Android phone but with iOS we cannot customize the keyboard and Apple doesn't have the swipe line functionality so that was kind of annoying because it would have been great the physically the iPhone is very comfortable to be used in just a single hand and I would love to have something like swipe where you can just swipe around and easily type again I hope in the next iterations of iOS Apple provides some kind of functionality like that now coming to another thing that I really liked about the iPhone is this touch ID that is the fingerprint scanner and actually it work brilliantly if you just lock the phone you don't have to enter a passcode or something like that you just place your finger for example you can scan and it unlocks and actually this worked brilliantly I would say it worked flawlessly only one time it did not work was when my thumb was a little bit wet but I just wiped it and it was started working another good thing is that if you have touch ID on the for example on the iPhone 5s it's there you can also enable it for iTunes what do you say app sorry App Store purchases and you don't have to enter that long password or whatever you have for your app so you can just place your thumb and you can do purchases so the implementation of touch ID is brilliant on this and it works beautifully on the iPhone 5s now here is one thing I was actually pretty surprised and some of you will hate me for this this is regarding the stability of the iPhone 5s when I got it got an immediate update I think so it was to iOS 7.0 dot 6 and I applied that but the first two days I heavily used this iPhone and during that time at the iPhone crashed on me actually rebooted automatically two times and once I had a crash and I was actually pretty surprised because I never expected that but I went to some Apple forums and there was a thread about it actually 11 pages long about it and some of the users are experiencing that and from what I gathered many of the users were telling that if you disable the touch ID it should not happen and Apple is kind of aware of this issue and it's not happening to everybody so you might not experience it but it's happening to some of the people and for me it happened actually it happened to me when I was in the App Store two times so maybe it's correlated to that I do not know but they say that you can disable the touch ID and it should not happen and Apple might release a patch the iOS 7.1 is supposed to come out in the next couple of weeks and that should address the issue so I'll let you guys know how was the experience after 7.1 regarding that but in the last two days surprisingly again I didn't have a crash and I'm still using a touch ID so I just wanted to talk about this slight stability issues and some of my friends actually have migrated from the iPhone 5 to 5 s and they said that they also experienced one or two minor reboots here and there but actually one of the frame just recently moved to the iPhone 5s and he said I I phone Phi 1 is i-15 like he did not experience this crash so it's kind of interesting so maybe which is 7.1 that but might be addressed now coming to one more thing that is wireless transfer for example I'm an Android user and on Android we don't have something like iTunes I'll come back to iTunes a bit later and actually I have iTunes installed but I haven't synced this iPhone 5s yet with iTunes and I just wanted to transfer the photos that I took from my iPhone to a PC or any device wirelessly and using a third-party app I could do that for example using the third party app also yet just yesterday I went to my friend's house and we took some pictures from my iPhone and I was easily able to transfer those pictures to this personal computer without using any software on that country so that is possible using a third-party app I can make a dedicated video regarding that also I could actually he also uploaded some of the pictures that he had on a specie to the iPhone using that app and that work so yes you can transfer some apps or sorry some files etc without using iTunes so that is kind of working and I was happy because I don't yeah I phone what do you say iTunes is great but I personally do not like iTunes a lot one thing I really like about iTunes is that a good thing about iTunes is that it can easily do the entire backup of your what do you say iPhone and let's say you move to another iPhone or you want to do a hard reset it's very easy to restore back I
